“I had my abex procedure 5 weeks ago. I’m writing the review that I wish I could have read when I was doing my own research. I can say that I’ve had a really great experience working with everyone from Bailey the consultant to Dr. Turner the surgeon. My results are already absolutely fantastic. So I started out at 130 lbs (5’3”) but I had A LOT of extra skin. I had lost 50 lbs a few years ago after having kids and I was tired of stuffing my apron belly into my jeans. I loved that I didn’t have to go under general anesthesia. Dr. Turner was great and even had me come in a couple days after on the weekend so he could check on my incision to make sure it wasn’t separating.

Here’s the downside. I, apparently, was that outlier of the person who felt everything during the surgery. It was pretty brutal, to be completely honest. Fortunately, I have a high pain tolerance, though I’m not sure that’s something to brag about lol. I felt everything. It was really gnarly. Was the surgery in itself traumatic? Yes. Was the recovery much more painful and difficult than i expected? Yes. I did feel a little misled by the recovery aspect. There’s no way I could have been back at work in one week. Now at 5 weeks, I’m finally feeling close to normal, physically. Was it worth it? Absolutely! No regrets. Not one. My results are better than I ever could have imagined. I had been overweight since early childhood. For the first time ever, I have a cute belly button and no muffin top! I can’t wait to show off my new body in a bikini…I’ve always had to cover my belly but now I’m completely proportional and I have massive gratitude for that!”

After about 5 minutes of being in my consultation with Bailey I was 100% ready to schedule a procedure with them! She answered every question I had and showed a genuine excitement to help me get my dream body. “I do not recommend! Once they receive payment you're just a number. The first surgeon I consulted with had a terrible bedside manner. So that set a negative tone. Dr. Sheridan ended up performing my procedure and he did a good job. However, I received zero follow-up after my procedure. It's very difficult to schedule an appointment and I haven't had a Venus session yet. I'm almost 1 month post op and I required minimal work so it's too early to judge my results. But, I've told all of my friends and coworkers that were considering going to Sono Bello to reconsider.”

“I went in yesterday for my abEX procedure and my nurse Casey was super. She made sure that I was comfortable and all my questions were answered. Dr. Boedecker has the best bedside manner and you can tell she really cares about you. When she was marking me up I felt like she was an artist. After the procedure Casey made sure I knew what to do when I got home. I cannot wait to see my results, so far what I see, looks really good. Last night Dr. Boedecker called to check on me and that was the best thing because that tells me she really cares. This is definitely a place to go for liposuction and the abEX.”

“Visit Piazza Center instead - they are knowledgeable, professional and personable.

Prior to the appointment I got 5 calls only because I provided my info clicked the chat box they had wide open availability. I thought I’d give it a try and consult.
I was 10minutes late, reason does not matter - my fault, but there was not an intent to honor the appointment at that time. No one would answer the phones to let them know I was running late and if I should come in at that point.
Things happen. I’m certain they are not on schedule themselves all the time.
At Sono Bello you’d be just a number of many more, not a person. I didn’t even know who I was meeting. They probably have last minute bookings only. Glad this happened on the first appointment, I will absolutely not come back.”

“I went through a very rare occurrence after my first procedure and was dealing with a lot personally. Everyone and I mean everyone was amazing. They are always compassionate and understanding of my conflicts that arise. Dr. JOHNSON is a great guy. He is awesome at what he does. There is already a huge difference in my body and so far I have only gotten my first lipo. I have to wait a bit for my next one, which includes the abex. “I had my initial consult in the Waco, Texas location in February 2023. I had so many questions and Ivonne C was the most helpful. She explained everything about what the procedures offered and yes the cost. We always need to know about the cost. She is very knowledgeable. She helped ease my anxiety. I left the appt not knowing if I would schedule the surgery as I needed to discuss with my spouse . Ivonne was never pushy. She gave me her personal cell number and told me to reach out if I had any questions. My appt was on a Friday so I took the weekend to decide. Once I decided to book the surgery she walked me through the process and scheduled all my appointments. Pre op appointment was at the Austin, Texas location on June 1, 2023. Front desk crew were professional and friendly. Morgan RN greeted me with the most cheery demeanor. She did the interview of my medical history and answered questions I had. Dr Sheridan has a very positive energy. He didn’t make me feel rushed even though I am sure he’s very busy. He spent a lot of time with me and eased my nerves. He was honest with what to expect. I always appreciate honesty. My overall view on Sono Bello is nothing but positive. My procedure is next week and I feel very confident in their ability to make my transformation dreams come true. “From the consultation to my procedure, everyone was great. From Gabriela as my consultant, to Tonya as my nurse, and Dr. Tuner as my surgeon, and the front desk ppl, my experience was flawless. They worked with my schedule since I live far away and answered all of my questions. When I was was missing medications due to the pharmacy, not them, they fixed the problem promptly. Dr. Tuner and Tonya answered all my questions all the way up until it was time to go back for my procedure. I highly recommend Sono Bello Austin. Dr. Turner was my surgeon and I met with him and Sarah for my pre-op. Morgan was my nurse the day of surgery. I'd shared that I had pretty high anxiety and they were very personable, patient, and reassuring. Dr. Turner's jokes didn't hurt. Lol. I won't lie, the actual procedure was not painless, but they did everything possible to make me comfortable. For me after care is where facilities like this can show who they are. They did not disappoint. They were able to connect me to Beau Monde (highly recommend), post-op care service, who took great care of me at home. Most surprising is that barely a day has went by that myself or my caregiver didn't speak to someone from the facility. Even Bailey checked up on me. Dr. Turner provided me with his personal cell and between him and Morgan all of my questions or concerns are promptly answered. It's great to be treated like a person instead of just a transaction. I know I have quite a journey ahead of me and I feel I have the right team to get me through it.”

“This is in the top 5 worst experiences of my life, and if I could give negative stars I would. Terrible experience, from the customer service to the pain and recovery and the staff follow-up. They do not do their due diligence to prepare you. They brag that you can be back to work in a few days. They put you in a small white room and give you a pre-surgery "cocktail." They leave you in that room longer than they should so it has worn off by the time they get you for your procedure. Then, as you are screaming in pain, they give you a stress ball and ask if you have trouble getting numb at the dentist. Then, apologize that they don't have enough local anesthetic. I left in so much pain it was ridiculous, and I've had major surgery before, and it didn't compare to this pain. At my follow-up, they ordered the wrong compression garment, so they had to order me the correct one. After a week, when I didn't receive it, I followed up and found they FORGOT to order it again. The incompetence is rampant. I didn't receive my compression garment until four weeks after my surgery! You are told how important this garment is, yet, I didn't have one for FOUR weeks! My results have been compromised on more than one occasion. The office manager will not return my call. This place is a scam, and they could care less about you after they get your money! Please tell me there is someone to help, as obviously, the office manager will not, and my results are lacking/non existent.

UPDATE: I still have NO results 5 months in. I was contacted by a customer service person who tried to tell me that the doctor was not correct in saying they ran out of local anesthetic. I then asked to speak with with someone else as now she was trying to tell me that she knew better than the doctor and never got a response. They obviously just want your money and do not care about you as a person or your results. I had to spend several more thousand dollars on lymphatic massages for scare tissue damage and to have feeling in the areas they touched. I have spoken to others that have had similar experiences. I urge you to not use this company!”

“Find a different provider. Don’t walk, run in the opposite direction. The staff will bend over backwards to get you to schedule your surgery and spend a huge amount of money, but afterwards it’s like pulling teeth to speak to a real person. Couldn’t reach them on the phone repeatedly with post-op questions and no one ever calls back. Scheduling post-op procedures are a pain and availability is an issue for your “complimentary” services… how convenient. They also changed my appointment time without proper notification so I’m still owed a treatment and of course they’re booked solid. As for the surgery itself, I can’t say that it was worth the money or the recovery.”

“Let me start by saying I went to Sono Bello in Austin, Tx. I was very leery at first, but Bailey was very kind, and helped me thru the start of the process. Now fast forward to 2/21/23, that was my surgery date. Dr Sheridan preformed my surgery, he told me I would feel very little pain, which was true. I was given a cocktail of pills, and that did the trick, because I hate anesthesia, it makes me terribly ill. I have read reviews of pain that was so bad people referred to PTSD type of stuff, well I can only speak for myself but I have a very low pain tolerance, and had I felt anything I would be hear telling you. Jennifer was my nurse and that gave me my pills and IV, and if I could give her a hundred stars I would. I have a real fear of IVs, so many bad experiences, she got me on the first stick and was so gentle, shout out to her, she is the best. I can’t really speak of my results it’s to soon. But, hopefully I will do that sooner rather than later. If you are thinking about doing this, I say as of now it’s a good decision, hopefully my results speak for themselves.”

“This was the most painful experience of my life. I had laser liposuction in my arms, outer and inner thighs, bra roll, and upper and lower stomach. The doctor broke my the amount I wanted done into two surgeries. The first surgery was uncomfortable and painful but tolerable. I was told with the pain medication and local anesthesia that I wouldn’t feel anything. I bought this up to the nurses and doctor prior to my second surgery but I was not given additional medication. The second surgery was so unbelievably painful I sobbed the whole time and the nurse looked so uncomfortable but the doctor didn’t stop. He didn’t even ask if I was ok. I didn’t ask him to stop because I just wanted to be done with it and never have to come back. This was the most awful experience in my life. How unprofessional. They should have known to break it up into multiple surgeries if they could only give me a certain amount of anesthesia and pain medication prior to the surgery. And one of my thighs has a visible line in it and shaped differently than the other one. Also the doctor didn’t even finish the second surgery. He was supposed to do my knees but forgot. I would never recommend this place to anyone.”

“I had Trisculpt done on 3 sites and I feel like I was misled into thinking this would be a low or minimal pain procedure when in reality it was by far the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt. If you scroll through other reviews you will see I am not alone. After the fact I was told that most patients experience minimal pain but there will always be outliers. Even if that is true, potential patients should be made aware that not everyone responds the same way to the drug cocktail provided and this is not a guaranteed low or no pain procedure. I was originally planning to go back for AbEX but am now investigating a tummy tuck instead since there is no way I can bring myself to go through that pain again.”

“Just a few details that lessened my overall experience. I signed up for smart/lazor liposuction September of 2021. I met only the coordinator prior to meeting the surgeon, only 2 days before liposuction was scheduled. He immediately wanted to add more areas, costing me additional thousands of dollars. He remained positive, showing up 45 minutes earlier on surgery day. I was rushed into the procedure without enough time for the oral pain medicines to fully reach my blood system. I specifically remember being in tremendous pain the first 20 mins. I also remember the surgeon and nurse discussing how the next client following me canceled and they were excited to "finish the day sooner". Nearly one full bleaker of fat was removed. I was promised 2 or more.

I never saw the surgeon again afterwards. Post opt... The 3 month before and after photos, were not distinguishable. I did like the following up Venus treatments for which I paid an additional sum of $1,200. Though they were short handed, impossible to contact, and difficult to schedule. The sessions were very short as well, sometimes near 20 or 30 minutes. The surgeon never checked or recognized me again in the hallways. Poor customer service. This place is really only about the money. Oh, and the building was unsanitary. I've visited tattoo shops with a more clinical vibe.”

“So this review is likely to be pretty lengthy but here goes. I had the laser lipo and AbEx procedures done at Sono Bello Austin. Boy was I nervous as all get out. I had my consultation with a very nice woman named Gabriela who informed me of what was to be done and what it would cost. Shortly thereafter, I paid the appropriate cost for the procedure I had chosen. I won't disclose what I paid simply because everyone is different and each person's cost is likely to be different as well. I will say that when all was said and done it was worth every penny I paid. My surgeon was Dr. Sheridan and prior to the surgery I had heard bits and pieces of him being a perfectionist which I didn't mind at all. I had my upper, lower abdomen, and my waist done with laser lipo and I had some skin on my FUPA excised. I am a small framed women and even after 6 children I still managed to keep an attractive figure with a nice toned stomach. I believe my issues started when I went through a phase of weight training. Instead of continuing to lift in order to maintain my results I just stopped. Someone told me a long time ago that if you abruptly stop lifting weights all the muscle you gained will turn to flabby fat. I should have listened. Any how, I exercised and maintained a healthy diet but alas, all the exercise didn't give me the results I wanted so I started to research Sono bello. I so appreciated that I could stay awake for the procedure as I don't trust general anesthesia. Still I was afraid, of the potential pain, of what ever could go wrong, going wrong. You name it I was afraid. Surgery day quickly approached and the moment of truth was upon me. I took my cocktail of drugs and all inhibitions were erased at that point and I was just ready to get it done. My nurse Morgan was so awesome, she made me feel very comfortable and calmed my nerves. The surgeon came in and drew on my body to mark the areas that were to be worked on. I can't remember much about the surgery, there was some pain but nothing that was unbearable I'm pretty sure I slept through the majority of it which was fine with me. Dr. Sheridan was also very nice and welcoming and when I tell he you came and did his job!!! Wow! I'm extremely happy with the results. I'm about 5 weeks post op and I feel great and I look great. Even the soreness I felt for weeks afterwards wasn't the worst pain I've ever felt. I wouldn't do anything differently. I love my results and they still aren't final yet. If you're still on the fence about whether you'll do this procedure or not. You should go for it. I have my confidence back and to me that's the most important thing. Thank you Sono Bello Austin TX”

EDIT to my original post. The nurses and consultants were incredibly sweet, but the procedure itself can only be described as absolute torture. The cocktail of medication did nothing to ease my nerves. I felt everything, even after numbing meds. It took me 2 days to come out of my pill induced stupor to even try to articulate how painful this experience was. I screamed and cried on the table the entire time, and began shaking uncontrollably as my body went into shock. When I told them I could feel everything and I wasn't numb enough, I was given more pills and a washcloth to bite down on, and told it was normal to feel the fibers ripping inside body. This is what I imagine being fileted alive is like. This experience is in my top 3 most traumatic events, and that is next to being deployed to a war zone and bombed every day for 6 months. I can only pray that the results were worth the trauma. I still can't close my eyes without imagining that tube ripping in and out of my skin.”

“This isn’t about the doctor but the whole experience overall. I had my procedure last week.
1. My surgery was a bit rush.long story short after a lot of research. I had time off, so I booked at Sonobello on a Monday and I was to meet the Doctor on Friday, my appointment was changed for Monday without consulting me. After I took time off to go on Monday.
2. I arrived and checked in, filled out the paperwork pre surgery . Sat there for over half an hour, then I got a called from the receptionist asking me if I was coming in for my appointment. I went to the front desk and explained, I had checked in 35 min ago. I finally went in to see te doctor almost 40 min after my arrival.
3 . The nurse and the doctor were nice. The nurse was great at explaining the procedure, the doctor was in a rush.
4. My medication was never called in by the doctor or the nurse. I had to call and ask for the to send my medication to the pharmacy a day before my procedure.
5. I was asked to show up at 11:30 on the day of the procedure. I was asked to undressed, my blood pressure and vitals were taken and the nurse got a catheter in. The I waited for over 2.5 hours in a cold room. The doctor finally came in and apologized. Asked me to wait a bit longer . That’s when I asked to be in a less cold room.
6. After they were done. I was quickly rushed out. I asked the nurse to give me a few minutes because I was not feeling great. I was still rushed out and semiconscious.
Today , I went for my 1 week post opt. I wasn’t looked at by the doctor but a nurse.
I was supposed to meet with the clinical manager today after my appointment .Her receptionist told me that she could see me in 15 min. I left and she called 5 minutes later. I explain how I had felt like a number in a butchery. No real humanity, I was just a number. They wouldn’t even look at my chart for the correct name. She made excuses for every single situation. I understand human error but I can’t understand incompetence from a whole team. I wouldn’t recommend this place, go check a surgeon and people who make your experience enjoyable and treat you like a human, not another number.”

“My Venus appointments are constantly cancelled last minute. My previous appointment was cancelled on me 3 times, each time I received a last minute text message telling me to contact the office to reschedule. This seems simple but no one at the Austin office EVER picks up, and when you ask to have them call you back, they will not, so it takes another 3 days to even get a new appointment scheduled… and they usually are booking out about a month. Its unfortunate the customer service is soooo bad because the nurses and doctors here are lovely if you’re ever able to get an appointment to see them.”

“I had my surgery October 11 of this year. My results are horrible. I have random marks on my body. My abdominal is uneven, around my navel it looks sagging. I don't see a difference in my arms or bra roll area at all. I paid over 9000 dollars for this procedure and I should look amazing.

When I wrote my first review, I got a call back from this facility to talk about what is going on. I tell them what's happening and they made it seem like it's my fault and that I'm lying about my results. So now I have to save up all my money again to get fixed by a 5 star doctor.

If you didn't know this, they put alot of incisions on you, so if you are a black woman be prepare for the scarring. If I knew what I knew now, I would of went to my first choice in Beverly Hills, or just not do the liposuction.

This place is not available 24/7 by the way. Always messing up on my appointments.”

“Inexperienced and underqualified phone staff that takes appointments for them, and their office is never open to taking direct phone calls like they used to when I went for a consultation sometime back in the past few years. I called because I had some medical questions and just wanted to talk to a nurse and it was almost impossible because of their ignorant phone reps answering and taking calls for them! I had to get a manager on the phone to get in touch with the site manager there who told me a nurse would call me but surely NOTHING. If can't have trust like that then these probably aren't the best people to trust with your body!”

“My experience was very much good and would highly recommend. Everyone in the office was always very nice and extremely helpful. Dr.O who did all my procedures was so wonderful and assured me it was all going to be okay. I was extremely nervous and scared about being awake for everything but actually I didn't feel anything and the medication they give you prior to procedure helps and I actually fell asleep while he was doing everything. I would give 5 stars but reason it's 4 is because I was lead to believe recovery would be a few days and I could resume regular activity in a few days. I'm on day 8 and still have a struggle with just light house cleaning. I did share this with my nurses at 1 week follow up and I understand recovery is different for everyone but if you are having the EX done I would recommend to give yourself a good week off from anything and just see how you are afterwards. I'm loving my results, even with the swelling I still have you can see a huge difference. I would do it again but would just plan for more recovery time instead of the 4 days I thought it would be. Keep in mind you do still have to do your part afterwards to keep seeing results. I do follow the diet given by Dr. O and once I'm able to get back to gym I will do so. Best decision I made!!!! Thank you Sonobello for giving me much more confidence in my appearance.”

“I had the Trisculpt EX and Laser Lipo procedure done last week at Sono Bello Austin and it was an all around fantastic experience. The whole staff has been both personable and knowledgeable throughout the whole process thus far. I was more excited than nervous but, when the nerves did kick in, my nurse Amy was there to answer any concerns I had. My physician was Dr. Friedman and he is, in one word, AMAZING! It’s only been a week and, while I’m still swollen, I already can tell that he did a wonderful job. I look like my old self again. Dare I say, even better! I was definitely sore afterwards but managed to return to work after a few days, even with the multiple areas that were done. I even had the excess skin removed from my lower abdomen that has burdened me for over 20 years! The soreness and swelling gets better each day. I am so excited to see my end results! I know I still need to do my part with diet and exercise but, Sono Bello has helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel so much quicker than if I had gone it alone. “I went into Sono Bello feeling apprehensive, but after meeting with Bailey, my fears were alleviated. Bailey walked me through the process, answering any and all questions. She definitely helped me visualize my potential.

Then, at my pre-op appointment I had the pleasure to work with Stephanie and Dr. Turner, whom took the time to thoroughly explained the procedure.

The day of my procedure, Sarah, my nurse worked tirelessly to provide me with an outstanding personal experience by anticipating my needs and questions. She is a true nurturer. She ensured I was well cared for until the end.

A shout out to the wonderful nurse who was able to find my veins and gently insert the IV port. There was not a bruise to be found. You are an angel for the patience. My veins are not easy to work with.

Last but definitely not least was Dr. Turner whose beside manner is superb. He engaged me in conversation throughout the procedure. We spoke about our children and grandchildren, expectations of the procedure, our careers, and so much more.

The day after the procedure, Dr Turner reached out to check on my recuperation. He encouraged me to contact him should I have any concerns.

Five days later I am so encouraged by my results. I already see some changes, and have had a coworker comment on how good I look.

“2021 - My initial consultation with Bailey was so motivating, I can say Bailey and the manager of this location were absolutely why I chose Sono Bello over local competitors - 5 stars for them! Although, I have previously had smart liposuction at another center in Austin, but wanted to try out Sono Bello for my waist and flanks.

I paid my deposit for surgery before meeting my doctor, Doctor O., and if I would have met him prior I would have never chosen Sono Bello. While discussing my desired look during pre-op, the head nurse and doctor recommended I needed to add on more areas - my upper, lower abdomen and upper back, for my desired contoured look. I explained that maybe in the future I would go back, but for this appointment now I wanted to focus on my problem areas. For the rest of the appointment, the doctor and nurse continued to tell me I was making a mistake by not getting all areas recommended and the doctor then went on to make snarky comments about my age/ health/ lifestyle when discussing my medical history before pre-op, so needless to say I had no trust. I even had a call with the manager to cancel my appointment and discuss my concerns. I didn’t care if I lost the surgical fee, I felt I would not be happy with my results as the doctor could care less about what I wanted. She then assured me the recommendations were to provide me with options and that I could reiterate my desired look with the doctor before surgery. As my surgery was the next morning, I decided to continue the process. In the morning, once again when I told the doctor what I wanted, he ignored me and said he knew what he was doing and listed off his years of experience, resume and accolades while marking me up.

I was scared, sad, anxious and ultimately felt defeated. The doctor’s bedside manners were absolutely horrible! For example, at my previous clinic for smart lipo in Austin at the local competitor, I remember my doctor would tell me “alright now, time to flip over” when it came to moving around in the surgery room… Doctor O’s exact words were “any day now…” I remember reading online reviews from former patients of Dr.O, and other clients said they had great results but wished the results didn’t come with an attitude, they were surely right! The doctor seemed tired and angry, flew through the procedure and it seemed like my procedure was a contest of how fast it could be done. The nurse even said following the surgery, wow he’s always so fast - but with my results it seems the faster, the less fat is removed which is not what I asked for.
After one month, all of my concerns were valid as I felt more fat could have been removed. The nurses assured me I was still swollen and should consider Venus treatments, so thousands more dollars later, I’m still not happy with my results because of the initial procedure. Now, I just passed my 3 months and found out only 2 liters were removed during surgery.

My biggest concern is that my experience above is the exact report I submitted internally to Sono Bello after my one week survey, and it did not warrant a follow up or even apology for the doctor’s manners. Instead, when asked about my experience I often heard comments like "wow, I've never heard anyone have an issue with Dr.O, or - it's still early you just have to trust the process."

I will say, the consultants are amazing - although their job is to sell, and the nurses who checked on me as well as the Venus tech’s hospitality are what made me feel less like I was robbed of thousands of dollars at Sono Bello. The “solution” casually recommended by the nurses are to see Dr. O. once again, but after my experience I’ll take that loss of him not correcting my procedure for my mental health. As soon as I am cleared I will go to the local competitor to get the exact same areas done again as I know they hold their doctors to the standard where the priority isn’t to add a procedure to their resume and squeeze in as many appointments as possible, and instead, where they actually value their patients happiness.”

“My surgery was two months ago, and I waited to write this review because I brought all my concerns to the office manager and was giving them a chance to address my issues and since my surgery I have not had any type of follow up from anyone in the office. My consultation was done by someone in the office that’s not a doctor or medical professional. This person made all kinds of promises including; that the procedure was pain free and I would be able to return in about 4 days. I’m upset that I  was rushed to put down a $1,000  deposit to make sure I would get the special for that month, Later to learn that it was not a special and that was the regular cost of this procedure. Their schedules are a nightmare! My appointments were getting rescheduled or I would show up to the office and they would inform me that they had my appointment down for a later time. There was always a lack of communication in the office. Even my surgery date had to be rescheduled because the doctor was going out of town that day. When I went in to meet my doctor, I was shocked at how old he was, and what was even more surprising was that he informed me that I had a lot of damage to my stomach above my belly button, so I may be left with a roll there?! It was not an issue at my consultation. After I was visibly upset, I was asked, what my expectations were? (This was after the doctor left the room even though I was upset and the nurse was trying to somewhat console me). I informed them of the promises they made during my initial consultation. No loose skin! I was provided some pictures of what it may look like after surgery to get a better understanding of what they were referring to.  I felt trapped, since I already placed my deposit and they made it very clear it was non-refundable, unless the doctor wouldn’t find you fit for surgery. I went ahead with the surgery because this was very important to me. The day of surgery, I received a phone call if I could arrive early because the doctor was ahead of schedule. I informed them that unfortunately, I was not able to because of my ride arriving from Austin to pick me up. I arrived on time, at my scheduled surgery date and had to wait over 4 hours in a room alone. Nothing was ever communicated with me on why I was waiting, and no one ever checked on me even after medication was provided to me. When I felt the medication start to kick in, I felt drowsy. I ended up writing a phone number down on a napkin with a marker because no one came into the room, and the phone number was for my family member that was picking me up. Before that though I had asked nurses to take down the number several times. I finally curled up into the only chair they had in that cold room and fell asleep. Right before surgery, I met with the doctor again, and he mentions to me that I possibly be needing lipo in the pubic area. This was my first time hearing about it, even after meeting before the day of the procedure. I was then told it would be an additional $1,200 and he left the room again. I sat there in tears, unsure of what to do next. The office manager came in because I was so upset and told me I may or may not need that procedure, to not worry about that area and just get the surgery I was scheduled for. I was uncomfortable during the whole procedure, nothing like what was described to me, occurred. It felt like my insides were on fire. I asked the doctor if I could be given something for the pain because it was extremely uncomfortable, to which the doctor responded, I asked if you were comfortable, do you want to just stop the whole surgery? I felt embarrassed, his rude and arrogant response was unexpected. I felt vulnerable as I laid there naked on the surgery bed. I told him I wanted to finish and he continued. When I left Sono Bello and traveled some ways away, I noticed that my saline lock had been left in!! We had turn around and return to this awful place to get this device removed! Thereafter, I was told the doctor would”

“This review is long overdue, but wanted to wait a full year to give my full experience. I went in skeptical, I read reviews, and after all, this is a chain of liposuction/plastic surgery centers, could there really be caring professionals there who would treat me right? YES!

First I met Erin, sweet Erin - she is kind and oh so patient as she helped me through the paperwork to prepare for my consultation. Once the paperwork was done I met with Bailey. The best word to describe Bailey is AMAZING. I told her what I wanted, one item was my upper arms - she was honest with me and told me I would not have good results and not to waste my money there. Yes, the sales consultant I just met told me this. Bailey did make suggestions based on what I wanted to do. We came to a decision, and yes, I was a bit sticker shocked, but in reality, for everything I wanted done, it really was/is a good deal - not to mention, if anything isn't to my satisfaction, they would correct it. Sign me up!

Covid hit and appointments and procedures got pushed back, but finally I met with Dr. Okpaku. I liked him instantly. I also asked him about my upper arms, and he too told me no. I'm trying to give these people more money, but they are putting me and my results first. Now about those results...I have had melanoma twice so the laser procedure that is done some point after recovery was not an option for me. I was clearly told I would have some puckering and scaring. I knew what I was in for and yes, I do have some puckering and scaring, but again it was not a surprise and I told Dr. Okpaku, "I just want to look good in my clothes."

Surgery day finally came and it wasn't the most pleasant thing I've ever experienced, but I equate it to childbirth. I know there was pain, but I don't remember it. They keep you comfortable and medicated. The procedures I chose had to be done two weeks apart. Recovery is hard, there is pain, you will wear compression garments. Now I had skin removed so I had some instant results, however, swelling will set in about 4 or 5 days post surgery. It hurts. You will have pain medication and the compression garmets really help. This should not come as a surprise, it is surgery and trauma is being created to your body.

The night of my surgeries, Dr. Okpaku personally called and checked on me. In the days that followed I heard from the nursing staff and Bailey making sure I was going ok.

Every single person I met during my visits at Sono Bello are extraordinary. For being a "chain" this Austin office is a Family.

Given the age of Covid, post op follow up was done mainly by phone, however, I did notice that my left hip seem a tad bit bigger than my right hip. I went in to see Dr. Okpaku at about the 4 month mark and he noted the imbalance, said we had to give it more time, but if it didn't balance out they would fix it.

Over the next few months my body started taking shape, and people started noticing a change. I lost a little weight but this surgery reduces inches, not pounds. However, I have tried eating better and exercising more to maintain my results.

Over the past year, from time to time, Bailey has checked in on me just to see how I am doing, healing, feeling, and how I feel about the results. She didn't need to do any of this; my check had been cashed. Bailey is truly kind and has integrity.

Fast forward to February 2020. I called Bailey and told her my hips were still unbalanced. I had the corrective surgery on March 1st and no I didn't have to pay for it. They are true to their word.

I truly believe if you go in with your eyes wide open, listen to what they say (and not what you want to hear), do what they say, and let the healing play out, you will be satisfied. This isn't an overnight cure and not a cure at all but a very helpful push in the right direction.

“My personal experience with Sono Bello was awesome!! The staff members I've conversed with is overall very welcoming. The front desk staff has always been attentive and professional.

My consultation with Bailey was thorough and she made me feel comfortable. There was absolutely no pressure and I went home to discuss with my husband and friends for their input before making any decisions. Bailey answered my questions, showed me examples and her response time to get back to me was fast.

The pre-op with Dr. O and the nurse was comfortable (thank goodness because it can be an odd situation). Before getting started, Dr. O took the time to get to know a little about me and it was a nice 2 way conversation. Then after discussing what procedures I wanted done, he explained to me what would happen on the day of surgery and what to expect after surgery.

The day of the surgery the nurses made me feel cozy (as much as possible) and they kept my husband informed of my progress and helped me get into the car safely.

It has been 2 weeks thus far and I am pleased with my progress. Since I work remotely, I was able to work 2 days after my surgery. In my personal experience, I was really only down (relaxing) following right after my surgery and the following day. You'll need someone to help you for at least 2 days. After that, I was able to do everything 100% by myself.

I've completed my post-op and the nurse, Chasity, was without a doubt very observant and her personality is so perfect for her job. It was a breath of fresh air starting my day with her. She explained to me my next steps, she made me feel comfortable and even printed out my before and after pics for me at my request.

I know most of you want to know the progress of my actual areas I had the procedures done. I can honestly say that majority of the areas are already noticeable. I still have some swelling, but I was informed my progression will continue over the next several months. I would totally recommend Sono Bello Austin to my family and friends. I am a walking advertisement for them now. :)”

They can only remove so much before it's deemed unsafe but that's not something they tell you. They don't tell you after removing fat you're gonna be left with rumpling skin. “My journey into the unknown. I have had two medical surgery’s in my lifetime that were required. I honestly did not think, ever that I would one day make the choice to do a procedure that was not required. I researched for many years, read hundreds of reviews, and watched hundreds of Men and Women share their experiences and testimonies about Smartlipo. Most of my focus was being drawn to Sono Bello. It is worldwide, well-known and it felt right for me.

I realized that I am truly ready to do this and that I did! I had my initial consultation via phone call with Bailey. My experience with Bailey was exceptional and to be honest sealed the deal for me and I booked my procedure for the next week. Bailey is honest and real she did not try to upsell me or tell me what I need to do or not do. She listened and gave her feedback which was easy for me because it all aligned with what I wanted for me! I did upper/lower abs and waist.

Now it is time for my in-office pre-op consultation with Dr. O! Dr. O is a true professional, with exceptional customer service and a great sense of humor. Dr. O shared realistic expectations pre-op and post-op again, I knew that I was in good hands thus reassuring me that I chose the right place for my procedure.

I am now 2 weeks post-op and I feel much better than I did day 4-8. We must remember that our bodies are different so what may work for someone else may not work for you. I was able to return to remote work in 3 days.

Every Lady that I encountered via phone or in person at Sono Bello-Austin provided me with exceptional service. I know that this is their job. However, none of them act like it is just a job.

They are all passionate about what they do, and it shows❤!

“OMG where do I start? First off leading up to my pre op Bailey was amazing. She talk me through everything about the price etc. Day of pre op appt the front desk lady was so sweet and guided to make sure my paper work for correct. Ok then the nurse who saw me was amazing as well. Again we talked about the areas I wanted done even gave me suggesting. Don’t even get me started with Dr. O. Talk about great bedside manners. What can I say he’s awesome. Ok day of surgery, I was a big ball of nerves. I was soooo scared. I’m horrible with name but the nurse who worked with me was wonderful. They say eat breakfast so I did. Got to the clinic and vomited. She gave me a granola bar to put something back on my stomach. She prepped me for surgery and told me what to expect etc. At this time Dr. Amazing aka Dr. O came in and went over everything again and answered the questions I had. Time to start the show. They made sure I was calm and talk to me until I was knocked out. LOL. After reading reviews some people stay awake and some fall asleep. The pain was very minimal. I went describe it to a bee sting. I could go on and on but I won’t. My experience was fantastic from the very start to finish. If you want to tweek your body a little then Sono Bello is the place for you. I did all that worrying for nothing 😂😂 Oh and the Dr. himself will call to check on you.”

“I had the best experience with Sonobello! They are friendly and will help you every step of the way. Sonobello made me feel comfortable and has given me my college body back! Highly highly recommended! The staff: Amy, Allisea, and Dr. Okpaku are great. I had my sides (love handles) done. First thing you have to remember is that it is a surgery, you will have some pain. The pain is minimal and easy to manage. When the procedure started I could feel slight stinging, like needle pokes, at first. Then it went away after a minute or two. After that, I was comfortable. I was awake the whole time, Dr. Okpaku had me turn from side to side during the surgery. It took about 30 min and he was done. I stood up on my own and felt just fine. Yes, you have medicine head but you can function. You can tell your body went through surgery but you are numb to the pain. I had an hour drive home and did not experience any issues. The next day you are sore and it is uncomfortable to move around but you can do it. I leaked for two days and then it stopped. The compression shirt is not that bad, you get use to it. The worst part is the electric shock (burning) feeling you get when your nerves are healing. It lasts about 6 seconds and goes away. It is uncomfortable but you just had surgery, it gets better. I just had my 3 month checkup and my results keep getting better. I am down 10lbs and I still have 9 months to go. You can't see my love handles through my shirt like before. Its exciting!”

The laser liposuction experience was extremely positive and seamless. It was over by 8am and I had a full work day after it!

After the initial swelling went down I was thrilled to start seeing results. The changes inspired me to continue along my diet and exercise routine. Now it’s been three months and I am getting so many compliments.

“My experience with Sono Bello in Austin was nothing less than amazing!! I'm a single mom who always made sure my family was good and never really did anything for myself. I made a decision to have liposuction done to better my confidence and self esteem. I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr. Turner and his Angels, I like to call them, were wonderful from the beginning of the process to the end. Especially a sweet lady named Bailey. They made me feel so comfortable and safe. “Normally I don’t write reviews, but I feel a need to do so for this place.
I had my consultation with Bailey! She is angel sent! The way she communicates is a skill that can’t be taught. She ensured me that I was a perfect candidate for the procedure and Dr. O did not disappoint me at all. Shortly after I booked the procedure, I started reading reviews on BBB, but those experiences do NOT reflect the treatment, compassion, and talent that is present at the AUSTIN, TX location. Dr. O told me which areas he would treat- he pointed out which areas of fat would still remain (as they were not part of my procedure) and I love that he did that so that I would have a realistic expectation. Anyways, I look beyond better than what I expected. There is a little bit more pain than I expected, but there’s no visible bruises after day 2. However, Dr. O remains available by phone at any time for any questions and/or concerns. I will add pictures later on this week. I already recommended him to my best friend. (I did not go through financing, but they do have partners for financial assistance)”
