“I have recently had a tri-sculpt procedure at Sono Bello and I have to say that the staff is fantastic. They are extremely flexible and willing to address all of your concerns. I went in thinking that I would do the ABEX procedure and after talking to the first person I realized that I had other, less drastic options to improve my appearance. I was back at work in less than a week! The follow up staff has also been great. Victoria sent me her personal email, so that I dont have to leave a phone message for some random person to get back to me with any questions that I may have. Best of all, I can see a difference already in the shape of my body and it's only been 10 days!!”

“This has been an impulsive journey that has had its ups and downs; however, it’s individuals such as my post op nurse Kaila, front desk assistant Bre and numerous friendly faces that is making this experience worth while. I truly feel taken care of. My surgeon M.D. Williams Epps made sure that I felt heard and reassured while listening patiently then responding to all my questions and concerns. Kaila went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed at my one week appointment and made me feel that all my questions were great ones (even though I know they were not ALL good questions lol) She seemed to understand that one’s mental and emotional health is equally important as attending to a patients physical health. Bre allows me to call and speak with her like a friend. I’m positive she deals with many personalities, many undesirable especially when in pain or just annoying lol but with her, I never feel a bother. Needless to say, these 3 employees get a 5 star from me. Thank you guys. Your support has been invaluable!!”

“I had an exceptional experience @my appointment on Monday September 18th with Jonte. She was very knowledgeable and did not hesitate on any concerns that I had. She is the first nurse that I’ve had since my surgery in March that took the time to explain in details. She also advised me that I had 3 Venus treatments to use that I totally had forgotten about because I have some loose
skin after the surgery. Jonte has a great personality, very nice and kind hearted.

“I would give one star if I could.. I spoke with PETER. After answering a few questions that PETER had for me. I was told by him, due to me being 330 pounds my BMI is to high to be a patient of Sonobello. That I had to get to 305 and then call back. I said if I get to 305 I won´t need Sonobello. I AM IN DISBELIEF!! My anxiety has kicked in. I now feel even worse than I did before. I was so determine to get help. He was not sincere at all how he said it.”

They don’t need to call this procedure Laser Lipo, they need to call it The Magic Wand Lipo! Dr. Onyewu did an absolutely work of art on my arms, upper/lower abs, and waist. He is truly a master at his craft.
I am a week and 3 days post op and I am doing many techniques to assist in the speed of my recovery while also assisting with the comfort of my body transitioning. This is not a comfortable procedure nor was I expecting it be and I am able to tolerate a high level of discomfort. I have had 3 children, 2 was natural while I labored at home until my water broke both times. So I am not a normal/average human lol.
Some techniques they recommend I feel are going to be great for later on in my recovery like a month out.These 3 specific techniques I feel like are a life saver for me during these first days/weeks of recovery because anything else I know my skin wouldn’t be able to tolerate yet.
Brushing my skin has been such a life saver, as well as water treatment/therapy utilizing the water in the shower to loosen the lumps and bumps and swelling. My favorite is massaging my skin in the areas I had sculpted with oil! The instant relief from this combination in this specific order has been a life saver for me.
But Brushing is something I do consistently throughout the day, it improves a lot of the nerve sensation and sensitivity I am experiencing. I do this for sometimes 1hr to 2hrs.
Sono Bello was my final choice after doing lots of consultations in the DMV/Baltimore area. I felt as if I was clearly understood about my results while also receiving great suggestions and recommendations as to how I can achieve that. This to me was the best part of my experience. My body is my temple and I value the transparency and honesty and integrity of this specific Hanover Location.”

“Let me start off by saying that I'm not a Sonobello Ambassador. I just want to share my experience 2 days after having TriSculpt (tummy & waist on 6/29/23). The entire procedure was 2.5 hours from signing in to being wheeled out.
-Consult & preop
(1) Jennifer was my consultant. She was cool w/ her attenpts at slight banter. She ended up saving me $3k....cha-ching
(2) I was very apprehensive b/c I'm petrified of needles (can't even look at'em). Jennifer recommended Dr.. Epps
(3) Deanna(?) that works w/ Dr. Epps was amazing & made the butterflies dissipate
- Day of Surgery:
1. My nurse (Kim) was amazing as well, especially when she started my IV
2. Dr. Epps is pretty no-nonsense, which didn't bother me at all...got me in & and got me out
3. That marker he used to draw on me was a bit rough, felt like beard stubble against my soft skin....ouch
4 I believe he put on the music I asked for, but I had my own music playing in my headphones as well, but after I took my "happy pills" it didn't matter anyhow
5. He removed 2.5 liters of fat...yellow & yucky 🤮
Here are my takeaways after my procedure on 6/29/23:
- Things definitely to have on hand
(1) Prescriptions. I had 3, but couldn't take the Tramadol for pain & really didn't need it. Just had mild discomfort so I flushed those & took 600mg Motrin instead
(2) Shower curtain liner & dark towel. I highly recommend sleeping on both (towel ontop of liner) for drainage & until you can get out of bed w/ out help
(3) Disinfectant wipes. I had serious drainage that leaked on the floor & toilet when changing the pads' for dressings
(4) Flushable wipes. No explanation needed
(5) Adult diapers vs pads. My stage 1 garment's seat wasn't aligned to my "girly part" when using the bathroom. With that being said I ended up wearing undies over top of my garment, but hopefully you won't have that issue.
-Day after procedure:
1. Shower. Lather the badges w/ the antibacterial soap to help remove gauze & tape
2. Wash & wear your stage 1 garment regularly
3. Avoid picking up anything off the floor until your discomfort subsides, leave it unless you've fallen & can't get up. Ask for help....codependent vs independent
4. Take your meds
5. Use the Arnicare cream everytime U go to the bathroom
-My results (So far, I'm VERY Pleased)
1. Numbness & waist discomfort...to be expected
2. I've been able to tighten my garment hooks
3. Having a chauffeur, but will start driviing myself (7/3/23)

I too have experienced rudeness from Brittany at the front desk. During my consultation, I was told by Jenny that if I actually went through with the surgery that myself and the person who referred would each receive a $350 gift card. The paperwork was completed on the spot during consultation. Since then. Jenny has not returned my calls. Even on the day I came to pickup my faja I was brushed off by Brittany who supposedly spoke with Jenny and was informed to tell me that Jenny was busy.
RESULTS
As for my results, I called twice e and informed, you gues who? Yup, Brittany that I was having an issue with my back rolls as they are still showing. Of course, I was informed during calls that someone would get back to me regarding my results. Fast forward I am here now at my 3 month following up just getting ready, since a week post op, to discuss my results. I will update you guys once I am done.”

“4 weeks post op (Abex) here! The front desk personnel is rude. They definitely don’t like to help people except for the day you’re paying. My procedure was pretty much painless. A little discomfort at the end when Dr. Epps was closing my incision. In my first post op appointment I communicated that I still have excess skin specially in my left side. The nurse told me it was the swelling. As today, I still very unhappy with my results. This procedure don’t worth $7,400 ( only skin removal/ no lipo) I feel scammed. I regret every penny I spent on this place.
Update: I’m now 9 weeks post Abex (no lipo). I still have some swelling, but I still can see some extra skin, specially in my left side and still not happy with my results. About the front desk personnel, in my last visit I was treated with respect at least.”

So far my experience with Sonobello has been nothing but amazing! Yaneek was absolutely amazing in making me feel comfortable there. You guys definitely need not ever let her go!! She even came to check on me...I can't remember my nurses name I was completely out of it. But she was amazing as well... she took very good care of me no doubt ams as soo. As soon as I remember her name I will edit this.... now last but not least Dr O... omg I couldn't ask for a better surgeon. He did everything in his power to make me feel welcomed amd like he truly cared. I will definitely be returning to him . Had an amazing experience .

“I had my original procedure in July last year Abex Upper and lower abs waist and they were supposed to do the bra role too. They hit the limit for maryland regulations and could not do the bra role. I went yesterday for the bra role and since I was there they did a revision of areas that got missed. I was extremely anxious because of the incredible pain I had after the first procedure. Gotta say definitely not as much pain as the first one. Only thing I can advise for a revision is don’t be the last patient of the day. They didn’t allow the pre procedure meds to really take effect and I sure did feel the procedure way more than the first one in July. The staff there was great especially Julie my nurse. Dr. Epps was great as well. He has a great bedside manner and joked around with me which helped ease my anxiety. Thank you to everyone in the Hanover/Baltimore Maryland office. ”

Honestly, when it comes to procedures of the bod (a very serious and vulnerable subject) Sono Bello should really train their staff in Hanover to be more attentive, caring, and less dismissive. Why would I have my procedure done with a company in which the staff member I meet for my consultation has an angry demeanor, stares at me blankly, and acts as if she wants me to leave her office? No thank you. I was literally there for 5 minutes and left.

“My wife and I both had the procedure done. After working out consistently for over a year. Many parts of our body looked good but the stubborn fat areas just would not go away. We had been hearing commercials on radio and I decided to get us appointments to see have the procedure explained. We are now about 4-6 months along after surgery. My wife went first and then about a month later I had my surgery done. I do suggest if both are doing it, not to have done at the same time. The recuperation period for at least the first two it intense so we needed each other to help with getting dressed and undressed. Overall, great experience and we are both very please with the results.”

“I didn’t have a wonderful experience at the Glen Bernie location. I have cried and been regretful since I had my procedure done. The person who facilitated my consultation told me the price would be $8,000 but when I went in for the pre-op meeting with the doctor, she said I needed a different procedure that cost more, $10,990. I agree and paid the balance. The following week, I went in for my scheduled procedure. I was dressed the hospital gown ready to go into the surgery room when the sales person came in and said there was a misunderstanding, what I wanted done would cost more. I was so upset I was in tears
! I felt so vulnerable, taken advantage of and angry that I had invested so much time and effort (took time off from work) in to this. I felt the sales person was an opportunist. I had prepared myself for surgery, but now we are talking about money, again and I’m undressed! I told them I didn’t want to go forth with the surgery, that I wanted a refund. I was told that over $2,500.00 had gone to office fees and processing so I wouldn’t get all of it back. My daughter who was my drive came in the back with me because I was so upset. The office manager talked to the doctor who calmed me down and I went forward with the procedure.
When I got home I went to bed. The next day I looked at my body and noticed the hips had been done but the bra roll area had not!! Now, I working on getting corrections done, because I’m sure I will not get a refund for the error on their part. The nurse that saw me agreed, the bra roll had no changes what so ever. No soreness, as if never touched.
Please pray for me that they will honor the satisfaction agreement and correct this. I save money for two years to get this done. $11,000.00 and 6 days off from work, I truly regret going there.”

“I'm one week post-op, had my consult at the Baltimore location and my surgery at Tyson's Corner. My consultant gave me unrealistic expectations of the procedure and recovery time, vastly different from what Tyson's Corner prepared me for (which has been fairly on-point). While discussing the quote, she offered me one with discounts, but printed the original quote when we were signing paperwork. She seemed irritated when I asked about the second quote we discussed, but she did reprint it. I also elected and signed paperwork to do 12 months interest free financing. I didn't receive a receipt for my down payment and was escorted out without her giving me back my debit card and ID (didn't think about it and had to go back the next morning). The day of my surgery, in Tyson's Corner, I had to sign paperwork and found out the Baltimore location messed up and ran it at only 6 months interest free financing. They couldn't change it back without completely rescheduling my surgery, which I couldn't do since I had put in leave time at work. The finance manager at Tyson's Corner gave me a gift certificate for the hassle. My surgery and experience was amazing with the team at Tyson's Corner.”

However, my overall experience with the Hanover location has been exceptional! From my initial consult with Michelle and the communication leading up to my pre-op was very informative. On the day of my pre-op, Kalese made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She was also very knowledgeable. I am almost a week post-op now and I go for my first follow- up appointment on tomorrow. They told me I’d be able to work on the third day after my procedure. “As obvious as it may be, I was quite angry and a bit frustrated when I previously wrote this review. A few people dropped the ball where I was concerned, but by no means do I want that to reflect my overall opinion of, and experience with, Sonobello. Within 48 hrs of my review being published, I was contacted by the Director of Patient Experience, Stephanie (sp?), to assist me. Within the same week, I was scheduled for my 1 month post op! At my appointment (at the Baltimore office) I met the new practice manager, Jess. She was so accommodating and was happy that I had been able to come in. The surgeon I saw was very helpful and reassuring as well.
My road to recovery may have been a little re-routed, but I feel amazing now! My journey took me the long way, but I’m happy to be where I am at this point!
True story. I had my consult with Sonobello at the Baltimore office. Uneventful - I knew what to expect. My surgery was scheduled at the Tysons Corner office because they could fit me in a lot sooner. I scheduled my post-op for the Baltimore office since it’s way closer for me and driving was still pretty uncomfortable. I was told I’d be receiving my post-op garment at my 1 week, but that was not the case. I was measured for the garment at my 1 week. All good. At around post-op day 9 I developed an infection at my Sculpt-Ex incision site. (I’m in the medical field so I know what an infection looks like) I contacted the Baltimore office (bc that’s where I had my post-op) & was told I had to contact the office where the surgery was performed. Ok. I called Tysons & left a message regarding the infection, which by the way, ruptured when I was at the store. You’d have thought my water just broke! It was A LOT!!! I got a call back 36 HOURS LATER (after calling 2 more times). They called me in 3 prescriptions & asked me to send pics, which I did. One of the prescriptions they called in is in the same drug class with a medication that previously put me into anaphylactic shock. Please know that this information IS in my medical chart. That’s not something I’m likely to forget. Needless to say, I couldn’t take THAT antibiotic. This happened on a weekend so I couldn’t call back with this info until that Monday, day 13. I got a return call on Tuesday, day 14. They sent a different medication to the pharmacy & asked for more pics, which I sent. At the 3 week point, I received a call from the nurse I’ve been in contact with (who is VERY nice) asking me how I was doing. Kinda caught me off guard, lol. I sent another picture and she did NOT like the way it looked. They upped my dosage on the antibiotic and told me I needed to be seen. She advised me to call the Baltimore office for an immediate appointment (which would have been last week) and another follow up this week (which would have been this current week - 1 month post-op). She was sending all my info to that office with the pics and what have you. I called the Baltimore office & left a message. 3 days later, I called again & was told that bc I’m having a complication, they could not see me - that I had to go back to the location of my surgery. SERIOUSLY??!? They said they didn’t have access to any of the pics I had sent and had no way of getting them. They literally gave me the impression that they wanted NOTHING to do with me there bc I had an infection. So.... I called Tysons and spoke to the same nurse who said, “I’ll handle this.” That was 2 days ago. At this point, I still have an open wound; It’s still infected; I don’t have a 1 month post op scheduled. AND.... I can’t even wear my compression garment bc I’m supposed to wear loose clothing over the wound to let it “air out”.
P.S. My infection is healed and I’m def on the road to recovery now!”

“True story. I had my consult with Sonobello at the Baltimore office. Uneventful - I knew what to expect. My surgery was scheduled at the Tysons Corner office because they could fit me in a lot sooner. Went to Tysons for my pre-op where they took my measurements, gave me my post-op instructions, etc. My surgery was on April 13th. I got upper abs, lower abs, waist and Tri-sculpt Ex. I won’t mention the surgeons name out of respect but I was NOT happy with their bedside manner. At one point during the surgery, I was “uncomfortable” at best, but I told them they could keep going. They responded with, “Nope. I’m not doing what you can’t handle.” I was somewhat shocked, but a little too loopy to come up with an intelligent response. So be it.
The post-op pain was worse than I expected, but whatever. Like I said, I can handle it.
I scheduled my post-op for the Baltimore office since it’s way closer for me and driving was still pretty uncomfortable. At the 3 week point, I received a call from the nurse I’ve been in contact with (who is VERY nice) asking me how I was doing. Kinda caught me off guard, lol. I sent another picture and she did NOT like the way it looked. They upped my dosage on the antibiotic and told me I needed to be seen. She advised me to call the Baltimore office for an immediate appointment (which would have been last week) and another follow up this week (which would have been this current week - 1 month post-op). She was sending all my info to that office with the pics and what have you. I called the Baltimore office & left a message. 3 days later, I called again & was told that bc I’m having a complication, they could not see me - that I had to go back to the location of my surgery. SERIOUSLY??!? They said they didn’t have access to any of the pics I had sent and had no way of getting them. They literally gave me the impression that they wanted NOTHING to do with me there bc I had an infection. So.... I called Tysons and spoke to the same nurse who said, “I’ll handle this.” That was 2 days ago. At this point, I still have an open wound; It’s still infected; I don’t have a 1 month post op scheduled. AND.... I can’t even wear my compression garment bc I’m supposed to wear loose clothing over the wound to let it “air out”.
Basically what this boils down to, is that I’m out over $13,000 and have an infection to show for it. THANK YOU SONOBELLO.”

But day after day she proved to me that she was a patient advocate and cheerleader. We had a last minute conflict with my surgery. Like hours before my surgery. She literally created magic and made it happen. Don’t even get me started on my surgeon. Sarah hand picked him for me because he was her surgeon. He. Was. Incredible!!!! So sweet, so gentle and mild mannered yet funny and kind. He told me he thought I didn’t need the extra expense and risk of the skin excision and I appreciated his honesty. Both Sarah and Dr. O went above and beyond. My nurse was also a complete doll. “I was trying to refrain from writing this review but my experience with Sono Bello has been absolutely awful 😢. The only experience that was pleasant was my initial consultation. After that everything has gone down hill from that point.
Since having my consultation my husband and I have gotten news that we are with child. I called the office to speak with my lovely consultant but I was not able to get a response from her for 4 weeks. My initial thoughts weren’t to get my deposit back, but to reschedule my appointment.
Due to the lack of communication and information I was provided with from whom ever answers the phones is why I am so upset and want to do no business with this company in the future. My thoughts were would they have this communication if I didn’t need to reschedule. Mind you know one knew I wanted to reschedule the women I spoke with on the phone assumed I wanted my deposit back and told me that the request was sent in and I would have it back in my account within 3 business days.
This was a lie!! I read the reviews from other customers in the past. The doctors maybe good but I’m sorry I would rather spend a couple thousands more to ensure I have great communication and customer service. These things are very important to me. If they aren’t for you than try it out. If having exceptional customer service and communication is key for you do more research and spend your money somewhere else.
I still have not received my deposit and I have spoken to my consultant after reaching out to her several times but yet still have not gotten a word back from her on when I will receive my deposit. I have called to speak to managers countless times. No call backs and no email responses either. Very disappointing because these are life changing experiences that should be pleasant the entire process.”

“I had my revision and added waist and back roll last Saturday (Hanover). I did Not receive a follow up email or call from any staff. The surgeon I had the first time contacted me several times within the month prior.
Day of surgery, I was only medicated for about 30 minutes prior to surgery which resulted in me feeling A LOT of pain during the procedure. When I got home, I noticed a black and blue bruise on my left breast which I have no idea why! Took pics of course.
Only one week out, post opp not until next week but I've already notice one side looks very uneven. I will address this on my post opp and will update as I heal. Still in a great deal of pain which is not the same experience as before. The Surgeon was nice but the entire procedure felt very Rushed and I praying results are not a result of that.”

“I’m struggling with the number of stars to assign this review. I am 2 weeks post treatment and my feelings towards the day of my procedure and the surgery nurses has not warmed. One of the two surgical nurses needs some sort of training or maybe she was tired and she needs a vacation- she lacked compassion and overall emotional intelligence for her role. Not including the poor experience with the surgical nurses . I feel like the verbal communication about and surrounding procedures could be improved from beginning to end for a more comprehensive patient experience. The doctor was nice and seemed very knowledgeable and competent. His follow up call 4 days later was nice. Stephanie ,patient coordinator, was personable. However the saving grace for me was the empathy I received from Kalese , front desk, and the Nurse on my follow up appointment - I believe her name was Melissa. “It’s unfortunate that I have to give this center a 1 rating, because I had such a pleasant experience during my initial meeting. I met with Stephanie on Saturday, October 17th, and during that appointment, she managed to put my mind at ease and gave me a high sense of “hope” about the procedure I was considering. She also told me to think about it and send her an email if I had further questions. Additionally, she gave me a quote and potential surgery date of October 29th for the procedure. My main concern was having the procedure and being able to travel on Nov 12th, but she said I would be good to go by then. Stephanie also told me the quote (but not necessarily the surgery date) was good until Tuesday, as they are closed on Mondays. I sent her an email Tuesday morning as advised, to confirm the date for surgery (responding directly to an email she sent me on Sunday) and asked if she could call me about a couple concerns I had. Btw...the concerns I had were specific to the many reviews regarding the lack of response from the staff and the center, from the email she forwarded to me. I also called and spoke with someone at the front desk, and asked if Stephanie could return my call. Well...I’m still waiting for a return call or even a response to my email, and today is Oct 28th. Needless to say, after not receiving a return call, I went with my gut and decided to defer considering having the procedure until I complete my travel. But after not receiving a response by email or phone from Stephanie to date, I’ve decided not to have the procedure at Sono Bello at all. ”

“Must read!!!!!! I am a blogger and my reviews are 100% authentic because I want people to get the real. And that could go either way because I could’ve had a great experience or a bad one but in my case it’s kinda leaning in the direction of a train wreck and waste of money.
So when I first chose to go to sono Bello my consultant Stephanie was really great helpful in helping me choose the areas that needed to be done and we worked together to come up with the results that I wanted in the end. Getting my surgery all that went well my doctor was nice. I had the greatest nurse the day of my surgery I wish I remembered his name but he was so wonderful and made me feel really comfortable.But that’s when everything Turned. I guess after they get your money you become less of a priority at least that’s how it feels.
I am about 2 1/2 months postop. I got my upper abs lower abs back bar rules and waste liposuctioned.
About a month out I noticed that my back that I got done was completely lopsided. And I mention this to the nurse that measured me during my one-month appointment and she said that sometimes you may look a little lopsided but it may resolve itself. I waited to see if it would change and to this day it hasn’t.
Not only was my back lopsided but my upper abdomen area and waist area were we’re not fully done for the lack of a better term. I literally could touch and feel where all of the swelling was in the areas that were touched and in the areas that wasn’t touched it felt normal if that helps you get an idea of what I mean. To me no area within the areas I paid for should feel normal. I have called to expressed my concerns a few times and was always told I would get a call back to possibly get a revision. Still haven’t heard anything so I’m kind of waiting till my three month appointment to really address these concerns furthermore. Overall I did not get the results that I wanted. I understand that it may take six months or so but to me there’s really no reason why I should be lopsided or have areas that I paid for seemingly untouched. And there were parts of my body that Stephanie and I discussed and she advised that would be included in that surgery that were never even touched. I now have literally a mushroom on my back the top part of my back hangs over the bottom part of my back and I was told and paid for entire back to be done.
Her and I went over this over and over again twice in her office before I even paid for it just to reassure myself that I was getting what I wanted. That’s Wild. Which is disheartening because I really had high expectations for the results that I would have. At this point I am pretty much healing OK there is air parts of my body that are hard assuming from the swelling. There’s parts of my body that were done where his skin is tighter than others in the same area. And I’m really itchy don’t know if that’s normal but yeah it sucks. I would’ve love the opportunity to discuss this with them directly but them not answering the phone and or returning emails or messages left with the receptionist made that kind of difficult so hopefully I can come back on here after my three month appointment or after I get a second surgery or something I don’t know to better advise you guys if My issues will have been resolved.Sidenote if you want to keep up with my results you guys can follow me on YouTube and social media @flawed_but_fabulousone because a video about my experience with them will be up very soon.”

“I had my procedure Thursday 9/24. I was not happy with my experience previous when I went for my consult with the doctor. I arrived at 230 and I did not leave until after 5. I had an appointment for 3 pm.
For my procedure on Thursday , I arrived at the arrival time of 12:30 for my 2 pm surgery time. I did not get medicated until 230 and have no idea when they began the procedure. I was there until 7. No negative feedback about the procedure itself. Normal stuff there.
So there seems to be an ongoing issue with the wating times. There is always room for improvement. There are MANY posts about waiting times that I feel are unreasonable. These procedures are not cheap by any means. And not to mention that your patients time is just as valuable and important.
With regard to the one week post op, they should have on site the materials necessary to be handed out and not order them a week post op if they are required that immediate.
I have been in health care before. When you have a medicated procedure, there really should be a follow up call the following day by ideally the nurse that was with you on the day of your procedure. They have plenty of time to do this between procedures. While I waited in the room the day of my procedure for 2 hours I heard them in the station area laughing and joking. So clearly there is time for this to be done. This would be the time to schedule your follow up and answer questions while performing a check in on you. Make sure you are following the directions for your after procedure care. This is good customer relations. I did miss a call from the doctor 2 days later and that was fine. A reasonable time to hear from the doctor and a nice personal touch that does not always happen anymore.
The assigned nurse that I had was great otherwise. No complaints about the staff once actually being seen for any visit. They are skilled professionals. No issues with that. It was mostly the time waiting and the follow up.
Last suggeestion, I am 4 days post op so I do not know what to expect with results. That will be a future post. However, I do feel that the doctor should be consulting with the patients before you pay for the service since payment in full is required prior to scheduling. I feel that there may be another area that will need to be addressed and it could have easily been at the same time and scheduled all at once if I had consulted with the doctor first. Nurse practitioners have thir place. But the doctors are the skilled performers. So there should be consult days and surgical days and not a mixture of both. Procedures run over and waiting for him to step out of surgery is not the way to schedule a consult. Doctors should perform the consults and then you follow up with the nurse practitioner. for the scheduling and confirmation of the areas to be addressed. Seems to be a lack of an office manager possibly. As I am currently in a management postion and have been for 16 years, I am on site 60 hours per week as I value my customers and their contribution to my reputation. After all if the busness fails, so have I. It is the office managers job to assure that your visit is the best it could be. Which brings be back to follow up. Maybe there should be a quality person that calls after all your visits to assure there are no negative feedback comments to be posted. Not addressing them after they are posted...”

“I went there for the first time for a consultation....I was told to arrive at 3:30 to fill out paperwork. I arrived earlier than that 3:20 and when I walk up to the receptionist and tell her that I am here for my appointment, she looks bothered by it. She rolls her eyes and hands me the paperwork. She looked like she did not enjoy her job.
Being in healthcare, I ignored her attitude because we have all had bad days. I fill out my paperwork and hand it back to her. I waited almost 2 hours in the waiting room. I could not wait any longer. I tell the receptionist that I am leaving bc I have been waiting for 2 hours and she says “I’m sorry. She’s almost done”. Yeah well that’s what she told me 30 mins ago.
Like I said, I work in healthcare. I know people get backed up. The correct thing would’ve been to inform the patient that there is a wait longer than expected. I drove 35 mins just to sit in a waiting room for 2 hrs. Not acceptable!!!”

“I got surgery on my chest late February and had to wait during the coronavirus pandemic for the store to reopen. Granted that I understood these life events are unstoppable. What I didn’t like was Sono Bello scheduling an appointment for me June 2nd without Dr. Dennis which wasted my time driving up there for 35 mins for a 2 min check up just to do the same procedure 2 weeks later! After my initial appointment with Dr. Dennis which was the exact same procedure the prior 2 weeks. I was suppose to get a call to schedule my next revision date to have my surgery the same day I left that facility. I didn’t hear from no one two days passed. I had to make a call myself just to get told will be setting up a date for you to get your prescriptions July 14th. Mind you I already had my surgery in February and now I have to wait till July 14th just to get meds. Will I have to wait a month time after that date again just to do my surgery... I’m really dissatisfied as I’m hearing he’s doing surgeries after I’ve asked to talk to him the past three days with no response. It’s like once you’ve done your surgery your on the back burner or something smh.
Revise: Manager Dion assured me I will have my surgery soon and gave me a date. Hopefully my surgery date will be fulfilled I appreciate the explanation and her concerns.”

“Overall, if I were to do this again, I would not go to Sono Bello. Yeah, the healthcare practitioners are great and they did a good job, but this is 2020. I'm sure there are many practices with much better follow up and service. With my current experience, all the back and forth, I would not recommend them to anyone.

I had my procedure 3 weeks ago, on February 11. Procedure went great. Dr Paul and the nurse were amazing. At my 1 week follow up, I met with a nurse. She was amazing. Answered all my questions. I felt good, healing well. The practice manager stopped by to say hi. She's great. Good experience on that day.
3 weeks later, after following up, I finally received my second stage garment today. I had to follow up with them to request it, when it finally arrives, it's 2 sizes too big. Considering this is an item I should have been wearing from day 3, it comes across as they don't care. It's disappointing that I still don't have the right garment on Day 21.
EDIT: February 10.
So the team has gone above and beyond to make up for my initial experience. I decided to go ahead with the procedure. I was scheduled within a week. The preOP is thorough. Dr Paul addressed all my questions. He is very knowledgeable.
My procedure is in a few days, I’m nervous and excited. So far, I’m impressed enough to change my rating from 1 to 5 stars.
First POST: January 27.
My appointment was 10:45. They tell you to arrive early, i did. It is now 11:15 and I’m walking out- still had not been seen. Time management is a major part of patient care, if they can’t manage that well, I don’t know that I could trust their skills.”

I had actually met her at a previous place of employment so it was good to see her. She’s very thorough and professional. She shared her own personal story which was impressive. She referred me to private practice who could do general anesthesia which I would need to move forward should I choose to. Also, she has a dern good memory to recognize me immediately. Once I came in for my consultation the front desk staff was pleasant and made me feel good about my decision. My consultant Talia was extremely wonderful, she was able to help me with pricing and she was very knowledgeable about the procedure. She was encouraging throughout the whole process. She made me feel so comfortable I paid cash in full for my procedure. I had to reschedule to take care of something and she was even very helpful and patient through that process. “I met with Lyz for my initial consultation. I found Lyz to be very professional, personable and likable. She was also very informative, patient and answered all of my questions. She did not rush me...she made me feel like I was her only focus. My initial consultation experience was what made me feel comfortable enough to move forward. Lyz helped to put my doubts at ease.
Today I met with Dr. Dennis. What a professional! Dr. Dennis and Nurse Julia both made me feel comfortable with the process. Dr. Dennis is very patient and explained everything. Nurse Julia and Dr. Dennis were very thorough. Dr. Dennis ensured that all of my questions were answered and they both asked me to write down if I had any further questions and advised me to bring them on the day of the procedure.
I can’t say enough about how positive my experience was at Sonobello so far. I have to say I put this off a few months because I was nervous. My questions were answered and that made me feel comfortable. I feel confident moving forward with the procedure.
I will add to this after the procedure.
I hope this is helpful for anyone who is struggling and wondering whether or not to do a procedure like this. All I can say is if you want to improve your figure and you have tried everything else--why not give this a shot. Just make sure you come to this location in Hanover Maryland.”

“It has been a little over a year since I had my procedure done here. I opted to have 3 sections operated on, upper and lower abs and my waist. In total it cost me way more than I thought it should, but I took a leap of faith thinking it would give me the results I was looking for. With each follow up appointment I told the staff here that I didn’t see any changes and they told me each time that it takes some time to notice. At my last follow up appointment the female taking my post op photos looked at the before and after shots as I was telling her that there were still no differences. I could tell by her reaction that she couldn’t disagree with me. She told me there would probably be something one of the doctors there could suggest for me and that she would have them contact me about other options for improving my waistline and abs. I have yet to hear back from anyone. In addition, I must say that the facility as a whole doesn’t seem to have an organized sense of staffing. Any time I was there it seemed like there was always some sort of scheduling issues and I nearly felt like I was inconveniencing the staff just by going to my appointment. I would highly recommend you use a different option to achieve the body image results you desire. This place is not the right answer.”

“I had seen the SonoBello commercials so many times but of course I did not believe it. Over the years I had yoyo dieted, gone to a nutritionist, done so many fad diets, taken multiple types of different over the counter diet pills and prescription diet pills and gone to the gym. Then I was in a bad accident and gained a lot of weight after I had to have a major surgery on my spine.
When I finally got a good look in the mirror one night. I took a couple pictures and all I could do is burst out in tears when I looked at what I saw. The next day, I called and made the appointment for my Free consultation. I knew that was not the person I did not want to be anymore.
When I say Dr. Onyewu and the Staff have brought me back to life. Dr. O is the sweetest straight forward physician you will ever want to meet. Nurse Rena and everyone from the Consultants from the Front Desk to the Prep Nurses are the nicest most down to earth medical staff that you will every want to meet.
I live in New Jersey and I would drive to the Hanover, Maryland location where my consultation originated because I did not want to leave that office.
I did not think I would ever feel like I would ever be able to be myself ever again. It is real!!! SonoBello has revived me. I look in the mirror now and I still cry but I cry tears of joy. It is the best thing I could have ever done for myself. I had a before and after picture I wanted to send but I could not do it here. Again, Thank you SonoBello for giving me my life back.”

“I had my surgery done Feb 15th, Dr O was awesome and that where it turned. I called to see if I could come in a little earlier for my follow up appointment and was told it had been moved to another 2wks out. I explained that I was having concerns and again was told they would see March 9th. I went to sleep Thursday night and woke to a burning pain in my right side, when I tried to get out of bed it hurt more than the surgery. Once in the bathroom I threw up became dizzy and almost passed out. My husband heard me and helped me back to the room. Took my temperature it was 104. Friday morning I called the center explained what was happening was put on hold for the nurse; she never came to the phone so the reception comes back on and says the nurse wasn't available but I could talk to the manager fine. I was put back on hold then eventually hung up on. I gave them my name a number 3 times and still havent heard from them. Ended up need IV antibiotics topical and oral as well along with extra trips to have blood drawn to make sure my numbers are going down.
I'm never one to tell anyone what to do or think and my experiences may not be yours. But hindsight I wouldn't do it with this company again.”

“If I could give a lower review, that would be what she deserves. Dr. Banks is too smart in the mouth and has no concern or care for her patients. When I was showing the area of concern on my body she simply said “ I can’t fix what I don’t see” and when my daughter tried to show her she said “well you fix it”. That was very ignorant and uncalled for. She had a smirk on her face while I was addressing my issues and went back and forth with me about what we did and didn’t discuss or agree to prior to my surgery. Beware! If you don’t want to leave looking lopsided, uneven, and square, consider choosing a more professional and considerate doctor!”

“I wanted to look better so I had a consultation with the company staff who were very positive about the possibility of very good results . The entire office staff was amazing and kind and I booked a liposuction procedure for my abdomen and ‘love handles’. At my pre-op, I met the Doctor, who was very professional and thorough. What I really liked what that his approach was “realistic” and not full of false expectations.
I had the procedure one week after booking it (partially to accommodate my upcoming work schedule) and on the day of the procedure, the staff were, again, amazing and the Doctor was, again, very thorough and his demeanor and professionalism put me at ease. It has been less than one week since the procedure at the time of this writing, but I can say that I only had slight discomfort and I am healing as quickly as can be expected and in line with the expectations that the Doctor set before the procedure. I am returning tomorrow for my one-week post-op follow up and I look forward to hearing the Doctor’s feedback and comments. I see improvements already and look forward to seeing continuing improvements as I go through the recovery process (which, again, the Doctor was very realistic about – and I’m finding my recovery to be right in line with expectations he set during our discussions).
I very pleased that I chose Sono Bello in Hanover, MD., and would highly recommend the Doctor and his very professional staff to anyone seeking advise on these kinds of procedures.”

“I was very impressed and my 3 day results are significant. I had my upper, lower abs and love handles done. I was terrfied but the staff was very polite and attentive and helped ease my mind. The plastic surgeons are all board certified that work at Sonobello so its the real deal…The pain was minimal during the procedure. The Doctor talked me through the whole process because you are awake. You will receive local meds to make the pain bearable however. I’m currently on my 3rd day of recovery and I couldn’t be happier with my results. I recommend the Hanover, MD office at Buckingham Palace to anyone. I have to admit I was very skectipal at first but it’s been well worth it so far. Make sure you take all the aftercare instructions seriously. Get the platinum aftercare package because it will minimize your swellen and bruising. I can’t wait to go back to my 1st week post op appt. Please, please, keep in mind this is not a weight loss surgery but it will change how you feel about yourself and your appearance 100% , Only diet and exercise can help you loose weight.
