“This is a wonderful place where honesty and integrity rule over money and profit!
The staff is friendly and welcoming, Liz is a font is information, and the nurses and doctors are completely forthright about where your expectations fall.
I went today for my pre-op appointment and was worried that what I was looking for wasn't going to happen. Turns out, they agreed with me, but told me what my options were and what avenue to take next before returning to discuss any future procedures.
I can't tell you how grateful I was that my doctor was truthful with me, because after all, he said, it's all about the patient and not them.
No one tried to tell me I was just suffering from nerves, and no one tried to push ahead instead of listening to my doubts. If they had, I would have been so disappointed with substandard results, and upset that I couldn't trust what was said.
Sono Bello is first rate, and I cannot recommend it enough! I couldn't be helped; AT THIS TIME, but I'll definitely be back when I lose the rest of the weight that keeps me from achieving the results I want.”

Ariel during my consultation was overwhelmed and so busy and still took the time to go over everything very slowly and complete. Dr Gilbert was great in explaining what exactly he was going to do during the procedure and how to take care of my incision and drainage holes. “From the front desk to my consultation with Ariel, (who allows me to text her with questions as they pop into my head) to the pre-op with Dr. Ayewah and Alex, everyone is so personal and knowledgeable. On the morning of my procedure, nerves set in. I was greeted at 5:30 am with a smile from my surgical nurse Lisa and taken back to my prep room. The prep was simple and easy. Lisa was attentive and professional, but was there for every question Dr Ayewah came in and marked the areas to be taken care of. She is perfection. I got my "cocktail" and it didn't take long for it to make me very comfortable. Lisa walked me into the procedure room and we began. The procedure itself is not painful. There is some tugging. But I stayed awake through the lipo. Although I wanted to remain awake, the meds kicked in. Now onto the AbEX. These ladies are amazing. Taking care of everything including myself as a patient who has no recall of anything past the lipo section. Thank you all!!!! Lisa you are a rock!! Now, a week later, I have been to my first follow up and Brittani was amazing. Checking my progress, telling me how good I am doing. Answering all the dumb and not so dumb questions with a smile. So, thank you Sono Bello and your staff. Everyone does their job with a smile and a loving heart!”

“I was actually looking forward for my consultation that I scheduled a week in advance. I came on time like I was told to, they make you come 15 mins prior to your appointment for paperwork. I had no problems with that, I fill out my paperwork in a timely manner and was told it’ll be a 45 minute wait so I stay to be seen. An hour elapsed to be told it’s an extra 2 Hr waiting time and I can’t be seen today. I HAD A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT BTW !”

“To be lied to is an understatement. Drive an hour for an appointment that was supposed to be with a surgeon only to be told no, they changed policy. I'm beyond upset and disappointed. The amount of money they want and then you can't even talk with a physician.

Update 1 - I was contacted and scheduled to see a physician. They were very nice when they contacted me and I appreciate the time they took to reach out to me to make everything right. I'll update again! Hopefully more stars get added. The office staff are definitely lovely.”

“The staff at the Sono Bello Norfolk location are on point… the low ratings are a lie! I took an Uber to my 1-week post op appointment and my ETA was showing as 7 mins after my scheduled time so I was worried about being seen before everything shut down before the holidays. I called in advance and they were so accommodating and had my back. From inquiry to now, the process has been smooth. There were a ton of resources and reviews available online before I even reached out. I had scheduled an appointment with an AirSculpt location and the reviews weren’t great and it felt like they only wanted me to make a deposit for a sale - so I canceled and started researching local options and I’m thankful I did. After having gone through the consultation process with AirSculpt, I can say that Sono Bello made me feel more at ease and I didn’t feel like a sale. Liz was my consultant and was extremely down to earth. My procedure nurse Lisa was AMAZING and made my husband comfortable when he got nervous. I didn’t catch my post-op nurse’s name but she was so friendly and relatable as well. Every staff person and receptionist I’ve encountered has gone above and beyond to make me feel taken care of and human.

The process itself was smooth and I’m excited to see the results in 3-6 months! Highly recommend!”

So she paid them, here it is December 10th nearly 3 months later and she is still waiting. Last week she asked for them to return the money since it's been nearly 3 months and she's not even been scheduled. They are refusing to refund it. If we could rate these conartists 0 stars we would. Liz was my consultant and she was absolutely amazing and very insightful. She made me feel like a person. She didn’t push anything. She told me the truth and answered everything I asked. Dr. Atun is incredible!!! He is funny and super sweet. He got the job done! I loved that he personally called me the day after my procedure to check on me. Janeris was my nurse, she was amazing as well. She was upfront with me when I asked questions. She was there for me the entire time. I am extremely grateful. Don, was my other nurse. He supported me in this decision and was there for me the entire time. I saw Carissa during the monthly check and she is helpful and amazing as well. “I had the SAME exact experience as L. Adderly. I was running about 5 min. late for my appt., so I called to notify them, thinking that was the polite thing to do (sometimes life happens and you can't control variables such as traffic accidents, etc. and you may be unintentionally late). The person who answered said "Didn't anyone tell you to be here 15 min. before your appt.?" and I said "No, I wasn't told that". She put me on hold, then came back and said, "Well you're gonna have to reschedule". I said "Ok, do you have any Sat. appts.?". She said, "We're booked" and I asked how far out they were booked, because I was willing to wait a month or two if I could get a Sat. appt.", to which I was told, "I can't tell if we're gonna have any Saturday appts. that far in advance. You'll have to call and check back because I can't tell you if we'll be booked on a Saturday a month from now". WHAT? Isn't that how one determines if they have availability to schedule an appt? The overwhelming impression I got was that they don't need or care if they have my business, but a month later, I'm STILL receiving texts suggesting I call to reschedule. I would love to, but after that first encounter, I figured I could at least find a place that could offer courtesy and professionalism.”

I was a little skeptical about the process and procedure, but once it was fully explained, I was totally at ease and on board.
The care and professionalism starts with the front receptionist team of Cherrisse, Naima, Toy, and Cari. They were genuine, caring and very professional.

The superb management crew of Deneen and Carissa really reflected the team, as a whole, nothing short of awesome.

Liz, my consultant is and was on point with the full explanation of the entire process from A to Z. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and passionate about the process of disseminating pertinent information to clients.

“My experience with this office and consultation has been one I have totally regretted. I was seeking help with body sculpturing and the best procedure that could assist with getting the results I have craved as I life events occur. I have always been in to my health and the desire to look and feel better. I was looking forward to a procedure and services from sono bello team that gave the impression that they cared about my personal goal with my treatment plan. I was deemed it was not in my best interest to go forward with my procedure as I wasn't obese or at physical risk as some other clients. I met with my consultant and thought everything was legit and the sales pitch was amazing to which made me feel more than just a future client but very personable with the entire staff. Upon determining a date to have my procedure done I was made to feel that sono bello was completely in my best interest physical personal goals. Unfortunately, once receiving my down payment and prep for my procedure everything was all smiles but what transpired once the physician team determined I wouldn't be a good candidate to meet my goals as far as my appearance and physical desires I was told I would receive my refund as the doctor recommended this be initiated as I may not be satisfied with what I was requesting upon completion of this procedure. I was told by the staff and not to worry that a refund would be initiated and would be receive this within 30-45 days. So with such a large sum of money I was not comfortable with that response but I trusted there accounting and billing process as to what was conveyed to me as assurance. I am writing this to say that time period has elapsed and I have yet to receive a payment from the business nor has anyone of authority at this location has given a proper response but my refund is still in the limbo. I have called various office as well as 1-800's to get any insight as to if and when I should receive my refund and it what form. I have received ZERO response from any manager or staff as to just say be patient with my own money. Really!!

I hope no one else experiences this and make sure you ask pertinent questions if you ever visit this location or this business as a whole because, they will tell you be patient or someone will reach out to you but you will surely be at the mercy of this business when they get to your claim.

I can honestly say that I had heard of Sono Bello for years and I just thought they had longevity in this industry and there reputation was of good value for the client. So not the case... Beware if you fall in to a such a criteria as you may not be told of the difficulty getting your refund upon signing the contract for the procedure.”

“where is the 0 stars? if you're looking for excellent or even good customer service, don't go here! despite all the bad reviews out there, I had a good experience at Sono Bello Norfolk, before Covid. It is no longer the same. Why has everything since Covid changed? People no longer return phone calls. In June, I went in and spoke to Ariel, the sales manager. Who was very nice. I agreed to have the doctor "stage me" for certain areas that I wanted done. She wanted to put me with Dr. G because he had worked on her family, and she had nothing but good things to say about him. At my preop appointment, the nurse was snarky. Made my husband feel very uncomfortable for sitting too close to the door. After meeting with Dr Gilbert , he completely changed up everything that was to be done. They had me sign papers and didn't give me any copies. Next thing I know I see charges in the amount of nearly $20,000 on two credit accounts! I should have been nervous and excited for surgery the next day. instead, I was nervous and ambivalent. However, I thought maybe they were having a bad day so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I was told I'm going to get the doctors cell phone number for contact. At checkout, the receptionist seemed very confused and asked if the amount on the papers was correct. Should they not know this? I didn’t receive copies of any of that paperwork.
I prayed the next day that I would have a different nurse. The next morning, met at the door by nurse Lauren, who is very friendly. She stayed with me through the whole procedure. Having been a nurse myself, I question why no IV antibiotic. She tells me that they don't do the IV unless they're taking skin. But they're still cutting skin!
So I go through the procedure after the doctor telling me he's going to contact me the next day. My husband was left out front so he assumed they were giving instructions to him. I received medication to put me in light sedation, but I felt a lot more pain this time. I also noticed after the procedure that it doesn’t appear like they used betadine for skin prep. Thought it was a standard of care in an OR setting.
I had my procedure on a Thursday. I received no phone calls on Friday. Over the weekend, I looked for the Dr’s number because I had a medical concern. After looking through the paperwork that I had, I realize they didn’t give me anything from the preop appointment. I didn't have his phone number anywhere! Attempts to call the office only received voicemail. I waited and still no follow-up calls.
On Postop day 5, I finally reached the office and explained the situation. I can't get through to the practice manager or Ariel, the sales manager. I called the ambassador team and they try to put me through to either Lauren or Dr. G. They attempt to put me on with the nurse from preop! I don't want to deal with this office anymore. After six attempts to reach the doctor he finally called me from his cell phone. I explained to him that I will not be coming back into that office. He apologizes for not following up.
After not having received any follow up calls from the practice manager, I file a review and a complaint, with the Better Business Bureau and dispute all the charges. After the preop appointment, they charge me $20,000 for everything I had planned to do. I have not had any of it done!!! And where did my $2500 deposit go? I am not paying what they're charging me! As a human being and a medical professional, I am appalled that I have not heard back from anyone! I didn't receive a second stage garment or any follow up. So that needs to be taken into account. Please for your sanity do not go to this office!!!

“I sure wish I would have read these reviews before I wasted my time driving here. My appointment was supposed to be at 1:30pm today and I was asked to be there at 1:15pm. I was there on time. I was also told consultation would take 45 mins. Several people came in after me and were seen. I finally went up to the desk at 2:00pm and I asked when I would be seen and was it normal for appointments to be running behind. The receptionist was friendly, but she mentioned she “thought” it would be at least another 45 minutes before I was actually seen. She really wasn’t sure. So I have already taken time out of my day and still wasn’t sure when I was going to be seen. This is unprofessional to me. Here’s a thought…if appointments are running behind, inform patients coming in and give them the opportunity to reschedule rather than having them sit there and assume they have all day to be waiting around. “I normally don't give a review unless the service or my experience was horrible but I had to this time, after so many negative reviews I've read. I am a week out from my procedure which was done on 3/23/23 I've always wanted to get my stomach done because I felt like nothing I did help so I started looking at other doctors and watching how they did the procedure but was too scared to follow through. My biggest fear was going under general anesthesia and not waking up and having a drainage tube "A definite NO for me" Somehow I came cross Sonobello first thing I did was read reviews, and followed their IG page. I seen so many amazing results but no one in our area, and not too many reviews to go off of so I decided to do my research. I went for a consultation and that went well "with Liz" she did not try to sale me anything I didn't ask for and was so sweet and fun to talk to. At the time of visit I discussed upper lower abdomen and sides. I went home thought on it and did more research. I watched several YouTube video's and I made my mind up. Paid my deposit had my Pre opt done by nurse Carissa, very nice and sweet person who answer or returned my calls to answer any questions i had before my procedure. I met Carissa and Dr. Gilbert my surgeon at the same time. He came in told me how the procedure would go and asked if I had questions, I discussed my concerns and he explained everything to me. Very nice and soft spoken guy. I actually added on my bra rolls after speaking to Dr. Gilbert "my choice" because i wanted to knock everything out at once. After meeting with Dr
Gilbert I even did my research on him and seen how many years of experience he had and was happy they paired him with me. Day of procedure everything went as planned I actually started 30 mins early, I was greeted by my nurse Laurette who was fantastic! Super sweet girl. She explained everything she was doing before hand. During the procedure I did not feel much of anything maybe like 2 little pinches near my rib not even the numbing part.The cocktails they gave me had me so in and out of sleep the 2 pinches didn't really bother me. He asked where did I feel it at I pointed and went back to sleep lol I don't know what else was said but I do remember him telling me to move about and to stand up one time but beside that the cocktail did its job! I cant say I have a high tolerance for pain because I don't I can bare pain to a certain extent. Even days following the procedure I was just sore and stiff no major pain, mainly after getting up and out of bed and when sitting and standing up. Im still a little sore, swollen and bruised but nothing major. I have been up and mobile since the night of my procedure. I have not had one negative experience with this company or the staff even down to the front desk staff. They answered my questions and wasn't rude not one time to me. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of my nurse today at my 1 week appointment but she was sweet as well. I almost forgot! The day of my procedure i went home and i got sick from the pain meds which i knew would happened because strong meds like that does that to me but i was light headed and vomiting, i called Dr Gilbert he answered first call and explained to me that was a side effect of the meds and to use extra strength Tylenol instead. We hung up and he called right back to make sure i had some with me and told me to rest. The next day he called me early in the morning to check up on me to see how i was doing and to make sure i follow all post procedure instructions. I also received a call on Monday from someone at Sonobello to check on me and to make sure everything was going smooth. One thing i learned in my adult years is you can't satisfy everyone and it's always gonna be someone who has something negative to say or unhappy about something, So do your research and don't just go off others opinions. My experience has been GREAT! Dr. Gilbert and my team was amazing! and I'm am happy I had the team I had and I decided to follow my gut.”

I brought my husband in with his questions as well she was so knowledgeable and patient with us and by time we left the office was closed. We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. I’m still healing and in the next 2 to 3 months I’ll be on to stage 2 with Dr. Centeno. Normally I would wait until I’ve completed my process to leave a review however every person from the front desk when I walked in to my post op apt has been so great I wanted to post while in process.
Update: Completed stage 2 the last week of December and still think Dr Centeno is amazing he even called a couple times after the surgery to check on me. My experience with the office wasn’t as smooth the 2nd time which was a bit stressful. I again reached out to Liz for assistance and she straightened everything out within a couple hours. While at my preop apt they were unable to find my record initially, then the billing person came in with it saying I owed more money and she couldn’t find my apt. Alex was my nurse and found the paperwork in my record stating what I paid for and Liz fixed the scheduling. All worked out in the end but like I said it was stressful. I had the abex, thighs, and knees. I will say that the biggest impact is the hips and abex for sure. The thighs and knees aren’t as huge a difference. I see it more in the fit of my clothes than overtly obvious but I get it. If you take too much from the thighs you would end up with really loose skin and Dr Centeno let me know that ahead of the procedure. The lipo on the thighs hurt apparently a really sensitive area and the recovery from the abex was more difficult than the hips by far. It was difficult to stand up straight for at least a week or two which makes sense because of what the surgery is. It took a sec after standing to stretch out. One thing I didn’t think of was that I would end up with a new belly button. I don’t know if that happens for everyone but it never occurred to me to ask. Hadeyln has been amazing and supportive. She has answered all my questions and offered great suggestions for healing. Overall everything turned out great and I am really happy with the results and Dr Centeno.”

Update: Completed stage 2 the last week of December and still think Dr Centeno is amazing he even called a couple times after the surgery to check on me. My experience with the office wasn’t as smooth the 2nd time which was a bit stressful. I again reached out to Liz for assistance and she straightened everything out within a couple hours. While at my preop apt they were unable to find my record initially, then the billing person came in with it saying I owed more money and she couldn’t find my apt. Alex was my nurse and found the paperwork in my record stating what I paid for and Liz fixed the scheduling. All worked out in the end but like I said it was stressful. I had the abex, thighs, and knees. I will say that the biggest impact is the hips and abex for sure. The thighs and knees aren’t as huge a difference. I see it more in the fit of my clothes than overtly obvious but I get it. If you take too much from the thighs you would end up with really loose skin and Dr Centeno let me know that ahead of the procedure. The lipo on the thighs hurt apparently a really sensitive area and the recovery from the abex was more difficult than the hips by far. It was difficult to stand up straight for at least a week or two which makes sense because of what the surgery is. It took a sec after standing to stretch out. One thing I didn’t think of was that I would end up with a new belly button. I don’t know if that happens for everyone but it never occurred to me to ask. Hadeyln has been amazing and supportive. She has answered all my questions and offered great suggestions for healing. Overall everything turned out great and I am really happy with the results and Dr Centeno.”

So I call this PCC and tell her I will bring her cash on my doctors appointment day. she says well that is gonna be a late fee!!! I had had it by that time! My husband and my friends told
Me it was a sign not to do it. I finally made it
To the doctors appointment and he changed everything for me. He was so nice, and informative and showed me the scar was going to be low and showed me how my other scars healed and they didnt look bad. He calmed my nerves and answered my questions without making me feel stupid or defensive. He and my nurse during (I don’t really remember after) the procedure were fantastic! And I love how I look.”

“My initial thoughts on this practice were great. Fast forward several weeks and my surgery was denied due to an allergy. I can live with that, however, this is something that could have been stated that the initial consultation rather than waiting until the preoperative appointment and having the physician say I was not a candidate. I was told that I would receive full refund since this was the Physicians decision. Fast forward almost 3 months and I still have not received the refund I was told I would receive. I have called this practice numerous times and I've even gone into the office and have been given the runaround. I was told a refund for my payment was mailed out in February but after a month of waiting I still have not received it, the young lady I've been communicating with said that they would send out a new one and they would put a tracking number on it. Fast forward another month and I still have yet to receive my refund. I don't understand how they expect full payments for surgeries but, then when faced with having to refund that money they can't do so in a timely manner. This apparently is not the first time that this has happened to people requiring refunds for denied surgeries, though they've happened in other states. Unfortunately the next steps will be to go to the local news channels and if need be hire a lawyer. It's not like we're talkin a few hundred dollars, no this is several thousand dollars that these people are playing with.”

My first appointment, I wasn't seen until 2 hours after my scheduled time, I see the rep who is not a nurse, not a doctor and tells me that they can absolutely get rid of all the loose skin on my stomach. For the next 4 days I call, text and email to give them my money. $12,000 spent. Next, I meet my doctor the week before the procedure. He takes about 2 minutes with me then the nurse giving me a list of things I need to buy that costs almost $300. Why did I get the upgraded package?!?! Day of the surgery, it's 6am, it's just the doctor, a nurse and me. The surgery actually went well but I wake up wrapped in binders and no explanation of how to take them off and on. I come home and once the lidocaine wears off, I'm in the WORST pain in my life. I was also told I'd be back to work in 3 days. 3 weeks of teleworking later (because I couldn't sit up), I was told told I should have been off work for several weeks... o.0 I have 3 follow-up appointments, all with LPNs who tell me after my complaints that it's all normal. My binder wasn't even ordered until my 2 week check up. AFTER MONTHS of horrible pain, infections and pull inches of stitches that were pushing through my skin, I had to almost scream at a nurse to get me to have ONE follow-up with the doctor. He comes in, doesn't wash his hands. I make him put on glove. Here I am almost a year later and I am STILL in pain, the scar looks like I was in a horror movie, I'm completely lop-sided and none of my clothes fit anymore because the way my body is now disfigured. The manager called me about my complaint and said she would schedule an appointment with another surgeon to see if the issue could be resolved. That was supposed to be January 9th. Luckily, I called ahead because they had "no record of me having an appointment that day". The front desk said they would have the manager call me. Well, 2 weeks later, no call. $12000 to be worse than I was before, treated like crap and being avoided.”

“I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. I can't speak to the actual service they offer because I was never able to even learn about it. I arrived 30 minutes early to my consultation which was scheduled for 10:30 AM, filled out all the paperwork and waited. And waited. And waited. I came all the way from Yorktown and sat there for over an hour waiting. And every new person who came in after me went in and I waited. I asked how much longer and they said they only had 2 consultants and would get to me soon and then 5 more people came in and got called while I waited. I have read other reviews that mention similar issues, and it's true. The front desk staff is just pitiful. They don't offer water, or anything to make you more comfortable while you wait. They don't even keep you posted about what's the delay. Bottom line, I didn't feel comfortable enough to give this place my business. So I left.”

“Honestly the worst experience I've ever had. The only thing decent about this place was the staff. First they tried to overcharge me which took me months to get it resolved. Also I had to get a second procedure done which still didn't come out right. I have so many divots in my tummy. I even went to try and set up my 6 month post-op and they really said there was no need. Luckily was able to go to Associates in Plastic Surgery where Dr. Jacobs did an absolutely amazing job. He's was horrified by the amount of scare tissue left behind.”

“I’ve just begun with stage 1 of a 2 stage process and everyone has been amazing beginning with Liz for my consult. She answered every question I had and also all the questions I thought of after the apt. My preop apt with Lourette was great she answered my questions about the upcoming surgery and was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Dr. Centeno was amazing, smart, kind, professional and supportive. He made sure I was comfortable with my decision and I felt safe every step of the way. Alex was a wonderful nurse during my surgery very responsive before during and after surgery, knowledgeable, safe and kind. I had my first post op apt with Hadelyn and she was amazing. I brought my husband in with his questions as well she was so knowledgeable and patient with us and by time we left the office was closed. We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. I’m still healing and in the next 2 to 3 months I’ll be on to stage 2 with Dr. Centeno. Normally I would wait until I’ve completed my process to leave a review however every person from the front desk when I walked in to my post op apt has been so great I wanted to post while in process.”

Dr. Centeno aka “The Waist Snatcher” was my Dr!! He was absolutely awesome and I felt calm and safe during my whole procedure. The 1st 2 weeks after was very ruff, I was swollen, uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep good, itchy, but week 3, I felt so much better and was able to get some rest. The meds helped but I stopped taking everything after the 3rd week. Customer service was amazing and they send weekly videos to you so you know what to expect for the week. My nurse was great a well, I enjoyed the whole staff. Great place to go, highly recommended!!”

“First of all, the only thing good about this place, the staff is very friendly. That’s about it. You don’t see the Dr for the initial consultation, you see an office member. Not until you pay in full and the day of your surgery, do you meet the Dr. Dr Kaplan was great as well but according to all the info, there is little to no pain. Untrue. It was extremely painful. Then the compression garment they gave me was too big. I called and told them and they said a smaller one would be shipped out. It never was so I bought my own. My results after the swelling went down were some lumps and ripples. I came in to have the skin treatment done that’s included only to find out that I would have to purchase several more treatments to see good results, another couple thousand dollars. I was extremely unsatisfied and upset, asked to see the manager who never came in so I left. Also spoke with corporate who never got back to me. The office has since never called, never made a follow up appointment, nothing. I haven’t seen my Dr since the surgery. Haven’t heard from them since I expressed how unhappy I was. Bottom line, they want your money then they don’t care about after care, after affects. Period. Awful customer service. And too much money for what I got. I’ve had to pay several hundred dollars for lymphatic drainage massages to help with the lumps. Absolutely ridiculous. Also the wait time for each appointment is insane. I waited over an hour each appointment.”

I noticed at my follow up things weren't right but I was told I had to wait till 6 months, at my 6 month check up they told me I had to wait to my one year mark for it to be fully healed when I didn't like my results and I tried to check into it they told me it was too late when I was told I could call back and ask for a revision and have a different doctor nobody's ever contacted me back. This procedure is DEFINITELY NOT something that a patient should be awake for. Local anesthesia did not kill my pain receptors which made it very difficult to just lay there. “Dr. Kaplan is a excellent surgeon. His bedside manners, professionalism and work is awesome. However, the SONOBELLO brand/staff is far from that. The front desk staff and management are unorganized and lie to save face. I had a bad experience with one of the RNs. I contacted SONOBELLO customer relations supervisor to report the incident. I was promised a $100 gift card that I never received. The Office Manager from the Norfolk location called me to apologize for the Nurse behavior and promised she’d come out to speak to me and check on me at my next appointment. To this day I have not heard from nor seen the Office Manager. During one of my follow-up visits I discovered that the same RN had me purchase a $40 ointment that the doctor never recommended. I mentioned the ointment to the Office Manger and told her I needed to know if the Doctor actually wanted me using it. She told me to “definitely keep using it and send me pictures of your incision so I can personally send them to Dr Kaplan”. I never heard back from her. The most recent incident involved them booking me and another customer for surgeries one hour apart. While leaving my preop appointment I overheard the receptionist telling the other lady that they’d get her booked for her appointment since she was previously given a time and date but it wasn’t on the books. The time and date that the receptionist mentioned was same day as the date I was booked for and one hour apart from mine. The next day I got a call from the sales agent that booked my appointment. She offered me another surgery date and ironically she was able to offer me a lower price on an add-on I was interested in. I told her it was to close to the date for me to ask my driver to change their work schedule. We agreed that I’d keep the surgery date and time she’d given me. Less than 15 minutes later I get a text from the Norfolk office saying that there was a change in my surgeons schedule on my surgery date so they needed me to change my surgery date. I explained to them that I’d just talked to the sales rep and we agreed that I’d keep my original date and time. They offered other dates and asked if I could make them. After checking with my ride I told them that the other days were too short of notice so, I’d have to keep the original date and time they gave me. Fast forward to today(day before surgery), I get a test from one of the RNs saying that my check in time is xxxx. The time she gave me is 3hours later than what I’d previously booked for. I called to office to see what was going on. The receptionist said the surgery before mine is going to run longer than expected. I asked her when did they find that out. She side she didn’t know. It’s clear to me that they’ve had this planned since the day they discovered that they’d booked me and the other lady’s appointment too close together. This is the 3rd time that there have been issues with appointments after they’ve booked me. I respect honesty! So, they could’ve been straight forward and said we messed up and need to reschedule you. Instead, they chose to lie. I live two hours away from the surgery center so last minute changes are an inconvenience. I’ll be glad to get the last part of my procedure over with. I hate that I’ll have to have four follow-up appointments with them. I highly recommend Dr Kaplan but the only way I’d chose him again is if he have a private practice outside of SONOBELLO.”

“I am currently 12 days post op from the TrisculptEX procedure. I had a great experience with them leading to surgery. On surgery day my nurse was wonderful. Procedure went great. After getting home the first week of recovery was very difficult which is expected. My main concern and greatest question is "Why no drains?" The swelling and fluid retention is the worst. I felt like my skin was going to break open. I do not feel like I drained well. I got a lymphatic massage 6 days post op (which was against the orders I was given but I was desperate for relief) I suffered the most that night but went to my 1 week appointment feeling much better which I attribute to the massage. I feel alone and unknowledgeable in this process most days but the periodic informational emails I receive from time to time help. I find myself seeking more info online daily and I did research ahead of time but it's very different once you're in it. I am pleased with my progress and I am happy with my new belly button because I was really nervous about it. I am looking forward to less swelling, bloating, and fluid retention so that I can really see my results. My belly is a bit bulgy right now. The fupa is gone but the upper and middle abdominal areas are protruding beyond what I would like to see. It's still early and I'm patient. Overall I am content with the services. I just think that I should have gotten drains. I forgot to ask on surgery day and when the meds wore off and I could think and see straight I was disappointed not to have them. I believe they could have progressed me further than where I am now. But I believe that I am in a better than expected level of healing right now, which is great!”

“My procedure was done last Thursday March 31st 2022. Their policy is that they contact you the next day to see how you're doing but I have not heard from anybody since I have my surgery done. I called them over 4 times I've text and I've left several voicemail messages and no one will return my calls they haven't even set me up for my 1 week Post-op surgery which is now past a week. It's like as soon as they get your money that is it they will not call you back they won't further any more of your health care or anything. I had laser lipo with skin removal done that means that I have stitches and still no one is answering my health and care questions even though that is what I paid them thousands of dollars to do. I now have to seek outside professional help from a surgeon in order to continue my care to make sure that I heal properly and that all my medical issues are addressed. My advice don't go anywhere near them they're going to take your money and as soon as they have your money that's it.
I should have known when they made me wait 1 1/2 hours just for my counseltation.”

“I was 70 years old when I had "the works" the end of January, 2020. I have had 5 back surgeries and am only able to work out in the water. At first I could go to the gym and I tightened my abs and lost 15 pounds. Then in March, the covid shutdown closed the gym. When I tried a workout at home, I flared up my back and had to go on steroids, which caused a 5 pound weight gain. I got a place on my midriff that was noticeably larger on my right side than the left. It is getting increasingly larger with time. It is very noticeable in a t-shirt. At my 6 month check up, I requested a consultation with Dr. Siegel. Two months later he checked it and said I probably should have worn my compression garment for longer than 6 months, and there was nothing he could do. I am still down 10 pounds from my pre-surgery weight. I was told by Liz during my initial consultation that if I weighed less at my 6-month checkup, I could have a revision. Now I look like a freak and down over $10,000. Staff is great and very caring, however, despite my disappointment.”

Results were not what they promised and when I went back for my follow up appointment I explained my dissatisfaction and they offered to schedule for a happy medium revision but never called to set up anything. They totally blew me off. I spent a lot of money to end up having the main areas that I was concerned about look exactly the same. Nurses were great but that doesn't change the fact that I feel my money was wasted. “I was very impressed from the moment I talked to Lisa at the Norfolk location. She was able to explain the process to me without pressure to move forward. She let me know that this was in fact a process and one that took time. I met Dr. Kaplan at my pre-op who explained what would happen and reinforced recovery time. He as well let me know that I needed to break down my requested areas into 2 sessions. Starting with upper and lower abdomen and pubic area then the waist and outer thighs a few weeks later. I had the first process in April and just had the second in September. I requested to wait until September so I could get through as much of the healing process as possible.
Anyone that is considering sono-bello go in with open eyes, you will feel pain during the recovery, and it takes time. The Norfolk location is great, and the staff was there to answer all my questions and any concerns. Dr Kaplan and the nurses were wonderful.

“For the last month I have been working to get an appointment booked for a consultation. Granted I do have a difficult schedule, but we were finally able to find an appt date and time that works. I waited 2 weeks for this appointment. I was asked to be there early to fill out paper work and I did. My appointment time was 11:15 and arrived just after at 11:00. After filling out paper work I was told that it would be 30 to 45 minutes before I’d be called back for my appointment. I was shocked, but agreed to wait anyways. I waited for over an hour. Finally at 12:25 I asked the receptionist if there was an estimated time that I’d be taken back seeing as how my appt was scheduled for over an hour ago. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to provide me with a time. I asked to use the restroom and said I could wait another 30 minutes as I had another appointment at 2pm. The receptionist was very sweet apologetic. I asked if this was normal or a fluke thing seeing as how many places are short staffed right now. I was told there was only one consultant working and she was running a bit behind. I waited another 15 minutes before the receptionist called me to the desk and told me that unfortunately the consultant was going to be quite a while and there was no chance they’d be able to see me before 1:30 which is when i would need to leave in order to make my next appt. Again, the receptionist was very sweet and was doing her best to help. She offered to reschedule me but honestly the whole experience is a little off putting. After speaking with several people in the lobby who were having the same experience I opted to not reschedule and will just take my business else where. I feel as though I was extremely patient and arrived early as asked. I think that same respect for my time should be given by a company I could potentially be handing thousands of dollars over to. No scene was made and I was equally as kind to the receptionist as she was to me. I just wanted to express my disappointment with my experience and maybe help someone else who was choosing between Sono Bello and another company. I’d be a lot more upset if the same things occurred leading up to my procedure or the day of.”

“Overall, SB Norfolk is a solid place. I had my procedure done last year with no complications; however, I did begin to notice some issues about two weeks post-op. I reached out to Deneen (Office Manager) and she immediately began assisting in rectifying the situation. I will be going in for revisions in the next two months. She went above and beyond to fix the wrongs of Brittney and assured me that if I have them a chance I would be 100%. satisfied. “This is a multi-level review of my procedures done over a year ago (July 2020)..
1. Customer service and intake: hands-down...the best!! No complaints. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. Follow-up: in-person...great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Virtual...not-so-much. No virtual follow-up although I had appointments, no one called or answered. Not good!! 🚫
3. Procedure: the procedure went well as I had no recovery issues. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4. Post-op/results: although the procedure went well.as I had no recovery issues...There are; however, healing/poor op issues. For one, gross uneveness. The surgeon did not do an acceptable job of balancing out the removal as there are multiple areas of obvious lumpiness and lopsidedness. Needless to say, the surgeon is no longer practicing at the facility. 🚫
Remedy: AWESOME, thus far! Deneen (Practice Manager) is getting me on the right path!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She is a heaven-send. She's been extremely patient as well as understanding with my ordeal. Without her...I'd still be at my wit's end with the company and more so...my body. Deneen has given me new-found hope!! Thanks so much! I will update my review as they happen. ❤️”
