“I had a great experience with Sono Bella for my preop visit and my consultation. Ariel during my consultation was thorough and explained things in detail. She took her time even though it was very late in the day.
Prop they were right on time and my nurse Carissa was again very thorough and explained things to me and provided handouts.
Dr Gilbert also came in and went over everything , explaining exactly what would happen. What changes he would recommend and that he will be splitting the procedure into 2 parts and the benefits of that.
Brittni at the desk helped to make sure my payments were going to process correctly and had me sign all the final paperwork.
In and out in one hour and 15 min”

The care and service they provide are second to none.
I was a little skeptical about the process and procedure, but once it was fully explained, I was totally at ease and on board.
The care and professionalism starts with the front receptionist team of Cherrisse, Naima, Toy, and Cari. They were genuine, caring and very professional.

The superb management crew of Deneen and Carissa really reflected the team, as a whole, nothing short of awesome.

Liz, my consultant is and was on point with the full explanation of the entire process from A to Z. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and passionate about the process of disseminating pertinent information to clients.

As for the Nurses, Alex, Brittni, Jessica, Laurette, Lauryn, Lisa, Kaitlyn: Registered Nurses: Carissa and Sydney, you will not meet a better team of medical professionals where their number one missiin is to you, the patient. The level of knowledge, care and compassion was nothing less of spectacular.

“Every single staff member has been professional and extremely welcoming and comforting. My wife had her procedure 10/20 and being an ER nurse herself, she was a bit nervous. However, Jessica got us right in, made me comfortable in the waiting area, which was nice a cool, I even took a nap. My wife says that Jessica explained everything single thing and answered all her questions..she made my wife feel very comfortable, which in turn gave her a great experience. She said she even dozed off during the procedure, which is an accomplishment, because she never does that. Once the procedure was over, I was escorted to her room and Jessica explained everything to a T. She is an amazing nurse and her bedside manner is phenomenal. I arrived at my appointment at 3:48 my appointment was 3:45 the office person said to me did you not get our text say arrive 15 mins early? So much attitude behind that first question then said well fill these out while I see if I can still take you. Huh?!?! I thought most Dr offices give a 15 min grace period?? So I asked if she wanted to check to see if she could take me before I wasted time filling out the paperwork l. She said again with attitude l I’m going to take you if you can fill outs the paperwork fast enough. Again so much rudeness attached. And No that is not what you said. I just said nevermind and walked out! It’s already a tough decision to make and the least the staff could do is be more inviting. SMH!!!”

“My experience with this office and consultation has been one I have totally regretted. I was seeking help with body sculpturing and the best procedure that could assist with getting the results I have craved as I life events occur. I have always been in to my health and the desire to look and feel better. I was looking forward to a procedure and services from sono bello team that gave the impression that they cared about my personal goal with my treatment plan. I was deemed it was not in my best interest to go forward with my procedure as I wasn't obese or at physical risk as some other clients. I met with my consultant and thought everything was legit and the sales pitch was amazing to which made me feel more than just a future client but very personable with the entire staff. Upon determining a date to have my procedure done I was made to feel that sono bello was completely in my best interest physical personal goals. Unfortunately, once receiving my down payment and prep for my procedure everything was all smiles but what transpired once the physician team determined I wouldn't be a good candidate to meet my goals as far as my appearance and physical desires I was told I would receive my refund as the doctor recommended this be initiated as I may not be satisfied with what I was requesting upon completion of this procedure. I was told by the staff and not to worry that a refund would be initiated and would be receive this within 30-45 days. So with such a large sum of money I was not comfortable with that response but I trusted there accounting and billing process as to what was conveyed to me as assurance. I am writing this to say that time period has elapsed and I have yet to receive a payment from the business nor has anyone of authority at this location has given a proper response but my refund is still in the limbo. I have called various office as well as 1-800's to get any insight as to if and when I should receive my refund and it what form. I have received ZERO response from any manager or staff as to just say be patient with my own money. Really!!

I hope no one else experiences this and make sure you ask pertinent questions if you ever visit this location or this business as a whole because, they will tell you be patient or someone will reach out to you but you will surely be at the mercy of this business when they get to your claim.

I can honestly say that I had heard of Sono Bello for years and I just thought they had longevity in this industry and there reputation was of good value for the client. So not the case... Beware if you fall in to a such a criteria as you may not be told of the difficulty getting your refund upon signing the contract for the procedure.”

She was wonderful when the surgeon was present, and I adored my surgeon, Dr. G- but my whole experience was pretty clouded by the treatment I received from my nurse sadly.”

But when Liz called me to the back and proceeded with the consultation, she really put me at ease. She apologized for the wait as well. Liz really made me feel comfortable with my body, the process and what Sono Bello can do for me. I wasn't rushed or pressured to make a decision. Her knowledge of the financial process and the patience to explain the process was top tier. Her personality was so warm, I felt "at home".

“where is the 0 stars? if you're looking for excellent or even good customer service, don't go here! despite all the bad reviews out there, I had a good experience at Sono Bello Norfolk, before Covid. It is no longer the same. Why has everything since Covid changed? People no longer return phone calls. In June, I went in and spoke to Ariel, the sales manager. Who was very nice. I agreed to have the doctor "stage me" for certain areas that I wanted done. She wanted to put me with Dr. G because he had worked on her family, and she had nothing but good things to say about him. At my preop appointment, the nurse was snarky. Made my husband feel very uncomfortable for sitting too close to the door. After meeting with Dr Gilbert , he completely changed up everything that was to be done. They had me sign papers and didn't give me any copies. Next thing I know I see charges in the amount of nearly $20,000 on two credit accounts! I should have been nervous and excited for surgery the next day. instead, I was nervous and ambivalent. However, I thought maybe they were having a bad day so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I was told I'm going to get the doctors cell phone number for contact. At checkout, the receptionist seemed very confused and asked if the amount on the papers was correct. Should they not know this? I didn’t receive copies of any of that paperwork.
I prayed the next day that I would have a different nurse. The next morning, met at the door by nurse Lauren, who is very friendly. She stayed with me through the whole procedure. Having been a nurse myself, I question why no IV antibiotic. She tells me that they don't do the IV unless they're taking skin. But they're still cutting skin!
So I go through the procedure after the doctor telling me he's going to contact me the next day. My husband was left out front so he assumed they were giving instructions to him. I received medication to put me in light sedation, but I felt a lot more pain this time. I also noticed after the procedure that it doesn’t appear like they used betadine for skin prep. Thought it was a standard of care in an OR setting.
I had my procedure on a Thursday. I received no phone calls on Friday. Over the weekend, I looked for the Dr’s number because I had a medical concern. After looking through the paperwork that I had, I realize they didn’t give me anything from the preop appointment. I didn't have his phone number anywhere! Attempts to call the office only received voicemail. I waited and still no follow-up calls.
On Postop day 5, I finally reached the office and explained the situation. I can't get through to the practice manager or Ariel, the sales manager. I called the ambassador team and they try to put me through to either Lauren or Dr. G. They attempt to put me on with the nurse from preop! I don't want to deal with this office anymore. After six attempts to reach the doctor he finally called me from his cell phone. I explained to him that I will not be coming back into that office. He apologizes for not following up.
After not having received any follow up calls from the practice manager, I file a review and a complaint, with the Better Business Bureau and dispute all the charges. After the preop appointment, they charge me $20,000 for everything I had planned to do. I have not had any of it done!!! And where did my $2500 deposit go? I am not paying what they're charging me! As a human being and a medical professional, I am appalled that I have not heard back from anyone! I didn't receive a second stage garment or any follow up. So that needs to be taken into account. Please for your sanity do not go to this office!!!
I should have gone somewhere else. But because of my past experience with the place, I told myself it was going to be great again. But the customer service is nonexistent. Now I have to dispute 2 credit accounts, and waiting to hear back from my Better Business Bureau complaint. I will follow up this review if I ever hear back from anyone to resolve this. Pigs may fly first!”

“It’s been 6 days since my surgery I got lipo on my upper and lower abdomen and the abEx, had I’d known about Sono Bello a few years ago I would have BEEN came. I’m still swollen but can see a huge difference especially in my waistline. I’m very much satisfied with my results so far. My Dr was Dr.Herrera and my nurse was Alex, both had proper bedside manners that’s a plus for me because I needed to feel comfortable in a situation like that and they made me feel very comfortable. Everything was explained to me detail by detail I’m normally a scary person but I wasn’t scared or nervous actually during my procedure I laughed a lot because it felt like I was being tickled. By everyone’s tolerance won’t be the same I will say that. My Dr checked up on me by phn just as he said he would and I’m looking fwd to my 1st post op appointment next week.”

“I sure wish I would have read these reviews before I wasted my time driving here. My appointment was supposed to be at 1:30pm today and I was asked to be there at 1:15pm. I was there on time. I was also told consultation would take 45 mins. Several people came in after me and were seen. I finally went up to the desk at 2:00pm and I asked when I would be seen and was it normal for appointments to be running behind. The receptionist was friendly, but she mentioned she “thought” it would be at least another 45 minutes before I was actually seen. She really wasn’t sure. So I have already taken time out of my day and still wasn’t sure when I was going to be seen. This is unprofessional to me. Here’s a thought…if appointments are running behind, inform patients coming in and give them the opportunity to reschedule rather than having them sit there and assume they have all day to be waiting around. Ridiculous…I left!”

“I normally don't give a review unless the service or my experience was horrible but I had to this time, after so many negative reviews I've read. I am a week out from my procedure which was done on 3/23/23 I've always wanted to get my stomach done because I felt like nothing I did help so I started looking at other doctors and watching how they did the procedure but was too scared to follow through. My biggest fear was going under general anesthesia and not waking up and having a drainage tube "A definite NO for me" Somehow I came cross Sonobello first thing I did was read reviews, and followed their IG page. I seen so many amazing results but no one in our area, and not too many reviews to go off of so I decided to do my research. I went for a consultation and that went well "with Liz" she did not try to sale me anything I didn't ask for and was so sweet and fun to talk to. At the time of visit I discussed upper lower abdomen and sides. I went home thought on it and did more research. I watched several YouTube video's and I made my mind up. Paid my deposit had my Pre opt done by nurse Carissa, very nice and sweet person who answer or returned my calls to answer any questions i had before my procedure. I met Carissa and Dr. Gilbert my surgeon at the same time. He came in told me how the procedure would go and asked if I had questions, I discussed my concerns and he explained everything to me. Very nice and soft spoken guy. I actually added on my bra rolls after speaking to Dr. Gilbert "my choice" because i wanted to knock everything out at once. After meeting with Dr
Gilbert I even did my research on him and seen how many years of experience he had and was happy they paired him with me. Day of procedure everything went as planned I actually started 30 mins early, I was greeted by my nurse Laurette who was fantastic! Super sweet girl. She explained everything she was doing before hand. During the procedure I did not feel much of anything maybe like 2 little pinches near my rib not even the numbing part.The cocktails they gave me had me so in and out of sleep the 2 pinches didn't really bother me. He asked where did I feel it at I pointed and went back to sleep lol I don't know what else was said but I do remember him telling me to move about and to stand up one time but beside that the cocktail did its job! I cant say I have a high tolerance for pain because I don't I can bare pain to a certain extent. Even days following the procedure I was just sore and stiff no major pain, mainly after getting up and out of bed and when sitting and standing up. Im still a little sore, swollen and bruised but nothing major. I have been up and mobile since the night of my procedure. I have not had one negative experience with this company or the staff even down to the front desk staff. They answered my questions and wasn't rude not one time to me. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of my nurse today at my 1 week appointment but she was sweet as well. I almost forgot! The day of my procedure i went home and i got sick from the pain meds which i knew would happened because strong meds like that does that to me but i was light headed and vomiting, i called Dr Gilbert he answered first call and explained to me that was a side effect of the meds and to use extra strength Tylenol instead. We hung up and he called right back to make sure i had some with me and told me to rest. The next day he called me early in the morning to check up on me to see how i was doing and to make sure i follow all post procedure instructions. I also received a call on Monday from someone at Sonobello to check on me and to make sure everything was going smooth. One thing i learned in my adult years is you can't satisfy everyone and it's always gonna be someone who has something negative to say or unhappy about something, So do your research and don't just go off others opinions. My experience has been GREAT! Dr. Gilbert and my team was amazing! and I'm am happy I had the team I had and I decided to follow my gut.”

My preop apt with Lourette was great she answered my questions about the upcoming surgery and was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Dr. Centeno was amazing, smart, kind, professional and supportive. He made sure I was comfortable with my decision and I felt safe every step of the way. Alex was a wonderful nurse during my surgery very responsive before during and after surgery, knowledgeable, safe and kind. I had my first post op apt with Hadelyn and she was amazing. I brought my husband in with his questions as well she was so knowledgeable and patient with us and by time we left the office was closed. We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. I’m still healing and in the next 2 to 3 months I’ll be on to stage 2 with Dr. Centeno. Normally I would wait until I’ve completed my process to leave a review however every person from the front desk when I walked in to my post op apt has been so great I wanted to post while in process.
Update: Completed stage 2 the last week of December and still think Dr Centeno is amazing he even called a couple times after the surgery to check on me. My experience with the office wasn’t as smooth the 2nd time which was a bit stressful. I again reached out to Liz for assistance and she straightened everything out within a couple hours. While at my preop apt they were unable to find my record initially, then the billing person came in with it saying I owed more money and she couldn’t find my apt. Alex was my nurse and found the paperwork in my record stating what I paid for and Liz fixed the scheduling. All worked out in the end but like I said it was stressful. I had the abex, thighs, and knees. I will say that the biggest impact is the hips and abex for sure. The thighs and knees aren’t as huge a difference. I see it more in the fit of my clothes than overtly obvious but I get it. If you take too much from the thighs you would end up with really loose skin and Dr Centeno let me know that ahead of the procedure. The lipo on the thighs hurt apparently a really sensitive area and the recovery from the abex was more difficult than the hips by far. It was difficult to stand up straight for at least a week or two which makes sense because of what the surgery is. It took a sec after standing to stretch out. One thing I didn’t think of was that I would end up with a new belly button. I don’t know if that happens for everyone but it never occurred to me to ask. Hadeyln has been amazing and supportive. She has answered all my questions and offered great suggestions for healing. Overall everything turned out great and I am really happy with the results and Dr Centeno.”

“I almost didn’t do the liposuction and AbEx procedure because of the patient care consultant. She was not one bit comforting but was very aggressive about getting my money. They wanted me to pay around $8000, and I hadn’t even talked to a doctor or medical
Professional yet. When I voiced concerns about the AbEx she said if we take the AbEx off then the price will change!!!!! I’m sure not for the better. I was feeling price gouged and pressured! Especially after reading all the BBB complaints about not getting your money back. Any way I had done research and I wanted the sono bello procedure for the downtime as opposed to a regular tummy tuck so I really didnt have to be sold on it. I gave them $2500 but didn’t want to give more until I saw a doctor. I was on vacation when I got a message saying sono bello was going to charge another $4500. I still hadn’t seen a medical person. Apparently I had signed a payment plan in the papers that I signed and I had the payment date wrong. I thought it was the same day I saw the doctor. “My initial thoughts on this practice were great. Fast forward several weeks and my surgery was denied due to an allergy. I can live with that, however, this is something that could have been stated that the initial consultation rather than waiting until the preoperative appointment and having the physician say I was not a candidate. I was told that I would receive full refund since this was the Physicians decision. Fast forward almost 3 months and I still have not received the refund I was told I would receive. I have called this practice numerous times and I've even gone into the office and have been given the runaround. I was told a refund for my payment was mailed out in February but after a month of waiting I still have not received it, the young lady I've been communicating with said that they would send out a new one and they would put a tracking number on it. Fast forward another month and I still have yet to receive my refund. I don't understand how they expect full payments for surgeries but, then when faced with having to refund that money they can't do so in a timely manner. This apparently is not the first time that this has happened to people requiring refunds for denied surgeries, though they've happened in other states. Unfortunately the next steps will be to go to the local news channels and if need be hire a lawyer. It's not like we're talkin a few hundred dollars, no this is several thousand dollars that these people are playing with.”

I went from having an embarrassing , uncomfortable double roll stomach to a COMPLETELY flat stomach!! I experienced moderate pain with the procedure but it was more than worth it! I have to give a shout out to Dr. Kaplan for his amazing bed side manner and talented hands, also to 3 members of the staff that went above and beyond - Jessica, Hadelyn and Lisa! They have such great personalities and are so professional! If you’re thinking about doing this, don’t hesitate!”

“I came in at 2pm for a 2:15pm appointment only to be told after filling out over 5 pages of paperwork that I wouldn't be able to be seen until 2:45pm. After waiting i was finally called around 3pm.. the reason I scheduled the consultation was not once addressed or asked about, I was only told about a more invasive, more expensive procedure I never considered getting. I wrapped the consultation up rather quickly but overall it was a waste & ill never return.”

“Seriously your office isthe entire reason why so many Hampton Roads citizens prefer travel to other Locations because the marketing BMI lies & fees schedules are undisclosed with rude professional bias & prolific waiting rooms times. I actually heard an office clerk get nasty with a senior citizen mom.
The surgery fees you bill alone isn't worth the deplorable professional ethics you have to deal with as they assume as if people have dynamically lost their common sense.😏 From a medical ethic stand point I find it Culturally abtrusive to make patients wait in any waiting room for 3hrs...Namaste~”

The only suggestion I have is maybe have information sessions
to explain the things that you can expect or what can help you recover along the way. There is no way that the doctor can explain everything in your appointment but having a group information session may help to give more information. “RUN AWAY!
My first appointment, I wasn't seen until 2 hours after my scheduled time, I see the rep who is not a nurse, not a doctor and tells me that they can absolutely get rid of all the loose skin on my stomach. For the next 4 days I call, text and email to give them my money. $12,000 spent. Next, I meet my doctor the week before the procedure. He takes about 2 minutes with me then the nurse giving me a list of things I need to buy that costs almost $300. Why did I get the upgraded package?!?! Day of the surgery, it's 6am, it's just the doctor, a nurse and me. The surgery actually went well but I wake up wrapped in binders and no explanation of how to take them off and on. I come home and once the lidocaine wears off, I'm in the WORST pain in my life. I was also told I'd be back to work in 3 days. 3 weeks of teleworking later (because I couldn't sit up), I was told told I should have been off work for several weeks... o.0 I have 3 follow-up appointments, all with LPNs who tell me after my complaints that it's all normal. My binder wasn't even ordered until my 2 week check up. AFTER MONTHS of horrible pain, infections and pull inches of stitches that were pushing through my skin, I had to almost scream at a nurse to get me to have ONE follow-up with the doctor. He comes in, doesn't wash his hands. I make him put on glove. Here I am almost a year later and I am STILL in pain, the scar looks like I was in a horror movie, I'm completely lop-sided and none of my clothes fit anymore because the way my body is now disfigured. The manager called me about my complaint and said she would schedule an appointment with another surgeon to see if the issue could be resolved. That was supposed to be January 9th. Luckily, I called ahead because they had "no record of me having an appointment that day". The front desk said they would have the manager call me. Well, 2 weeks later, no call. $12000 to be worse than I was before, treated like crap and being avoided.”

“I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. I can't speak to the actual service they offer because I was never able to even learn about it. I arrived 30 minutes early to my consultation which was scheduled for 10:30 AM, filled out all the paperwork and waited. And waited. And waited. I came all the way from Yorktown and sat there for over an hour waiting. And every new person who came in after me went in and I waited. I asked how much longer and they said they only had 2 consultants and would get to me soon and then 5 more people came in and got called while I waited. I have read other reviews that mention similar issues, and it's true. The front desk staff is just pitiful. They don't offer water, or anything to make you more comfortable while you wait. They don't even keep you posted about what's the delay. Bottom line, I didn't feel comfortable enough to give this place my business. So I left.”

“Honestly the worst experience I've ever had. The only thing decent about this place was the staff. First they tried to overcharge me which took me months to get it resolved. Also I had to get a second procedure done which still didn't come out right. I have so many divots in my tummy. I even went to try and set up my 6 month post-op and they really said there was no need. Luckily was able to go to Associates in Plastic Surgery where Dr. Jacobs did an absolutely amazing job. He's was horrified by the amount of scare tissue left behind.”

“I’ve just begun with stage 1 of a 2 stage process and everyone has been amazing beginning with Liz for my consult. She answered every question I had and also all the questions I thought of after the apt. My preop apt with Lourette was great she answered my questions about the upcoming surgery and was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Dr. Centeno was amazing, smart, kind, professional and supportive. He made sure I was comfortable with my decision and I felt safe every step of the way. Alex was a wonderful nurse during my surgery very responsive before during and after surgery, knowledgeable, safe and kind. I had my first post op apt with Hadelyn and she was amazing. I brought my husband in with his questions as well she was so knowledgeable and patient with us and by time we left the office was closed. We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. I’m still healing and in the next 2 to 3 months I’ll be on to stage 2 with Dr. Centeno. Normally I would wait until I’ve completed my process to leave a review however every person from the front desk when I walked in to my post op apt has been so great I wanted to post while in process.”

Dr. Centeno aka “The Waist Snatcher” was my Dr!! He was absolutely awesome and I felt calm and safe during my whole procedure. The 1st 2 weeks after was very ruff, I was swollen, uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep good, itchy, but week 3, I felt so much better and was able to get some rest. The meds helped but I stopped taking everything after the 3rd week. Customer service was amazing and they send weekly videos to you so you know what to expect for the week. My nurse was great a well, I enjoyed the whole staff. Great place to go, highly recommended!!”

“First of all, the only thing good about this place, the staff is very friendly. That’s about it. You don’t see the Dr for the initial consultation, you see an office member. Not until you pay in full and the day of your surgery, do you meet the Dr. Dr Kaplan was great as well but according to all the info, there is little to no pain. Untrue. It was extremely painful. Then the compression garment they gave me was too big. I called and told them and they said a smaller one would be shipped out. It never was so I bought my own. My results after the swelling went down were some lumps and ripples. I came in to have the skin treatment done that’s included only to find out that I would have to purchase several more treatments to see good results, another couple thousand dollars. I was extremely unsatisfied and upset, asked to see the manager who never came in so I left. Also spoke with corporate who never got back to me. The office has since never called, never made a follow up appointment, nothing. I haven’t seen my Dr since the surgery. Haven’t heard from them since I expressed how unhappy I was. Bottom line, they want your money then they don’t care about after care, after affects. Period. Awful customer service. And too much money for what I got. I’ve had to pay several hundred dollars for lymphatic drainage massages to help with the lumps. Absolutely ridiculous. Also the wait time for each appointment is insane. I waited over an hour each appointment.”

I noticed at my follow up things weren't right but I was told I had to wait till 6 months, at my 6 month check up they told me I had to wait to my one year mark for it to be fully healed when I didn't like my results and I tried to check into it they told me it was too late when I was told I could call back and ask for a revision and have a different doctor nobody's ever contacted me back. The only reason why I'm giving a 2 star is because at least the nurses I had were nice.”

My nurse Jess had a very bubbly sense of humor, which helped calm my nerves tremendously. The only thing that the providers should reconsider is the sedation. This procedure is DEFINITELY NOT something that a patient should be awake for. Local anesthesia did not kill my pain receptors which made it very difficult to just lay there. General anesthesia or twilight is best! Other than that I will say aside from the soreness I feel okay. And although I’m swollen I can definitely see the difference already. “Dr. Kaplan is a excellent surgeon. His bedside manners, professionalism and work is awesome. However, the SONOBELLO brand/staff is far from that. The front desk staff and management are unorganized and lie to save face. I had a bad experience with one of the RNs. I contacted SONOBELLO customer relations supervisor to report the incident. I was promised a $100 gift card that I never received. The Office Manager from the Norfolk location called me to apologize for the Nurse behavior and promised she’d come out to speak to me and check on me at my next appointment. To this day I have not heard from nor seen the Office Manager. During one of my follow-up visits I discovered that the same RN had me purchase a $40 ointment that the doctor never recommended. I mentioned the ointment to the Office Manger and told her I needed to know if the Doctor actually wanted me using it. She told me to “definitely keep using it and send me pictures of your incision so I can personally send them to Dr Kaplan”. I never heard back from her. The most recent incident involved them booking me and another customer for surgeries one hour apart. While leaving my preop appointment I overheard the receptionist telling the other lady that they’d get her booked for her appointment since she was previously given a time and date but it wasn’t on the books. The time and date that the receptionist mentioned was same day as the date I was booked for and one hour apart from mine. The next day I got a call from the sales agent that booked my appointment. She offered me another surgery date and ironically she was able to offer me a lower price on an add-on I was interested in. I told her it was to close to the date for me to ask my driver to change their work schedule. We agreed that I’d keep the surgery date and time she’d given me. Less than 15 minutes later I get a text from the Norfolk office saying that there was a change in my surgeons schedule on my surgery date so they needed me to change my surgery date. I explained to them that I’d just talked to the sales rep and we agreed that I’d keep my original date and time. They offered other dates and asked if I could make them. After checking with my ride I told them that the other days were too short of notice so, I’d have to keep the original date and time they gave me. Fast forward to today(day before surgery), I get a test from one of the RNs saying that my check in time is xxxx. The time she gave me is 3hours later than what I’d previously booked for. I called to office to see what was going on. The receptionist said the surgery before mine is going to run longer than expected. I asked her when did they find that out. She side she didn’t know. It’s clear to me that they’ve had this planned since the day they discovered that they’d booked me and the other lady’s appointment too close together. This is the 3rd time that there have been issues with appointments after they’ve booked me. I respect honesty! So, they could’ve been straight forward and said we messed up and need to reschedule you. Instead, they chose to lie. I live two hours away from the surgery center so last minute changes are an inconvenience. I’ll be glad to get the last part of my procedure over with. I hate that I’ll have to have four follow-up appointments with them. I highly recommend Dr Kaplan but the only way I’d chose him again is if he have a private practice outside of SONOBELLO.”

“I am currently 12 days post op from the TrisculptEX procedure. I had a great experience with them leading to surgery. On surgery day my nurse was wonderful. Procedure went great. After getting home the first week of recovery was very difficult which is expected. My main concern and greatest question is "Why no drains?" The swelling and fluid retention is the worst. I felt like my skin was going to break open. I do not feel like I drained well. I got a lymphatic massage 6 days post op (which was against the orders I was given but I was desperate for relief) I suffered the most that night but went to my 1 week appointment feeling much better which I attribute to the massage. I feel alone and unknowledgeable in this process most days but the periodic informational emails I receive from time to time help. I find myself seeking more info online daily and I did research ahead of time but it's very different once you're in it. I am pleased with my progress and I am happy with my new belly button because I was really nervous about it. I am looking forward to less swelling, bloating, and fluid retention so that I can really see my results. My belly is a bit bulgy right now. The fupa is gone but the upper and middle abdominal areas are protruding beyond what I would like to see. It's still early and I'm patient. Overall I am content with the services. I just think that I should have gotten drains. I forgot to ask on surgery day and when the meds wore off and I could think and see straight I was disappointed not to have them. I believe they could have progressed me further than where I am now. But I believe that I am in a better than expected level of healing right now, which is great!”

“My procedure was done last Thursday March 31st 2022. Their policy is that they contact you the next day to see how you're doing but I have not heard from anybody since I have my surgery done. I called them over 4 times I've text and I've left several voicemail messages and no one will return my calls they haven't even set me up for my 1 week Post-op surgery which is now past a week. It's like as soon as they get your money that is it they will not call you back they won't further any more of your health care or anything. I had laser lipo with skin removal done that means that I have stitches and still no one is answering my health and care questions even though that is what I paid them thousands of dollars to do. I now have to seek outside professional help from a surgeon in order to continue my care to make sure that I heal properly and that all my medical issues are addressed. My advice don't go anywhere near them they're going to take your money and as soon as they have your money that's it.
I should have known when they made me wait 1 1/2 hours just for my counseltation.”

Now, let me tell y’all…from start to finish, the Norfolk office was nothing short of awesome!! The receptionists were very friendly and displayed professionalism and astute customer service. Additionally, nurse Alexandria exemplified a great depth of knowledge and exhibited tremendous care and concern. Dr. Centeno’s bedside manners were incompatible! His ability to listen and understand my needs and desires were impeccable. I mean, who doesn’t want a doctor that not only listens, but has the ability to convey that he understands and actually produces what was requested?!…(rhetorical question) Last but definitely not least!! “I was 70 years old when I had "the works" the end of January, 2020. I have had 5 back surgeries and am only able to work out in the water. At first I could go to the gym and I tightened my abs and lost 15 pounds. Then in March, the covid shutdown closed the gym. When I tried a workout at home, I flared up my back and had to go on steroids, which caused a 5 pound weight gain. I got a place on my midriff that was noticeably larger on my right side than the left. It is getting increasingly larger with time. It is very noticeable in a t-shirt. At my 6 month check up, I requested a consultation with Dr. Siegel. Two months later he checked it and said I probably should have worn my compression garment for longer than 6 months, and there was nothing he could do. I am still down 10 pounds from my pre-surgery weight. I was told by Liz during my initial consultation that if I weighed less at my 6-month checkup, I could have a revision. Now I look like a freak and down over $10,000. Staff is great and very caring, however, despite my disappointment.”

Results were not what they promised and when I went back for my follow up appointment I explained my dissatisfaction and they offered to schedule for a happy medium revision but never called to set up anything. They totally blew me off. I spent a lot of money to end up having the main areas that I was concerned about look exactly the same. Nurses were great but that doesn't change the fact that I feel my money was wasted. “I was very impressed from the moment I talked to Lisa at the Norfolk location. She was able to explain the process to me without pressure to move forward. She let me know that this was in fact a process and one that took time. I met Dr. Kaplan at my pre-op who explained what would happen and reinforced recovery time. He as well let me know that I needed to break down my requested areas into 2 sessions. Starting with upper and lower abdomen and pubic area then the waist and outer thighs a few weeks later. I had the first process in April and just had the second in September. I requested to wait until September so I could get through as much of the healing process as possible.
Anyone that is considering sono-bello go in with open eyes, you will feel pain during the recovery, and it takes time. The Norfolk location is great, and the staff was there to answer all my questions and any concerns. Dr Kaplan and the nurses were wonderful.
On another note, you’re never too old for self improvement, I’m in my 70s”

“For the last month I have been working to get an appointment booked for a consultation. Granted I do have a difficult schedule, but we were finally able to find an appt date and time that works. I waited 2 weeks for this appointment. I was asked to be there early to fill out paper work and I did. My appointment time was 11:15 and arrived just after at 11:00. After filling out paper work I was told that it would be 30 to 45 minutes before I’d be called back for my appointment. I was shocked, but agreed to wait anyways. I waited for over an hour. Finally at 12:25 I asked the receptionist if there was an estimated time that I’d be taken back seeing as how my appt was scheduled for over an hour ago. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to provide me with a time. I asked to use the restroom and said I could wait another 30 minutes as I had another appointment at 2pm. The receptionist was very sweet apologetic. I asked if this was normal or a fluke thing seeing as how many places are short staffed right now. I was told there was only one consultant working and she was running a bit behind. I waited another 15 minutes before the receptionist called me to the desk and told me that unfortunately the consultant was going to be quite a while and there was no chance they’d be able to see me before 1:30 which is when i would need to leave in order to make my next appt. Again, the receptionist was very sweet and was doing her best to help. She offered to reschedule me but honestly the whole experience is a little off putting. After speaking with several people in the lobby who were having the same experience I opted to not reschedule and will just take my business else where. I feel as though I was extremely patient and arrived early as asked. I think that same respect for my time should be given by a company I could potentially be handing thousands of dollars over to. No scene was made and I was equally as kind to the receptionist as she was to me. I just wanted to express my disappointment with my experience and maybe help someone else who was choosing between Sono Bello and another company. I’d be a lot more upset if the same things occurred leading up to my procedure or the day of.”

“Came in for 12 pm appt. Arrived early for consultation. After about 12:30pm I’ve Completed docs and still wasn’t called in. I checked back in with receptionist who explained Liz was still working with another client and would be ready in about 15 minutes or less.
Another member of the team Andrea saw me standing there waiting on the receptionist while she was on a call and Andrea did nothing. Andrea refused to look my way or acknowledge me until someone asked her to do so.

“I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Sono Bello. Several times I had said I wanted to take advantage of the interest free financing for the remaining balance due for my procedure. When I arrived the morning of (8:30 am for a 10:15 am appointment), I learned Sono Bello had charged my credit card two weeks prior without my authorization. The front desk also said I was early since my appointment wasn’t until 1:15pm. I corrected her saying my paperwork clearly states 10:15 am and was confirmed by the doctor and nurse two days earlier during my pre-op appointment. At 9:30 am I was taken back to a room and prepped for my procedure assuming the appointment time was corrected in their computer system. It was freezing in the room. So cold that the nurse couldn’t find a vein and she herself was shaking so badly to the point where she was having trouble with my IV port. I was left in the room for several hours not knowing why it was taking so long. The room was so cold that when I complained to the staff, they didn’t offer any type of comfort, and only responded that they too were freezing. Keep in mind, I’m in a hospital gown and a paper bikini. The staff was fully clothed. I finally got so cold I couldn’t take it anymore and went out to ask what was going on. It was not until then that I learned they were staying with the 1:15 pm procedure time. Why didn’t anyone tell me? A few staff said it was marked in my chart that I was notified via voicemail the day before. A message I never received. They sent the Patient Coordinator to talk to me. I explained everything that had happened. She offered little comfort. She did confirm that it truly was freezing in the room. Given the time of day, she suggested I stay another 1 ½ hours and have the procedure since I’m already there. The lack of communication and professionalism I experienced all morning left me with no confidence and zero trust with Sono Bello staff to continue with a major procedure such as this. So, I did leave.”

“Prior to consultation with Liz and pre-op with doctor Centeno I was skeptical about the results I could expect but feeling it was a last resort. Dr C talked about realistic expectations and the best options, he was open, honest and it was like he was starting my journey to better health with me. My procedure was split into two for max benefits and best results, and when I say best I mean best. After the first one I was already feeling way more confident, now only a week after part 2 and its even better than I thought I'd have even after surgery. My problem spots Ive had my entire life are gone, and i have the shape I always wanted but never thought I could have- and I'm just in the begining of the healing process. “A few months ago after my first procedure I was going to right a very negative review to this location. I was unsatisfied with my experience during my pre-op (I couldn’t cancel because I would lose my deposit) and I was completely distraught by my results after being told they were only able to take out 2L instead of 5L of fat. For my post op the nurse couldn’t even tell what type of procedure I had and couldn’t understand why they didn’t take more out, she also agreed this was not right. As someone who has had management experience in a similar environment what better than to address my concerns directly to the higher ups and so happy that I did. I want to give a huge thank you to Liz and the office manager Deneen who both stepped in immediately after contacting them to address these issues after having my first procedure. Deneen's level of concern was not only compassionate but sincere (not just for business). She wasn’t aware of what was going on but wasted no time addressing the concerns. “I was very excited when I initially went in for my consultation. I had the surgery 0ct 2020. At first I was happy with my results until I noticed one side was larger than the other. When it was time for my 3 month post op check up, I kept getting a text saying it was canceled. I texted back to see when I could reschedule. I wasn't seen until 3 months later when I called the the office to speak with someone since no one ever got back to me. Went in for a satisfaction consultation on June 11th, and I am STILL WAITING to hear back from someone. I've called twice and all I get is the receptionist saying she will send out an email and no one has gotten back to me yet. I have spent a lot of money to not be fully happy with my results and feel like no one cares after they have gotten paid. I need someone to reach out to me ASAP!”

“Let me tell you how things are really ran at Sono Bello. I’ve never experienced this poor customer service, besides my consultation with Brittney S, she is honestly TOO GOOD to work for this company. Brittney was the first person I met with and we discussed my areas I’d like to have treated and she set me up with a preop appointment where I actually meet the doctor and my surgery date. Although I strongly believe in meeting with a doctor before giving someone my money, I went ahead and paid for my procedure in full because I felt so comfortable with my consultation. I arrive to my preop appointment and there’s no one at the front desk so after ringing the bell 5 times, Brandon the front desk person checks me in with an attitude. Like I’m a burden to him. There was also another lady in the waiting area very upset over her results and came back to have another procedure to fix it!. Anyway, I’m taken back into one of the rooms to meet the doctor, the nurse very coldly tells me to strip down and put this paper bikini on. I wait for over an hour almost naked, excitement fading away as it has been over an hour, the doctor finally comes in to and I adored him but it was too late. The quality of customer service is POOR, besides the doctor and Brittney. It’s sad because I would do my procedure with him in a heartbeat if he were at a private practice. These corporate chains are not the way to go, ladies… this is your BODY! Do your research before you sign the dotted line.”

“Don’t waste your time at this location. Commuted an hour to this facility and was told that the doctor was behind for about two hours, but it may be sooner. I’m waiting…. Everyone else got seen, EXCEPT me. The lady at the desk calls me up after about and hour and a half, with two Starbucks gift cards in her hands and says “I’m sorry we’re going to have to reschedule you. The doctor won’t be able to see you today.” Like what in the world?! That’s so unprofessional. “It took me 1 year to save up for my procedure. Here's how things go are going so far...First off the communication in this place is horrible. Nothing flows smoothly!! The day of my pre op I was supposed to get a quote for a procedure I wanted to have after my initial procedure. They assured me Brittney would call...she never called.
During my pre op the Dr. Kaplan and Nurse Alaina were cool. They told me to pick my my meds from my pharmacy but Noone told me how or when to take the meds.
When I went to pick my medication up from the pharmacy it wasn't there. After a few hours the pharmacy located my meds at a whole different pharmacy even though I WROTE MY PHARMACY NAME AND ADDRESS DOWN.
My procedure was yesterday, the 25th. On the 23rd I realized, they didn't give me Arnica!!! Smh
I CALLED and the lady told me I should have started taking that.
The day of my procedure I received a message saying I needed to be there at 1pm but the office told me 12 noon . I was confused so I called the office and a lady told me to be there at 11:45. 3 minutes later a different lady calls and told me to be there at 11:30!! Anxiety started to set in.Once I got there, Dr. Kaplan was working with a different nurse. She was RUDE!! She was unwelcoming and short with me. She was frustrated that I had already taken my antibiotics and nausea meds but Noone told me when to take them and I've never had lipo before. She asked me the name of the meds but I had no clue...I just knew what they did. I asked her to check the paperwork and she said IT WASN'T IN MY FILE!! From then on she was rude.

I later found out they scheduled a 3rd procedure for the same day as mine so they pushed mine up but NOONE TOLD ME!!
Once my procedure was over they wrapped me in a garment and sent me on my way. Noone told me how long to wear the garment. I had to call and ask them!! So many people dropped the ball when it came to me. I felt like a number. It felt like all they wanted was the money and Noone actually cared about me. I'm disappointed. I have clients waiting
to see my outcome an hear how thngs went but I have very little good to say. Once I can take my garments off, I'll let everyone know ow if the Dr did a good job or not. I'll also keep everyone posted on how things continue to go for me. I want my upper and lower abs done but I'm so afraid they drop the ball again.”

“I was scheduled for a appointment for the beginning of June, when I first came there it was very warm and welcoming, I had Liz as my consultant and she seemed very genuine and helpful. After I paid more than 5000 dollars towards the procedure and she had me “locked it” , it was extremely hard to get in contact with anyone, I called time after time and also sent emails and didn’t get any response “ due to high volume calls”. Anything could happen to me and they made it hard to put my mind at ease. I was scheduled to get lipo in my back upper and lower and also mini tuck, and lipo in my chin. I called and told Liz assistant , that I wanted to cancel but I’ll get the chin lipo, I then asked her when will I get my refund cause I know dang well lipo in my chin doesn’t cost 5000, she said “ I won’t get anything back cause that’s what it cost” which is a lie! She sat there and played in my face so I canceled everything, how dare y’all!!! Please if you wanna get the body you want, go somewhere else , where you will be valued, respected and also told the truth! Very disappointed and sad, I can’t believe this happened to me!”

“Seriously not worth the money and time if you are an older person. I am 61 and can say that I truly saw little to no difference in any place other than my stomach. Thighs were my main concern and AFTER the procedure when I came back for my 6 mo. appt was told that the "inner thighs were the most difficult". Had I been told that BEFORE, I'm sure it would have made a difference in my decisions. I am very disappointed for the amount of money and time spent.”

“My consultant Liz sold me a dream. She had such great things to say about Dr. Kaplan. I don't know what happened with my surgery that my experience was so different than the majority of the reviews I read, but my experience was terrible. I felt everything throughout my procedure, the pain was excruciating. I was jabbed with the metal cannula in my left hip and have pain in my hip daily. I developed a seroma so large that it burst through my incision 4 weeks post-op. A week and a half later, it is still oozing. My incision looks like Dr. Kaplan was in a rush to get to his 2nd surgery of the day and hurried through it. I will actually have to have this repaired later but I cannot until I am fully healed. When I asked if it is safe, of course she said yes. I found it odd that they didn’t require you to be cleared by a physician before undergoing the procedure. Liz was very quick to tell me how busy they were and how great the doctor was. My free consultation went from free to paying the $1995 surgical fee to hold my date. After talking to my mom and my best friend, they encouraged me to see my primary care doctor to see if this was actually a safe procedure for me. We found reviews online and on the BBB website that really had us all concerned as well. When I met with my physician, she told me this would not be a good procedure for me and to not undergo it due to underlying health issues I suffer from. I immediately called and emailed Sono Bello to cancel the procedure. I explained to Liz that I needed to cancel. At that point she told me the $1995 surgical fee was non-refunadable. Really? A surgical fee not refundable...I didn’t even undergo the procedure. They even charged me the balance of the procedure. I emailed Liz on several occasions requesting something in writing stating I had cancelled. She claimed to have sent it but I never received it. Her emails to me to try and get me to still have the procedure came through but not the cancellation form. Based on reviews and complaints against Sono Bello, this is their tactic. I would caution anyone that is considering undergoing this procedure to do your homework in advance of scheduling the “free” consultation they offer. She was able to get my surgery scheduled for that following Saturday September 12. I got liposuction in my abdomen (top& bottom) plus the ex, which is where the cut loose skin from your stomach after the lipo. I went home within 30 after my procedure in very little pain. I was up and walking the very next day which was Sunday and got a call from Dr. Kaplan that Sunday to see how I was doing. The entire process was just awesome. If you are thinking about having any cosmetic surgery please go see the wonderful staff at Sono Bello in Norfolk VA. I promise you, YOU WON'T REGET IT!!!!!”

“Had an appointment at 1245, I drove 45 minutes in the rain with my wife and kid to be there at 1235. We’ve been waiting till 1315 I had to leave because We had somewhere to be. What’s the point of giving appointment if no one is available? That waist of tine really changed my mood for the whole day . I think it’s disrespectful.
