“Any place where you walk in and they greet you by name…is the place you want to be! From the ladies at the front desk with their gorgeous smiles and happy demeanor…they make you feel right at home. I won’t attempt to spell their names here but…they are awesome. Finally, my most favorite nurse “Haddy”. I won’t see anyone but her! She is knowledgeable and personable. I would have to think really hard about severing my patient/nurse relationship just to date her! I’m just saying…she is that good of a nurse!”

“From my first appointment with Liz to my first procedure with Dr. Kaplan, everyone has been spectacular! Very friendly, helps you feel at ease, and responsive to all questions. Excited for my 2nd procedure in a couple of weeks.
The only suggestion I have is maybe have information sessions
to explain the things that you can expect or what can help you recover along the way. There is no way that the doctor can explain everything in your appointment but having a group information session may help to give more information. I have learned so much from an online group of patients who have a wealth of knowledge on what to expect. etc.”

Pre-op appointment went very well. Jessica did her part for the appointment and gathered the information for the doctor to review.
Jessica was professional, courteous and repeated herself when I needed it. She made this part of the process go smoothly with her calm demeanor.”

“RUN AWAY!
My first appointment, I wasn't seen until 2 hours after my scheduled time, I see the rep who is not a nurse, not a doctor and tells me that they can absolutely get rid of all the loose skin on my stomach. For the next 4 days I call, text and email to give them my money. $12,000 spent. Next, I meet my doctor the week before the procedure. He takes about 2 minutes with me then the nurse giving me a list of things I need to buy that costs almost $300. Why did I get the upgraded package?!?! Day of the surgery, it's 6am, it's just the doctor, a nurse and me. The surgery actually went well but I wake up wrapped in binders and no explanation of how to take them off and on. I come home and once the lidocaine wears off, I'm in the WORST pain in my life. I was also told I'd be back to work in 3 days. 3 weeks of teleworking later (because I couldn't sit up), I was told told I should have been off work for several weeks... o.0 I have 3 follow-up appointments, all with LPNs who tell me after my complaints that it's all normal. My binder wasn't even ordered until my 2 week check up. AFTER MONTHS of horrible pain, infections and pull inches of stitches that were pushing through my skin, I had to almost scream at a nurse to get me to have ONE follow-up with the doctor. He comes in, doesn't wash his hands. I make him put on glove. Here I am almost a year later and I am STILL in pain, the scar looks like I was in a horror movie, I'm completely lop-sided and none of my clothes fit anymore because the way my body is now disfigured. The manager called me about my complaint and said she would schedule an appointment with another surgeon to see if the issue could be resolved. That was supposed to be January 9th. Luckily, I called ahead because they had "no record of me having an appointment that day". The front desk said they would have the manager call me. Well, 2 weeks later, no call. $12000 to be worse than I was before, treated like crap and being avoided.”

“I went in today for my 1 week PO. OMG!! I am so glad Hadelyn was my PO nurse. She is so knowledgeable, loving, caring and compassionate. She made me feel good as Opposed to Britti on my day of the procedure. I had an emergency and had to see Dr Kaplan 4 days after the procedure and met Carrisa who is his like Hadelyn the sweetest EVER. BOTH of them ROCK and you feel the love and compassion they have. They take time to talk, answer your questions and ease your nerves. Now...Britti is definitely someone I would not care to cross paths again, the day of my surgery she was just cold and mind you I'm in there alone and she made you feel that way while prepping me for the procedure. I love Hadelyn & Carrissa pls continue to be there for me and others as Sonobello needs you ladies.”

“I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. I can't speak to the actual service they offer because I was never able to even learn about it. I arrived 30 minutes early to my consultation which was scheduled for 10:30 AM, filled out all the paperwork and waited. And waited. And waited. I came all the way from Yorktown and sat there for over an hour waiting. And every new person who came in after me went in and I waited. I asked how much longer and they said they only had 2 consultants and would get to me soon and then 5 more people came in and got called while I waited. I have read other reviews that mention similar issues, and it's true. The front desk staff is just pitiful. They don't offer water, or anything to make you more comfortable while you wait. They don't even keep you posted about what's the delay. Bottom line, I didn't feel comfortable enough to give this place my business. So I left.”

“Honestly the worst experience I've ever had. The only thing decent about this place was the staff. First they tried to overcharge me which took me months to get it resolved. Also I had to get a second procedure done which still didn't come out right. I have so many divots in my tummy. I even went to try and set up my 6 month post-op and they really said there was no need. Luckily was able to go to Associates in Plastic Surgery where Dr. Jacobs did an absolutely amazing job. He's was horrified by the amount of scare tissue left behind.”

“Jennifer my main therapist was great. Her bed side Manor put my mind at ease. The procedure went well and I got a lot of fat removed. The first portion of the procedure hurt a bit but once I was numb it was bare able. I even fell asleep. More to follow with recovery updates but I feel so much better. ”

We came in they brought us back we went through the preliminaries, and the nurse came in assessed everything took her pictures measured. And then they took the time to explain the Venus Massages to us. Long story short we both opted to have the massage done. I’m grateful for Hadelyn, Deneen, & Cherrise, their kindness and professionalism is very noticeable and certainly appreciated.”

“I’ve just begun with stage 1 of a 2 stage process and everyone has been amazing beginning with Liz for my consult. She answered every question I had and also all the questions I thought of after the apt. My preop apt with Lourette was great she answered my questions about the upcoming surgery and was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Dr. Centeno was amazing, smart, kind, professional and supportive. He made sure I was comfortable with my decision and I felt safe every step of the way. Alex was a wonderful nurse during my surgery very responsive before during and after surgery, knowledgeable, safe and kind. I had my first post op apt with Hadelyn and she was amazing. I brought my husband in with his questions as well she was so knowledgeable and patient with us and by time we left the office was closed. We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. I’m still healing and in the next 2 to 3 months I’ll be on to stage 2 with Dr. Centeno. Normally I would wait until I’ve completed my process to leave a review however every person from the front desk when I walked in to my post op apt has been so great I wanted to post while in process.”

“Roukyia was great today!! I love her for my Venus treatment!! She took her time, and broke up as much scar tissue in our 1 hour session. She was very informative and super sweet. I book a 2nd session just because I enjoyed her service so much! Going to Sonobello was the best decision I ever made for myself I love what I see and I’m not even completely heeled!! Dr. Centeno aka “The Waist Snatcher” was my Dr!! He was absolutely awesome and I felt calm and safe during my whole procedure. The 1st 2 weeks after was very ruff, I was swollen, uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep good, itchy, but week 3, I felt so much better and was able to get some rest. The meds helped but I stopped taking everything after the 3rd week. Customer service was amazing and they send weekly videos to you so you know what to expect for the week. My nurse was great a well, I enjoyed the whole staff. Great place to go, highly recommended!!”

“First of all, the only thing good about this place, the staff is very friendly. That’s about it. You don’t see the Dr for the initial consultation, you see an office member. Not until you pay in full and the day of your surgery, do you meet the Dr. Dr Kaplan was great as well but according to all the info, there is little to no pain. Untrue. It was extremely painful. Then the compression garment they gave me was too big. I called and told them and they said a smaller one would be shipped out. It never was so I bought my own. My results after the swelling went down were some lumps and ripples. I came in to have the skin treatment done that’s included only to find out that I would have to purchase several more treatments to see good results, another couple thousand dollars. I was extremely unsatisfied and upset, asked to see the manager who never came in so I left. Also spoke with corporate who never got back to me. The office has since never called, never made a follow up appointment, nothing. I haven’t seen my Dr since the surgery. Haven’t heard from them since I expressed how unhappy I was. Bottom line, they want your money then they don’t care about after care, after affects. Period. Awful customer service. And too much money for what I got. I’ve had to pay several hundred dollars for lymphatic drainage massages to help with the lumps. Absolutely ridiculous. Also the wait time for each appointment is insane. I waited over an hour each appointment.”

I noticed at my follow up things weren't right but I was told I had to wait till 6 months, at my 6 month check up they told me I had to wait to my one year mark for it to be fully healed when I didn't like my results and I tried to check into it they told me it was too late when I was told I could call back and ask for a revision and have a different doctor nobody's ever contacted me back. The only reason why I'm giving a 2 star is because at least the nurses I had were nice.”

My nurse Jess had a very bubbly sense of humor, which helped calm my nerves tremendously. The only thing that the providers should reconsider is the sedation. This procedure is DEFINITELY NOT something that a patient should be awake for. Local anesthesia did not kill my pain receptors which made it very difficult to just lay there. General anesthesia or twilight is best! Other than that I will say aside from the soreness I feel okay. And although I’m swollen I can definitely see the difference already. “Dr. Kaplan is a excellent surgeon. His bedside manners, professionalism and work is awesome. However, the SONOBELLO brand/staff is far from that. The front desk staff and management are unorganized and lie to save face. I had a bad experience with one of the RNs. I contacted SONOBELLO customer relations supervisor to report the incident. I was promised a $100 gift card that I never received. The Office Manager from the Norfolk location called me to apologize for the Nurse behavior and promised she’d come out to speak to me and check on me at my next appointment. To this day I have not heard from nor seen the Office Manager. During one of my follow-up visits I discovered that the same RN had me purchase a $40 ointment that the doctor never recommended. I mentioned the ointment to the Office Manger and told her I needed to know if the Doctor actually wanted me using it. She told me to “definitely keep using it and send me pictures of your incision so I can personally send them to Dr Kaplan”. I never heard back from her. The most recent incident involved them booking me and another customer for surgeries one hour apart. While leaving my preop appointment I overheard the receptionist telling the other lady that they’d get her booked for her appointment since she was previously given a time and date but it wasn’t on the books. The time and date that the receptionist mentioned was same day as the date I was booked for and one hour apart from mine. The next day I got a call from the sales agent that booked my appointment. She offered me another surgery date and ironically she was able to offer me a lower price on an add-on I was interested in. I told her it was to close to the date for me to ask my driver to change their work schedule. We agreed that I’d keep the surgery date and time she’d given me. Less than 15 minutes later I get a text from the Norfolk office saying that there was a change in my surgeons schedule on my surgery date so they needed me to change my surgery date. I explained to them that I’d just talked to the sales rep and we agreed that I’d keep my original date and time. They offered other dates and asked if I could make them. After checking with my ride I told them that the other days were too short of notice so, I’d have to keep the original date and time they gave me. Fast forward to today(day before surgery), I get a test from one of the RNs saying that my check in time is xxxx. The time she gave me is 3hours later than what I’d previously booked for. I called to office to see what was going on. The receptionist said the surgery before mine is going to run longer than expected. I asked her when did they find that out. She side she didn’t know. It’s clear to me that they’ve had this planned since the day they discovered that they’d booked me and the other lady’s appointment too close together. This is the 3rd time that there have been issues with appointments after they’ve booked me. I respect honesty! So, they could’ve been straight forward and said we messed up and need to reschedule you. Instead, they chose to lie. I live two hours away from the surgery center so last minute changes are an inconvenience. I’ll be glad to get the last part of my procedure over with. I hate that I’ll have to have four follow-up appointments with them. I highly recommend Dr Kaplan but the only way I’d chose him again is if he have a private practice outside of SONOBELLO.”

“I am currently 12 days post op from the TrisculptEX procedure. I had a great experience with them leading to surgery. On surgery day my nurse was wonderful. Procedure went great. After getting home the first week of recovery was very difficult which is expected. My main concern and greatest question is "Why no drains?" The swelling and fluid retention is the worst. I felt like my skin was going to break open. I do not feel like I drained well. I got a lymphatic massage 6 days post op (which was against the orders I was given but I was desperate for relief) I suffered the most that night but went to my 1 week appointment feeling much better which I attribute to the massage. I feel alone and unknowledgeable in this process most days but the periodic informational emails I receive from time to time help. I find myself seeking more info online daily and I did research ahead of time but it's very different once you're in it. I am pleased with my progress and I am happy with my new belly button because I was really nervous about it. I am looking forward to less swelling, bloating, and fluid retention so that I can really see my results. My belly is a bit bulgy right now. The fupa is gone but the upper and middle abdominal areas are protruding beyond what I would like to see. It's still early and I'm patient. Overall I am content with the services. I just think that I should have gotten drains. I forgot to ask on surgery day and when the meds wore off and I could think and see straight I was disappointed not to have them. I believe they could have progressed me further than where I am now. But I believe that I am in a better than expected level of healing right now, which is great!”

“My procedure was done last Thursday March 31st 2022. Their policy is that they contact you the next day to see how you're doing but I have not heard from anybody since I have my surgery done. I called them over 4 times I've text and I've left several voicemail messages and no one will return my calls they haven't even set me up for my 1 week Post-op surgery which is now past a week. It's like as soon as they get your money that is it they will not call you back they won't further any more of your health care or anything. I had laser lipo with skin removal done that means that I have stitches and still no one is answering my health and care questions even though that is what I paid them thousands of dollars to do. I now have to seek outside professional help from a surgeon in order to continue my care to make sure that I heal properly and that all my medical issues are addressed. My advice don't go anywhere near them they're going to take your money and as soon as they have your money that's it.
I should have known when they made me wait 1 1/2 hours just for my counseltation.”

“I have never been so unhappy with a business like this before. Second time rescheduled for a procedure. I had to stop my medications twice, 2 weeks prior. I was brought in for a pre-op, given procedure date and instructions and the first date they gave me was canceled do to schedule conflict and second date is now canceled 3 days before procedure because the doctor has plans to go out of town. You don’t run a business like this, I get things happen but when a patient takes off work, stops medications, buys pre procedure products and then canceled three days before is just unacceptable. I guess when you pay up front this is how you get treated.”

“I was 70 years old when I had "the works" the end of January, 2020. I have had 5 back surgeries and am only able to work out in the water. At first I could go to the gym and I tightened my abs and lost 15 pounds. Then in March, the covid shutdown closed the gym. When I tried a workout at home, I flared up my back and had to go on steroids, which caused a 5 pound weight gain. I got a place on my midriff that was noticeably larger on my right side than the left. It is getting increasingly larger with time. It is very noticeable in a t-shirt. At my 6 month check up, I requested a consultation with Dr. Siegel. Two months later he checked it and said I probably should have worn my compression garment for longer than 6 months, and there was nothing he could do. I am still down 10 pounds from my pre-surgery weight. I was told by Liz during my initial consultation that if I weighed less at my 6-month checkup, I could have a revision. Now I look like a freak and down over $10,000. Staff is great and very caring, however, despite my disappointment.”

“Disappointed for sure. Results were not what they promised and when I went back for my follow up appointment I explained my dissatisfaction and they offered to schedule for a happy medium revision but never called to set up anything. They totally blew me off. I spent a lot of money to end up having the main areas that I was concerned about look exactly the same. Nurses were great but that doesn't change the fact that I feel my money was wasted. The doctor main concern seemed to be with me writing a bad review which is why I waited almost a 6 months to see if they would follow up with me. NOTHING!!!”

“I had my consultation with Liz. She is amazing!! Knows her stuff and with a doubt was I comfortable from the start! Very soft spoken but very confident In herself with what she does. Liz didn’t make me feel embarrassed whatsoever when I had to take off my clothes for her to access my problem areas.
The front staff was also great! Very nice, helpful and willing to answer any questions. Works very hard at getting me registered and scheduling my pre-op and surgery date.
I must add while waiting in the lobby to be called back, the office manager walked through, styling and profiling!!! You def want to see that the ladies in the practice take pride in theirselves. Absolutely stunning!!!! Words can describe this woman!! Just wow!

“I had appointment yesterday at 11.15 , I was there around 10.40 I checked in and completed all paperwork. I was received around 1152 that's a long time of wait. The front entry lady was nice but still unreasonable wait time. After I had a nice conversation with Liz, she explained everything clearly in no time that I didn't had any additional questions. So I still don't understand the reason of that long wait. I'm disappointed, being punctual is a proof of professionalism.

“I was very impressed from the moment I talked to Lisa at the Norfolk location. She was able to explain the process to me without pressure to move forward. She let me know that this was in fact a process and one that took time. I met Dr. Kaplan at my pre-op who explained what would happen and reinforced recovery time. He as well let me know that I needed to break down my requested areas into 2 sessions. Starting with upper and lower abdomen and pubic area then the waist and outer thighs a few weeks later. I had the first process in April and just had the second in September. I requested to wait until September so I could get through as much of the healing process as possible.
Anyone that is considering sono-bello go in with open eyes, you will feel pain during the recovery, and it takes time. The Norfolk location is great, and the staff was there to answer all my questions and any concerns. Dr Kaplan and the nurses were wonderful.
On another note, you’re never too old for self improvement, I’m in my 70s”

“For the last month I have been working to get an appointment booked for a consultation. Granted I do have a difficult schedule, but we were finally able to find an appt date and time that works. I waited 2 weeks for this appointment. I was asked to be there early to fill out paper work and I did. My appointment time was 11:15 and arrived just after at 11:00. After filling out paper work I was told that it would be 30 to 45 minutes before I’d be called back for my appointment. I was shocked, but agreed to wait anyways. I waited for over an hour. Finally at 12:25 I asked the receptionist if there was an estimated time that I’d be taken back seeing as how my appt was scheduled for over an hour ago. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to provide me with a time. I asked to use the restroom and said I could wait another 30 minutes as I had another appointment at 2pm. The receptionist was very sweet apologetic. I asked if this was normal or a fluke thing seeing as how many places are short staffed right now. I was told there was only one consultant working and she was running a bit behind. I waited another 15 minutes before the receptionist called me to the desk and told me that unfortunately the consultant was going to be quite a while and there was no chance they’d be able to see me before 1:30 which is when i would need to leave in order to make my next appt. Again, the receptionist was very sweet and was doing her best to help. She offered to reschedule me but honestly the whole experience is a little off putting. After speaking with several people in the lobby who were having the same experience I opted to not reschedule and will just take my business else where. I feel as though I was extremely patient and arrived early as asked. I think that same respect for my time should be given by a company I could potentially be handing thousands of dollars over to. No scene was made and I was equally as kind to the receptionist as she was to me. I just wanted to express my disappointment with my experience and maybe help someone else who was choosing between Sono Bello and another company. I’d be a lot more upset if the same things occurred leading up to my procedure or the day of.”

Needless to say, the surgeon is no longer practicing at the facility. 🚫
Remedy: AWESOME, thus far! Deneen (Practice Manager) is getting me on the right path!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She is a heaven-send. She's been extremely patient as well as understanding with my ordeal. Without her...I'd still be at my wit's end with the company and more so...my body. Deneen has given me new-found hope!! Thanks so much! I will update my review as they happen. ❤️”

“Came in for 12 pm appt. Arrived early for consultation. After about 12:30pm I’ve Completed docs and still wasn’t called in. I checked back in with receptionist who explained Liz was still working with another client and would be ready in about 15 minutes or less.
Another member of the team Andrea saw me standing there waiting on the receptionist while she was on a call and Andrea did nothing. Andrea refused to look my way or acknowledge me until someone asked her to do so.

“I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Sono Bello. Several times I had said I wanted to take advantage of the interest free financing for the remaining balance due for my procedure. When I arrived the morning of (8:30 am for a 10:15 am appointment), I learned Sono Bello had charged my credit card two weeks prior without my authorization. The front desk also said I was early since my appointment wasn’t until 1:15pm. I corrected her saying my paperwork clearly states 10:15 am and was confirmed by the doctor and nurse two days earlier during my pre-op appointment. At 9:30 am I was taken back to a room and prepped for my procedure assuming the appointment time was corrected in their computer system. It was freezing in the room. So cold that the nurse couldn’t find a vein and she herself was shaking so badly to the point where she was having trouble with my IV port. I was left in the room for several hours not knowing why it was taking so long. The room was so cold that when I complained to the staff, they didn’t offer any type of comfort, and only responded that they too were freezing. Keep in mind, I’m in a hospital gown and a paper bikini. The staff was fully clothed. I finally got so cold I couldn’t take it anymore and went out to ask what was going on. It was not until then that I learned they were staying with the 1:15 pm procedure time. Why didn’t anyone tell me? A few staff said it was marked in my chart that I was notified via voicemail the day before. A message I never received. They sent the Patient Coordinator to talk to me. I explained everything that had happened. She offered little comfort. She did confirm that it truly was freezing in the room. Given the time of day, she suggested I stay another 1 ½ hours and have the procedure since I’m already there. The lack of communication and professionalism I experienced all morning left me with no confidence and zero trust with Sono Bello staff to continue with a major procedure such as this. So, I did leave.”

“Prior to consultation with Liz and pre-op with doctor Centeno I was skeptical about the results I could expect but feeling it was a last resort. Dr C talked about realistic expectations and the best options, he was open, honest and it was like he was starting my journey to better health with me. My procedure was split into two for max benefits and best results, and when I say best I mean best. After the first one I was already feeling way more confident, now only a week after part 2 and its even better than I thought I'd have even after surgery. My problem spots Ive had my entire life are gone, and i have the shape I always wanted but never thought I could have- and I'm just in the begining of the healing process. “A few months ago after my first procedure I was going to right a very negative review to this location. I was unsatisfied with my experience during my pre-op (I couldn’t cancel because I would lose my deposit) and I was completely distraught by my results after being told they were only able to take out 2L instead of 5L of fat. For my post op the nurse couldn’t even tell what type of procedure I had and couldn’t understand why they didn’t take more out, she also agreed this was not right. As someone who has had management experience in a similar environment what better than to address my concerns directly to the higher ups and so happy that I did. I want to give a huge thank you to Liz and the office manager Deneen who both stepped in immediately after contacting them to address these issues after having my first procedure. Deneen's level of concern was not only compassionate but sincere (not just for business). She wasn’t aware of what was going on but wasted no time addressing the concerns. “This review is for Deneen Williams the Practice Manager only. Deneen was my HERO!! I had my procedure and had some concerns after my final follow up. I waited as they requested for it to totally heal. But after 6 months I still looked like an alien. No one would listen to me until Deneen came in to the picture. I am truly grateful for her help!

“I was very excited when I initially went in for my consultation. I had the surgery 0ct 2020. At first I was happy with my results until I noticed one side was larger than the other. When it was time for my 3 month post op check up, I kept getting a text saying it was canceled. I texted back to see when I could reschedule. I wasn't seen until 3 months later when I called the the office to speak with someone since no one ever got back to me. Went in for a satisfaction consultation on June 11th, and I am STILL WAITING to hear back from someone. I've called twice and all I get is the receptionist saying she will send out an email and no one has gotten back to me yet. I’ve never experienced this poor customer service, besides my consultation with Brittney S, she is honestly TOO GOOD to work for this company. Brittney was the first person I met with and we discussed my areas I’d like to have treated and she set me up with a preop appointment where I actually meet the doctor and my surgery date. Although I strongly believe in meeting with a doctor before giving someone my money, I went ahead and paid for my procedure in full because I felt so comfortable with my consultation. I arrive to my preop appointment and there’s no one at the front desk so after ringing the bell 5 times, Brandon the front desk person checks me in with an attitude. Like I’m a burden to him. There was also another lady in the waiting area very upset over her results and came back to have another procedure to fix it!. Anyway, I’m taken back into one of the rooms to meet the doctor, the nurse very coldly tells me to strip down and put this paper bikini on. I wait for over an hour almost naked, excitement fading away as it has been over an hour, the doctor finally comes in to and I adored him but it was too late. The quality of customer service is POOR, besides the doctor and Brittney. It’s sad because I would do my procedure with him in a heartbeat if he were at a private practice. These corporate chains are not the way to go, ladies… this is your BODY! Do your research before you sign the dotted line.”

“Don’t waste your time at this location. Commuted an hour to this facility and was told that the doctor was behind for about two hours, but it may be sooner. I’m waiting…. Everyone else got seen, EXCEPT me. “It took me 1 year to save up for my procedure. Here's how things go are going so far...First off the communication in this place is horrible. Nothing flows smoothly!! The day of my pre op I was supposed to get a quote for a procedure I wanted to have after my initial procedure. They assured me Brittney would call...she never called.
During my pre op the Dr. Kaplan and Nurse Alaina were cool. They told me to pick my my meds from my pharmacy but Noone told me how or when to take the meds.
When I went to pick my medication up from the pharmacy it wasn't there. After a few hours the pharmacy located my meds at a whole different pharmacy even though I WROTE MY PHARMACY NAME AND ADDRESS DOWN.
My procedure was yesterday, the 25th. On the 23rd I realized, they didn't give me Arnica!!! Smh
I CALLED and the lady told me I should have started taking that.
The day of my procedure I received a message saying I needed to be there at 1pm but the office told me 12 noon . I was confused so I called the office and a lady told me to be there at 11:45. 3 minutes later a different lady calls and told me to be there at 11:30!! Anxiety started to set in.Once I got there, Dr. Kaplan was working with a different nurse. She was RUDE!! She was unwelcoming and short with me. She was frustrated that I had already taken my antibiotics and nausea meds but Noone told me when to take them and I've never had lipo before. She asked me the name of the meds but I had no clue...I just knew what they did. I asked her to check the paperwork and she said IT WASN'T IN MY FILE!! From then on she was rude.
I later found out they scheduled a 3rd procedure for the same day as mine so they pushed mine up but NOONE TOLD ME!!
Once my procedure was over they wrapped me in a garment and sent me on my way. Noone told me how long to wear the garment. I had to call and ask them!! So many people dropped the ball when it came to me. I felt like a number. It felt like all they wanted was the money and Noone actually cared about me. I'm disappointed. I have clients waiting
to see my outcome an hear how thngs went but I have very little good to say. Once I can take my garments off, I'll let everyone know ow if the Dr did a good job or not. I'll also keep everyone posted on how things continue to go for me. I want my upper and lower abs done but I'm so afraid they drop the ball again.”

“I was scheduled for a appointment for the beginning of June, when I first came there it was very warm and welcoming, I had Liz as my consultant and she seemed very genuine and helpful. After I paid more than 5000 dollars towards the procedure and she had me “locked it” , it was extremely hard to get in contact with anyone, I called time after time and also sent emails and didn’t get any response “ due to high volume calls”. “My consultant Liz sold me a dream. She had such great things to say about Dr. Kaplan. I don't know what happened with my surgery that my experience was so different than the majority of the reviews I read, but my experience was terrible. I felt everything throughout my procedure, the pain was excruciating. I was jabbed with the metal cannula in my left hip and have pain in my hip daily. I developed a seroma so large that it burst through my incision 4 weeks post-op. A week and a half later, it is still oozing. My incision looks like Dr. Kaplan was in a rush to get to his 2nd surgery of the day and hurried through it. I will actually have to have this repaired later but I cannot until I am fully healed. “If I could give them zero stars, I would. I met with Liz Breland in the Norfolk location. She explained the procedure and told me I would be a good candidate. When I asked if it is safe, of course she said yes. I found it odd that they didn’t require you to be cleared by a physician before undergoing the procedure. Liz was very quick to tell me how busy they were and how great the doctor was. My free consultation went from free to paying the $1995 surgical fee to hold my date. After talking to my mom and my best friend, they encouraged me to see my primary care doctor to see if this was actually a safe procedure for me. We found reviews online and on the BBB website that really had us all concerned as well. When I met with my physician, she told me this would not be a good procedure for me and to not undergo it due to underlying health issues I suffer from. I immediately called and emailed Sono Bello to cancel the procedure. I explained to Liz that I needed to cancel. At that point she told me the $1995 surgical fee was non-refunadable. Really? A surgical fee not refundable...I didn’t even undergo the procedure. They even charged me the balance of the procedure. I emailed Liz on several occasions requesting something in writing stating I had cancelled. She claimed to have sent it but I never received it. Her emails to me to try and get me to still have the procedure came through but not the cancellation form. Based on reviews and complaints against Sono Bello, this is their tactic. I would caution anyone that is considering undergoing this procedure to do your homework in advance of scheduling the “free” consultation they offer. This is a company that cares about the dollar over a patients health. Check out the complaints filed against them on the BBB.”

“Omg, I went in to Sono Bello on Sept 8 for my consultation with spoke with Brittany...She was awesome and completely knowledgeable. She told me about the procedure and price. She was able to get my surgery scheduled for that following Saturday September 12. I was excited and nervous on the day of my surgery but I had the most wonderful doctor (Dr. Kaplan) and his wonderful nurse Nikki. They took such good care of me during my surgery and Dr. Kaplan has the hand of God. I got liposuction in my abdomen (top& bottom) plus the ex, which is where the cut loose skin from your stomach after the lipo. I went home within 30 after my procedure in very little pain. I was up and walking the very next day which was Sunday and got a call from Dr. Kaplan that Sunday to see how I was doing. The entire process was just awesome. If you are thinking about having any cosmetic surgery please go see the wonderful staff at Sono Bello in Norfolk VA. I promise you, YOU WON'T REGET IT!!!!!”

I HAD TO MAKE A DEPOSIT OF 2840.94, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN A REFUND OF 845.94. HOWEVER, UPON MY CONVERSATION WITH MY BANK, THEY STATED THAT THIS SHADY COMPANY TRIED TO SAY THAT I DON'T GET A REFUND BECAUSE I RECEIVED A DISCOUNT. HOWEVER, I WRITTEN DOWN EVERYTHING LIZ HAD STATED IN WHICH SHE STATED THAT I WOULD GET A REFUND BACK. SO, NOW IT SEEMS THAT I WILL HAVE TO GO THE LEGAL ROUTE TO RECEIVE ANY MONEY BACK AFTER BEING LIED TO SEVERAL TIMES. THE PRACTICE MANAGER HERE HASN'T RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS.

“I'm only on day 8 so I will update as I go, however my recovery is going fantastic I had three areas done upper tummy lower tummy and sides on a Friday and I returned to work the next Monday. I thought that I will see immediate results as I looked at myself everyday and I 👀 very little change however at my post op yesterday I got a chance to see my before surgery pictures😀 there is a huge and I mean huge difference in the appearance of my tummy area so just a reminder guys you may see little difference because you're looking at yourself everyday... anyhoo I was almost skipping out of my pre-op with being so happy and it's only uphill from here. If you or any one you know wants body sculpting to make you feel better about your self this is the only place, I could safely recommend. The ladies (all of them!) from check in for consultation, measuring, photos and total evaluation of your body part or parts you want to have sculpted are so discreet and professional you never feel embarrassed or put off by their manner. On top of all of that they are so sweet you just feel like family and they treat you like a love one. At NO TIME ARE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE. I fell in love with each of the ladies from the get go because they treated me with the utmost respect (as I treaded them too). They really take care of you and grantee their work. The doctor that comes in to do the assessment after your evaluation and pricing and etc. is just as professional and you never feel uncomfortable, and believe me he knows what he is looking at and what is possible for you and your body. Also, when he returns on your sculpting day to do the marking (and yes it washes right off after a couple of showers) he is once again so professional. I know for sure I got a wonderful sculptor and he was so nice. The entire SonoBello company in Norfolk, Virginia are top of the line in what they do (SCUPLTING). This is the place to go if you are in the vicinity and they work with your schedule, which I can not say enough about. If you follow the rules and I mean to follow the rules and do not self-medicate (why would you!!!) you will be comfortable or in a sleep-like state and in no pain while they are doing the liposuction (sculpting). However, the long and short of it is that you must do your part if you expect them to do theirs in making you comfortable.
