“So , please let me make my stars clear, it’s Not for my experience with Dr Bose he is 5 star!!
However, there has been a huge staff change in the last few months. Manager, front desk ,esthetician and nurses. I had to take a break on my Venus treatments. Now that I am back, my appointments were all messed up. I came in today and they didn’t even have an appointment. I stood there and went through all my appointments and told her that these appointments going forward had better stay in place, I drive over an hour to come here. Honestly, she could have cared less. Not professional at all. I am glad , I am on the other side of my surgery. Again , Dr Bose deserves a great team to work with. I hope you will continue looking for the right staff!”

“Buyer beware,

On June 11th I went in for my consultation for Sono Bello. My husband and I met with Billie. As we discussed the procedure options she was not professional nor knowledgeable. She was so quick to get a client my name was not even spelled correctly. This office is located in Tampa Florida. She gave little to no medical advice because she is not a licensed medical professional. She is a sales person working off commission.She was extremely forceful in her sales tactics saying, “how is my daughter going to go to college” if we did not pay the amount full price (in front of my daughter)

After the sales pitch, my husband and I were very reluctant but chose to go ahead with the procedure.

On June 19 2023, I went for the procedure. They put me in the pre-op room. He marked all the spots on my body with sharpie for my liposuction surgery. They administered a couple of oral medications until the surgery room was ready. They took me to the surgery room and laid me on the table. They did not numb my body at all and immediately and proceeded with the surgery. I asked for a local anisthetic, but I was reassured that the major needle had this local anisthetic

I felt every second of pain throughout this surgery. It was torture. After surgery was completed the nurse put the compression on me and wheeled me out a side door.

2nd day post surgery

Called dr. Bose for pain

3rd day:

Dr. Bose informed us this is normal for surgery. It will heal naturally and was not seeing any issues

1 week:

Immense pain. Dr. Bose checked pain area. Asked for me to get tummy tuck for $6,700+.

5th week
1st message. Did not help. Too late. Messages were supposed to be done immediately

After 5th week:

Pain was getting worse. Right side was not symmetrical. Doctor Bose explained that liposuction is not for loosing weight. Immediately after went to Emergency room where Seroma was diagnosed.

After called office. Dr. Bose was in Italy on vacation. Met with nurses but was not comfortable with meeting with other surgeon not familiar with the surgery done herself.

Could not wait due to missing work and pain. My children had to suffer as well to see their mother in pain.

When Dr. Bose came back from Italy we went for the appointment where he saw the results from the ER. He notified me that the area must be drained. After the first drainage the GM of Sono Bello Tampa informed us we must take off the review of Sono Bello. She was more worried about the review than helping her clients.

After 8+ drainings in a month and a half, my body was beyond damaged and suffering. My sling was inflamed, discolored. And disfigured. The doctor said this was normal.

I went for one last consultation with the doctor. He recommended a CT scan through a doctor he knew. Unfortunately this past weekend I ended up in the ER for this problem and begged them for a CT scan. They said because I was in the ER in the last 2-3 months that the risk of radiation would be high and they didn’t want to preform this procedure. Seroma causes an increased risked for radiation poisoning.

After I called the doctor. I told him that the ER refused to do the CT. Dr. Bose was very upset that I did not go to the place he recommended because they wouldn’t have cared. They would have still done the CT. “I didn’t want you to go to the hospital because they would refuse you, that why I recommended this place to you”. I said you don’t care for my health even though the emergency doctor was concerned for my health. He said, “you tell me what to do, I don’t know what’s in your stomach”

I hung up the phone and am seeking help from other doctors.”

“All I can say is please do your research before you go through any Lipo suction procedure here! I would not have this procedure done again. I did not know that a complication to outer thigh Lipo could be too much fat being removed, and now I have indentations on my outer thighs. I was told by the doctor that they could do a revision, but I will not be going through any more surgeries at this place. They do not issue refunds either! They also tried to blame me and say I gained weight and one person said I had indentations on my legs before! People don’t just have indentations and weight gain (which I’m sure everyone experiences after surgery bc you are immobile for awhile) doesn’t cause this! What causes this is too much fat being removed. The only reason I’m not sharing any of their names is because I’m just ready to move on from this! So again, all I can do now is share that for anyone interested in getting outer thigh smart liposuction, please know the complications before hand and do your research! I pray that anyone else that has this procedure does not go through what I did!”

“I am regretting the surgery big time, after spending twelve thousand three hundred twenty four dollars
($$12,324.00!!) and going through all of this pain and discomfort, on my six month appointment, the doctor only spent 5 minutes seeing me and all she did was try to rush things and convince me that the issues I have been concerned about are normal. The remaining areas of fat they missed, and my belly being as hard as a rock. She said it is normal and never explained why in a professional way, so I was frightened from the lack of information she was giving me. I showed her my tummy area sticking out and the hardness to ask her if I was going to be like this for the rest of my life, to which she responded yes. She kept showing me the before pictures of my body, as if to say that I had to accept the negative results no matter what.
I know I had so much fat and had a very ugly belly before, this is why I saved the money for years and went ahead with the surgery. I was just expecting results I would be happy with.

Will I have to go through liposuction again? I do not mind as long as the issues are resolved. I need to know if and how my issues can be resolved, or if my concerns are going to be ignored.”

Right from the initial consultation, it became clear that Sonobello's primary objective was to convince me to pay, rather than understanding my personal goals. The consultant seemed more interested in discussing pricing packages and payment options than inquiring about my expectations or concerns. It felt like I was just another transaction to them, rather than a valued individual seeking their expertise.

Furthermore, the constant pressure to pay and commit immediately was incredibly off-putting. I expected a more caring and compassionate approach from a company that claims to specialize in personal transformations. Instead, I was bombarded with sales tactics, discount deadlines, all aimed at coercing me into making a financial commitment.

My comfort and peace of mind during the process were completely overshadowed by their relentless pursuit of my money. It felt like they had no regard for my emotional well-being or the importance of building trust and rapport with their clients. I found the entire experience to be extremely impersonal and transactional.

Sonobello's focus on monetary gain rather than genuinely understanding and addressing my personal goals left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer. The lack of genuine care and their aggressive approach have ultimately made me reconsider my decision to trust them with such an important aspect of my life.”

“I had lipo along with cutting my lower abdomen off (the fat and skin - kangaroo pouch removed)
I wouldn’t recommend Sonobello to anyone. First, they offer barely any type of pain control OR sedation during the procedure. Before the procedure I was told by the person selling me these procedures that I would be under anesthesia. Wrong. They gave me a 1 mg Xanax and a low dose of Percocet right before the surgery. I literally take 1.5 mg Xanax for my anxiety already and a MUCH stronger pain medication for my fibromyalgia and back problems and they knew this based off my patient history paperwork I filled out. So imagine my worry as I waited in the pre op room waiting for the Xanax and Percocet to kick in…. Didn’t do anything for me. Then undergoing liposuction AND cutting off the skin on my stomach was torture. Especially when the dr didn’t numb all of the skin on my lower abdomen and during the procedure I scream in pain and tell her I can feel the knife and her reaction was “I’m sorry but there’s nothing I can do at this point but continue. I will be quick…..” seriously. Then after the process I was quickly escorted to a different room in a wheelchair to wait to be picked up while they clean the room I was in for the next patient. I felt as though I was on a conveyor belt. After the surgery I was told I could remove the corset - type wrap that they put me in less than a week after the surgery. Because it was so uncomfortable I had called a few days after and asked if I could remove it and they said yes. I don’t think this was right because I have friends whom did this surgery elsewhere and they were told to wear that post surgery garment way longer. At my 6 month post op surgery appointment I expressed how unhappy I was with the way my stomach looked. My stomach was lumpy, not even at all. There is a permanent line going from my belly button to below that area causing it to look like a butt. It looks horrible. The surgeon said to me there’s nothing she can do about it. So here I am, $11,000.00 later and unhappy about how I look STILL and out that money and time that I spent recovering from such a terrible surgery. Also the recovery process is awful. Absolutely painful, uncomfortable, and it took me weeks until I could walk on my own again. All for nothing. I had my surgery done in January of 2022. It is now the end of October 2022. I waited as long as possible to post a review on this journey but nothing is getting better. Thanks Sonobello.”

“I decided to go to Sono Bello because I was turning 65years old and wanted to be the best I could be. I have always struggled with dieting losing and gaining weight. Then I felt if I have 20 years left I want to be able to move and enjoy myself. I knew I needed help. Then I met Dr. Bose. He is amazing! I told him what I was thinking and he listened!! He told me that I had loose skin (I did not realize that) and that for me to get the best results he would recommend the Ab Ex procedure. He also said he would divide the remaining areas into 2 surgeries in order to maximize my results. I am so thrilled with the results the AbEx is the best thing I have EVER done! No more muffin top and I was told I practically have a six pack!
During the procedure they would ask how I was doing , I have to tell you all I could think of was he is taking away fat, In my mind I was telling him to "Take more fat dont stop, keep going!!!" .
I was so thankful that I was getting help I did not register anything but he is helping me!! I just had my second surgery and I am looking forward to the last one. I cant wait to see the final results. I normally would not tell anyone I have done this but I honestly feel people need to know about Dr. Bose. He is one of a kind. A truly gifted surgeon who listens to the patient and then recommends the best treatment for you.

Because this is something you can die from. They are refusing to give her a refund. She wasn’t told she can and will have this much complications. If She doesn’t go to the surgery. They should still be required to give your money back. The Procedure was not done. And if they don’t want to give your money back that makes them a scammer. This company should not just be Sued. They should be charged with Grand theft. Company that want to take your money and lie to you to get your money. Needs to be closed down. This is unethical practice.”

The procedure itself was more painful than I was expecting. I also was expecting to be able to work 5 days after my procedure which in my experience was impossible. My suggestion is to have at least 2 weeks to recover if you're having the skin removal, this recovery has been harder than I thought it would be. Just had my 1 week post op apt and I'm healing well and on track. I know at the end of all the discomfort and pain I will be thrilled with my results, I already am happy but it will just get better!

“I was worried about doing multiple areas at once, especially because it was basically my whole mid section. The staff was great and put me at ease right away. Dr. Bose was really nice, to the point and pointed out what he thought was best as well as asking what bothered me the most. Imagine that, a doctors asking me what I'd like or don't like. The only negative was the time frame foe healing. I was told that I'd be up and able to work the next day or the following day. It was 5 days and I still barely made it through my first day back. My advice, if you do, inner thighs, waist, stomach and "banana roll", at once, you'll need more time off. Getting up and sitting down are super hard. Overall, my experience was excellent. I'd recommend anyone to Sonobello who needs a little something or a lot of something. I'm not even close to being healed yet but I already see an amazing difference. You won't regret it.”

“I feel like I wasted $12,000. I am 5 months post op and very unhappy with my results. For the cost of surgery I feel I should have better results. I have worn this compression garment, and even purchased smaller sized garments since being told it takes 6 months to see final results. I feel that either I should get a portion of my money back or they need to fix what they advertise because I am not seeing the results. This is very misleading. They show pictures of clients but I am not seeing these types of results. I have not went down any sizes. I am very swollen still at 5 months post op. “My first experience while painful went great! I saw immediate results and it helped me lose the extra 15lbs I was trying to get rid of.

The 2nd time right before I went under I was told that it will hurt worse this time because of all the scar tissue and I was like what? Plus the new surgeon decided to make my 2nd a two parter. I was in so much pain and unfortunately I’m one of those people that can’t take hydrocodone because it doesn’t do anything. Of course I still was prescribed hydrocodone and the doctor just told me to double my dose and it’ll work better?! What more hydrocodone doesn’t make my body chemistry change to all of a sudden to metabolize hydrocodone for it to work.

I now have some weird outlines in my stomach where fat patches are and my under bra fat rolls didn’t change really at all. And I’ve done over 6 Venus treatments.

I’m very disappointed in this. I would never of paid for another round if 1 it was going to hurt more and 2 that it didn’t change my weight, the size of my clothes and made myself image worse.”

“I have been researching different cosmetic surgery options for about a year. I finally settled on sono bello since it was the least invasive. I initially did a consult with Dr. Jiles who has been with this office for about 6 months. Every great review I've found with this location was about Dr. BOSE so I was a little bummed. I elected to have my upper and lower abs, waist, abex, inner and outer thighs. Dr Jiles suggested she could remove the fat all in one visit which I found odd since I had a pretty high BMI. She didnt touch me. I ended up getting Dr. BOSE which was such a godsend. He didn't hold back in touching my jelly belly and suggested we spit my surgery which was a relief. I went into my procedure with him with high hopes based on everything I read about him. That usually leads to disappointment. He far exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier. I see why he has the reviews he has. He put up with me being a giant baby while he was numbing me. He let me talk and ramble on during the surgery since I was nervous and out of it from the meds. He was so funny and calming. He's everything you hope your doctor will be. He took 4 liters of fat from my belly alone which is what I expected. I have to go back for my thighs. I feel like I actually got my money's worth with him as my doctor. He's worth a 5 star review and raring. If I ever get more work done in life I will go to him. I will recommend him to anyone I know. I'm in love with my results and it gets better everyday.”

I was convince I made a good decision after we talked about the procedure. The entire front desk staff is amazing and are all quick to smile and that made me feel very relaxed.
My nurse Denysha, made the start of the surgery day easy. She explained everything that I needed to know and put me in a relaxed mood for the procedure. Otista and Lucia gave me a laugh and put a quick smile on my face with there attention to detail and quick wit.. Jazmine and Samantha made the procedure seem easy and with reassuring eye contact and smiles through the masks, I felt like everything would be OK...it was more than OK. The prep work to
Dr. Bose was amazing. He let me know in very simple terms what to expect. Then as my questions became more detailed he fielded all of them with ease and offered explanations to the level of detail that I needed. His 'bedside manner' should be used as a 'How-to' for any doctor. He's an artist as well as a doctor, or at least it seemed that way as he marked the areas for the procedure. Truly interesting to watch that process.
The Venus treatment with Justin was very interesting and helpful. The results from it were impressive and I had no idea it could be so effective. Justin is a master conversationalist and the time flew by.

After first week check up. I were able to return back to work the next week. 10 days still a little sore. But able to continue to work on. “Wow!! I am almost three weeks post op Trisculpt with Ex. I had upper, lower abdominal, waist, lower bra roll with Dr. Bose. I am blown away from the results already. I still have a long way to go as far as healing and swelling but I have gone from a size XL/L to a comfortable medium!! Dr. Bose and his team were AMAZING! I felt so comfortable and taken care of before, during, and after my procedure. The numbing of the procedure is moderately painful but it is over quick and Dr. Bose talked me through it. The procedure itself you feel the pressure but no pain. Dr. Bose talked to me and cheered me on through the whole procedure. I definitely see the benefits of an awake procedure as I was able to position my body the way he needed me to in order to get the best results. I give myself a manual lymphatic drainage massage every night. If I feel any hard spots I gently massage them out. This isn’t just surgery and done you have to be invested in doing your part after your procedure. Continue with healthy diet drink lots of water and walk. “I’m 3 months after the procedure and still healing. I really liked the nurses and the doctor, there was only 2 things that I need to point out : my pre-op consultation and the level of discomfort during the procedure. Pre-op consultation was more like sales/business meeting. As soon as the consultant realized that I wasn’t going to pay full price on that day, she got up and held the door like she was suggesting for me to leave. Also she gave me some irrelevant info (e.g. the period of time that the garment needed to be worn). I decided to have the surgery anyways because I saw some excellent results and wanted to experience the same. Level
Of discomfort during the surgery was a little too high because I’m really used to painkillers . I suffer from migraines and I guess I just needed more medication than an average patient. I felt most of the lipo movements that the dr performed underneath my skin. Thank God I didn’t feel the EX (skin removal) at the end. Overall I’m happy with the results so far, my body looks better and I feel better. It’s hard work on my own too though. The procedure itself it’s just a start. I feel like without exercises and diet I wouldn’t see the results for too long. But the money I paid for the surgery additionally motivates me to stick to the new habits.”

“I had went in for a consultation in early March. I was sold on the procedure and put down a $3000 deposit. After talking to friends and family who had gotten similar procedures, I felt uneasy about not going completely under with anesthesia since I had never had surgery of any kind. That with negative reviews and changing my diet, I decided to cancel my procedure and just give my lifestyle change another try. I called first week of April and immediately got the run-around about getting a refund for my deposit. I even called corporate because I didn’t believe what they were telling me. I got a call from Jahiara( I apologize I know I spelt her name wrong) and she said I’d be issued a refund check within 2-3 weeks. I didn’t receive it by then, to call back. Of course 3 weeks went by and nothing so I called back. She said she would look into it and give me a call. I never received a call so I called her and she said a check was being sent to me via USPS. I got the check on May 5th and deposited into my bank account. Business as usual. It was immediately flagged for further authentication purposes which I found odd. I also found it odd that the check wasn’t mailed from Sono Bello but a computer company or something. So yesterday I got a notice that it was indeed counterfeit so I went into the Wells Fargo branch to ask more question because I had told the banker that this was supposedly a reputable company with multiple locations across the US. He called in for me to get more details and it is indeed a counterfeit check and my account it now frozen. If I could give a negative star I would. I’m not sure why this happened but a company such as this writing out counterfeit refund checks is inexcusable. It was a sacrifice on my part to save up money and I am glad I never made another payment because who knows how much money I would have lost. I will be reporting them to the BBB and even opening a claim against them. Do not go here!

“Update: I was finally refunded the money I was due. But not by Yahaira. It was corrected by Susan, the patient care experience specialist. It took a lot of pushing but it is now taken care of. Also, I was seen for my post op appt at about 6 weeks and I pointed out some areas of my incision that were not closed yet. The doctor came in and reassured me that this was okay and to give it more time. I am now about 9 weeks out and everything is healed and closed up. I have some areas that may need revision but I have been told that this is done at one year post op. Here's hoping it's just swelling! Can say though that I am pleased with the care and the outcome in general.

I want to give this place 5 stars. The girls at the desk, Billy the consultant, the nurses throughout, and Dr Moffitt were great. Friendly, caring, understanding, and best of all competent at their jobs. But one of the areas I was supposed to have done was removed from my treatment plan by the doctor and the business office refuses to accurately refund my care credit account. Yahaira is trying hard to convince me that what she is doing isn't shady but knowledge of basic math principles proves she is being dishonest. The difference is about $150 so I guess I will take the loss because they already have my money so what else can I do. But I want to advise you to be careful about dealing with them and the finances. I was asked to pay in full for procedures that the doctor had not approved, and I was assured that I would be appropriately refunded if the doctor removed any of the planned procedures. However that is now not the case. Be aware of your money when giving it to this office. Sad that it comes to this. The care I received has been great so far outside of this.”

My nightmare experience at Sono Bello Tampa and Dr Bose.

I am not happy with my results at all and have been scarred for life both physically and mentally. I went in for a consultation and the finance lady talked me into having the surgery 3 days later. I felt completely rushed. She said if I didn't do the procedures (EX+liposuction) within 3 days she wouldn't be able to give me a significant discount. What a mistake. The procedure did not produce the expected results so 7 months later I had to redo it. I believe the doctor might have been unhappy that he had to redo the procedure because, he did not numb my skin before he inserted the needle to deliver the anesthesia and he put me through excruciating pain that I will never forget. Since I had already gone through the surgery one time already, I knew the procedure and how it was "supposed" to go AND FEEL. This was NOTHING like the first time. It has been over 6 weeks since I had the second procedure to fix the first procedure. I still have pain inside where he repeatedly and painfully jabbed me to administer anesthesia. I kept telling him that it was hurting and he totally ignored me and told me just hang in there...it's almost over. Afterwards he left the room for the anesthesia to take effect making me wait over an hour. I kept thinking of what just transpired and asked myself "was he so irritated about having to "re-do" the job for free that he wasn't giving me the appropriate care or medicine?" It felt like he was purposely trying to cause me pain and I became very afraid. I shared my concerns with him the next day and he was not too happy about me questioning his work or motives. The procedure cost me $8,000 and I regret using Sono Bello. If I had the choice of doing it again, I would go to a private doctor because the "ONE TIME ONLY DISCOUNT" and "PAINFULLY POOR RESULTS" by this "doctor" we're not worth the experience, distorted body, constant pain and emotional/physical scars. Beware if you're gullible because the "salesperson" is good at closing with promises of a beautiful body at a wonderful price by a qualified physician because my experience with Sono Bello has been anything but that. It left me totally afraid of any medical procedure. I'm in constant pain and my "beauty" procedure has left an "ugly" scar on my body and soul. I did it twice and it's still not right. I should have gone to a private doctor and had a tummy tuck. It would have been one time and done correctly. So my advice to you guys is be aware, do your research and don't let them talk you into anything until you are completely ready. Would I recommend Sono Bello to anyone? Absolutely not.

“I was thrilled with Dr Mendoza! I had to reschedule my original surgery date because I woke up with a migraine the morning of my surgery. The next week Dr Mendoza was filling in and as soon as I bet him I knew we would work well together. He explained everything to the tee. His nurse, Denysha, was the Bomb! I felt so comfortable with her because of how knowledge she was and her chill attitude out me at easy. Poor thing had to dress me after surgery while I was feeling very relaxed from the drugs.

I was awake for most of the procedure but don’t remember too much. I had a few moments of discomfort while getting me numb and during the procedure. I didn’t say anything and I knew it was just for a moment.

The 3rd day after surgery was the worse amount of pain I had. Just felt really sore. After that day it was a breeze.

Let me back up, first time I came to the Tampa location I was greeted by a cheerful bubbly staff member called Raven. She might not have ever remembered my name after being here 10 plus visits but she was always sweet. She always put me at ease with her knowledge of knowing what she was doing.

I met Billie my consultant and she was just a sales woman. She probably great for the position but talking about your health and insecurities seems to require a bit sincerity. Which I think she lacked. As for her job, she explained things well and no financial surprises. Just felt like she was selling me a procedure even though I already knew I wanted it.

Overall, I’ve been very happy with my experience and would highly recommend this for your procedure.”

“I had went in for a consultation in early March. I was sold on the procedure and put down a $3000 deposit. After talking to friends and family who had gotten similar procedures, I felt uneasy about not going completely under with anesthesia since I had never had surgery of any kind. That with negative reviews and changing my diet, I decided to cancel my procedure and just give my lifestyle change another try. I called first week of April and immediately got the run-around about getting a refund for my deposit. I even called corporate because I didn’t believe what they were telling me. I got a call from Jahiara( I apologize I know I spelt her name wrong) and she said I’d be issued a refund check within 2-3 weeks. If I didn’t receive it by then, to call back. Of course 3 weeks went by and nothing so I called back. She said she would look into it and give me a call. I never received a call so I called her and she said a check was being sent to me via USPS. I got the check on May 5th and deposited into my bank account. Business as usual. It was immediately flagged for further authentication purposes which I found odd. I also found it odd that the check wasn’t mailed from Sono Bello but a computer company or something. So yesterday I got a notice that it was indeed counterfeit so I went into the Wells Fargo branch to ask more question because I had told the banker that this was supposedly a reputable company with multiple locations across the US. He called in for me to get more details and it is indeed a counterfeit check and my account it now frozen. If I could give a negative star I would. I’m not sure why this happened but a company such as this writing out counterfeit refund checks is inexcusable. It was a sacrifice on my part to save up money and I am glad I never made another payment because who knows how much money I would have lost. I will be reporting them to the BBB and even opening a claim against them. Do not go here!”

“I wouldn't give them any money! You don't get to talk to the physician until 5 days prior to surgery and by that time it is too late to get a refund if you decide the physician is not right for you. I paid a $1000 deposit and later canceled according to the terms of the contract due to personal reasons. I have sent emails and made phone calls and no one will get back with me. I was told refunds are processed on the 1st of the month. It is now the 6th and I still can't get an answer or even a return email. “Going to Sonobello in Tampa was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. I initially went to my consult just to hear what it was about. I almost cancelled my consult thinking there was no way that I was going to be able to afford to do it and I was scared of the thought of doing it. I had my consult with Billie and I spoke to her about the things that bothered me about my body and about my fears and concerns and she set my mind at ease. She also spoke to me about different payment options, so I really had no excuse but to finally do something for myself. Dr. Moffit performed my procedure and she was amazing, she even followed up wirh me the next day
I'm very pleased with my results and I had no complications. I was back ay work 2 days later. I purchased some additional Venus Services with Monica who is absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about the procedure. We have fun talking and laughing during my procedure. Raven at the front desk is awesome, everytime I see her I'm greeted with a big beautiful smile. Everyone at the Tampa office is great! Going to Sonobello and getting my procedure gave me back the body that I wanted and my confidence. If your thinking about it, do it. Invest in yourself, you will be glad you did.”
