Heather was kind, informative and helpful during the pre-op appointment. Nurse Bailey was patient and kind & really went over and above to keep me comfortable before, during and after the procedure.

Dr. Wilder was professional, pleasant and he worked very hard during my procedure. He has a great bedside manner! He also played awesome music during the procedure which was a great diversion!

If you are going to have a procedure, make sure you read all of the paperwork regarding your after care. This way you will have time to get any of the things that you need that are not provided. They do give you several things, but you will also need bacitracin ointment. You may want to buy pineapple juice which they recommend to help with bruising and swelling. Plus, it contains little or no sodium. Sonobello sends you home with a compression garment (no additional cost) which is black. It allows you to use the restroom without taking it off. I had no trouble sleeping in it last night.

The final costs include everything except your prescription medications, the bacitracin, and pineapple juice if you like that. It’s been great for me. I bought a 24 pack of 8 ounce cans off Amazon and that’s been super convenient and tasty. So you can pick all that up when you pick up your prescriptions at the pharmacy. Do not use Neosporin in place of bacitracin because they said it will cause bellybutton redness which may be misconstrued as infection.

If you have the Ab/Ex procedure, they recommend you sleep upright, propped up on pillows. You could also sleep in a reclining chair. Target has a $20 bedrest pillow with arms, that works great. Just put a couple regular pillows in front of it for a more comfortable angle. The pillow is, “Faux Shearling Bed Rest Pillow by Room Essentials. “It’s $20 when purchased online. It might be the same price in store.

I would definitely recommend the Kansas City Sonobello in Overland Park, Kansas! Great people and a very clean and well run facility. Thank you very much to everybody at Sonobello!”

“Dr. Ellison was very nice and attentive! Answered all of my questions and concerns. My immediate post-op pictures looked great. My nurse Bailey was also nice and helpful both pre-op and post-op.very excited to see my final results.
Only thing I would change was my online consultant Julie Kaczmarek. I was less than impressed with her. She was hard to get ahold of. When I finally did get ahold of her to book my surgery, she overbooked me and I had to switch locations. I also asked her for before/after photos from my Doctor and she told me no, that photos were not shared. Which made zero sense to me as photos are shared on their instagram page and website. I reached out to the sono Bello page on instagram and they told me to reach out to the office and they would have pictures they could share. I did, which just resulted in the receptionist messaging my consultant Julie who then again emailed me stating, “ As a company they do share photos! As a consultant and team we do not. This is not a private practice and again, all of our surgeons have a lot of training and experience.” Completely zero help. Was quite upsetting that I did not get to research my surgeon and see his work beforehand.

“Got the chest EX and I knew I was going to need a revision two days after my surgery. They make you wait 6 months till they will even consider you for a revision. 6 months passed and I got approved for revision. Now since they don't any money on revisions they schedule you out an entire year to make a revision. But wait I could gotten my revision sooner if I pay more, of course! They want me to pay more to fix their mistake.

I couldn't recommend these people less, go somewhere else please. At least get the same surgery priced somewhere else.

Update #1:

I sent them an email and they said they would get back to me in two days. Two weeks later I have no response to a resolution. They don't care, clearly go somewhere else.

“I'll be honest, when they said they could do skin removal and lipo while I was awake, freaked me out. The thought of that seems crazy! But....it wasn't bad at all, I don't remember most of the day actually. I'm about a week and a half out and I feel pretty good. I'm still sore but that's to be expected. “Called to find out if I was a candidate for procedures and was told I would need to DC a med for the consult. As someone that coordinates surgeries for a living this made absolutely no sense. The rep confirmed that consultations and procedures are not done on the same day, so why would one be asked to stop a medication to schedule a consult? And what if I am not a candidate simply due to the use of that medication? Sono Bello is willing to risk someone's health that they know nothing about by asking them to stop taking a medication before they even see them? Sono Bello doesn't mind wasting their own or a patient's time that may not even be a candidate due to medication use? “Day 1, I find out that the abs and flanks are not two areas, but FOUR. They break it up in the upper apps, lower Abs, upper flank, and lower flank (waist and hips). The advertisement for $1349 per area, but that's false advertising as it goes on your BMI-and if you're near 30 you're going to be paying 2300. That's not including additional fees, like the Diamond Recovery kit and is required.
So I go in to meet the doctor and I'm in a bikini thing. He asked for permission to be grabby and I say OK. What I did not expect was for him to yank my underwear down and grab my fupa. He gave it a shake and said this is still going to be fat. Rude and NOT an area he had permission to assess. So I do the procedure anyway, shrugging it off. At my one week visit, the nurse is telling me that they're really good about doing revisions, which is why the charge more than other places. Her comment surprised me because I hadn't been planning on at that point. I thought she must be seeing things that I'm not seeing. As weeks go on, the fat revascularizes and puffs out, although I've lost weight. Again, at my one month she tells me that they are really good about doing revisions. By the way, they also stalk you on social media, like their SB Facebook page and will answer your questions without you asking them...
Well, now that the fluff fairy came, I'm up for revision and I see what the nurse means and how it looked better if we did a touch up. I would have considered adding on the bra roll at that point. So I go to the 6 month appointment and I'm at the proper weight and they tell me that they're not going to do it. They say that I'm good enough, and everything is over unless I wanted more procedures. So, I felt kind of manipulated, that they had just suckered me in with a revision to all those appointments so that they could get their pictures to put in their binders to convince more people to spend money. Mind you, I got a cheaper quote for a tummy tuck with lipo. I think people should consider getting on wegovy or doing that actual TT so they don't have loose skin. Overall, I'm irritated with how I feel manipulated and wish I'd gone with the TT or pills instead.”

She has a huge incision that looks like she should have stayed overnight in a hospital for observation. While I was helping my mom change here dressings she almost passes out and I had to call EMS to make sure she was ok. They were surprised that she was sent home with the condition she was in. My mom also called the office to talk to her doctor and they said they would have the doctor call her back and we have still not heard from him. First and last experience I will ever have here.”

The amount of fat taken is so much as to complement the natural figure of the person and the remainder fat enough to be the natural barrier of our organs and muscles (you have to have a certain amount of fat in the body for that reason and others). The doctor and nurse are definitely blessed with their skills and are naturally calming during the whole process.”

“Staff was very professional, kind, funny, and approachable and authentic. They explained everything before, during and after, and were encouraging and comforting. Nathan (RN) and Dr. Saxon had a great rapport during the procedure. As an RN myself, it was nice to note a mutual respect that is sometimes (stereotypically) lacking between doctors and nurses. A new nurse in orientation also shadowed the process and assisted me afterwards with getting dressed, the restroom, etc, and was just lovely. The way Nathan educated and explained things to her was kind and patient, and you can tell he really knows what he’s doing and has a passion for it. Dr. Saxon had a great sense of humor, and was also very nice and encouraging. He was realistic with me about expectations, and during the procedure he communicated with me the whole time, whether I was fully aware/conscious, etc. He checked on me frequently during, and would explained things as he went. I felt like his attention to detail was strong, as I realized he was frequently inspecting his own work, and occasionally going back to fine-tune, like an artist would. The waiting and recovery areas, as well as the OR, were clean and modern with up to date equipment and I noted a communication board where they kept track of everything as they went. The first RN I met who prepped me for everything, was also WONDERFUL. I can’t recall her name which makes me feel terrible, but she set me at ease and is a pro at placing IVs. There was constant communication about vital signs and other things. As a healthcare provider, I feel they exceeded my expectations”

“Had a consult today. Every one was nice and informative. The only issue I had was I was told the laser lipo can be a painful procedure depending on how well your body tolerates the pain medication and lidocaine. They said for some people it’s painful and I asked if I had it done and it hurt would I be given any other medication during the procedure and was told no. They only Medicate you before it starts. So if you end up being in pain during the procedure your just out of luck.

I think if an establishment is going to charge more than a tummy tuck they should at least accommodate to the individual patients needs better. We’re not all built the same. I’m not paying $9k plus for a “ you might be in pain you might not be” not worth the money to me IMO.

Giving 3 stars because the girl at the front desk was super nice.”
