This Week is National Random Acts of Kindness Week
Happy National Random Acts of Kindness Week! Smile at a stranger, pay for coffee for the person behind you in line, or make an anonymous donation to charity.
During this loving week, we would also like to remind you of the importance of being kind to yourself. It’s important to practice self-care and be kind to your body and soul. When you’re in a good place you’ll be more likely to spread the joy to those around you!
Here are some easy things you can do to show yourself some kindness this week:
Take a Long Walk
A walk can be good for both your body and mind. Put on your favorite playlist and tune out the world, or pick a scenic route and drink in your surroundings.
Eat a Healthy Snack
If you go too long without a snack your blood sugar can dip and cause mood swings. (Hanger is real!) Make some time for a healthy snack to keep your mood up and your body working in top condition.
Exercise
Exercise can boost your endorphins and make you feel happy and accomplished. Carve out some time in your day for your favorite physical activity. Don’t worry about setting a PR or pushing yourself to the max, just enjoy moving your body and feeling strong!
Go to Bed Early
Put aside your long list of to-dos a little earlier than usual and tuck yourself into bed with a good book. Put on your comfiest pajamas and light a nice scented candle (just make sure to blow it out before you fall asleep!)
Make a List of Accomplishments
Give yourself some credit! Sit down and write out five things you are proud of accomplishing. This can be a list of big accomplishments, or small things you are proud of getting done recently. Remind yourself of how great you’re doing, even if you may feel overwhelmed sometimes.
