“The staff is exceptionally nice, however the doctor did a poor job. I am not happy with my results AT ALL. I actually gained weight with skin removal and "liposuction". When they were done after the procedure, right after... they told me "you lost 4 pounds" ha wow. seriously for 11,000 I lost 4 pounds..... honestly not worth it. and I have a huge amount of scar tissue at the incision site. .... so sad....Extremely disappointed.”

Shawn answered all my questions and I was happy that he was also there the day of my surgery. Dr. Akkary was precise and polite. He made me feel very comfortable and the surgery went very well. Nurse Jessica went above and beyond helping me with post-operation follow ups. She answered all my questions and even calmed me when I became a bit impatient. The entire staff deserves a round of applause! I have been dreaming of this procedure since I was a teen and would not have imagined that it would go as smooth and easy as it did! Thank you all!”

So sad, they just take advantage of people insecurities instead of wanting to be a service for good. They behave as predators. Be very carful with these people. “Sono Bello is great for real expectations from lipo. My experience has been great so far as I am almost 1 month post-op
Upon consultation I was able to discuss priority problem areas and secondary problem areas. The cost of the procedure is becalmed less expensive per area as you add multiple areas. I did not feel pressure to add areas, but included my arms to my decision to do my interior, front, outer thighs and knee areas. The consultant I met with explained the procedure, after care and expectations along with limitations for plastic surgery in the state of PA. Remember, that this consultation is only about an hour long so they give you a high-level overview of what to expect.
At my preop appointment, I met with a nurse who explain the procedure, medication that will be used and was sent home with a packet on how to prepare.
The day of the procedure I returned, met with my nurse and Doctor Who reviewed all of my history, marked the areas for surgery and started me on medication for pain management. Jessica was my nurse and made me feel comfortable the entire time. She was upbeat and positive and made sure that my compression garments were ready to go and that I was well taken care of throughout the day. She was available by text message and I felt I could reach out to her at any time.
I have a very high pain tolerance, and I can tell you that I was in some real pain for the first 36 hours after the procedure. One thing that was a blessing and a curse was they were able to remove 5 L of fat, but that causes more pain and more leakage than I expected. If I didn’t have a job where I work from home, I would’ve definitely needed the next two days to recover. You leak A LOT. The doctor called me that night to check up on me, and when I told him about the amount of pain I was in, he advised I can adjust the pain medicine which I wound up not having to do but I do recommend making sure you take it on a regular schedule for the first two days.
Dr Akkary was my surgeon, and while he does not have a warm and fuzzy bedside manner, I can assure you with the results I have noticed in the last few days, I would rather have a doctor like him who gets the job done and be happy with the results. He was aggressive during the procedure and made sure that all the areas were properly done and got as much fat out as possible.Melissa was his OR tech and held my hand and checked on me the entire time. I couldn’t have done it without her.
Understand that the first three weeks can be filled with swelling, lumpiness, and soreness. This is not a reflection of how you will look and believe the staff when they tell you that it is a longer process to see results.
So far, 3 weeks after the procedure, I have lost 12 pounds with additional diet and exercise and my body has changed shape and looks slimmer in the areas I had done. I could not have reduced size in these areas with diet and exercise alone. I am continuing to be realistic about the amount of skin that may be left, but I am pleasantly surprised. I hope to continue to see results in the short term, hopefully wear my compression garment less after my one month appointment and continue diet and exercise to reap the results of this procedure.
So far I can’t say enough good things about the staff at sono Bello. I never felt alone during the process. My one take away is that you will be in more pain than you may expect, especially if they remove a lot of fat from your selected areas. I would definitely do it again knowing that the results are mirroring the realistic goals that I had.”

I have a Sonobello 45 minutes from my house in Indianapolis but I would send ANYONE to the Sonobello in Pittsburgh just to receive the quality care that me, my mother, and my boyfriend all received.

“I had my Surgery with Dr. G. He was really nice during my pre-op and made me feel at ease. He is very experienced as he explained and that made me feel so comfortable for this procedure! The surgery was quick and pretty easy all things considered. I was out in 3 hours and on my way home! I was super tired after so I just took the rest of the day resting. The next few days I was sore like Julie had explained. Overall, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I would do it again for my legs next! I can't believe I was originally considering a tummy tuck -- this was so much easier!!! Big thanks to Kristen for being so kind during the surgery as well! You're a great nurse!”

“I did my abs and back with lipo. The surgery took a couple hours and after I was just sore and had some swelling. I would say that I was uncomfortable, but not really in pain. I could still do my normal day-to-day things without much issue.
I was really surprised to see the change at my first follow up appointment. I figured that it wouldn't be much, but it was pretty significant. Since then, I am down 4 pant sizes. Still can't believe it.
I have my next follow up in a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing the final results.

“Dr. Kathju is the man. I have been hitting the gym for a decade trying to change my body and little did I know that I had a 6-pack hanging out underneath my flab the whole time!
I met with Julie initially for the consultation. She was very informative and let me know what/where I could change and somewhat of an expectation for the end result. Doc definitely exceeded that expectation. I haven't had this much definition on my abs and flanks since I was in high school. We did my chin too since the years haven't been kind to my jaw line. I might not be Brad Pitt, but I'm close!
Jess was my nurse in surgery -- she was very comforting and took great care of me. I was a little anxious, but after the meds kicked in I was fine! Dr. Kathju talked my ear off about music for the first hour so that helped as well. Almost forgot where I was.
Afterwards, I was really tired the first day. I was sore when the meds wore off and had some brusing and swelling like Julie said, but it wasn't bad. I took 2 days off just to relax and then was back in the office on Monday.
For the first time in 10 years I will be going to the beach feeling confident! Who knew at 43 I would look better than 33!

“I'm 4 1/2 months post-procedure having my upper Ab, lower Ab, and hips treated. I'm 64 yrs old and my weight has never been the issue. It was my belly/pouch which I've had all my life. I also have (4) children which contributed to my belly fat.

He got right to it and kept me engaged by talking about his passion for music. “The staff here are amazing, and they’ve all been extremely thoughtful and thorough every step of the way. On the day of my procedure, Dr. Kathju and Shawn were absolutely wonderful, caring, and ensured the most comfort possible during a fairly invasive procedure. The first half hour was tough (Shawn helped greatly by giving me a much-needed stress ball, rubbing my temples, and playing music of my choice), but once the anesthesia kicked in, any pain or discomfort was extremely minimal. I’m on day 12 post-op, still a bit sore and swollen, but I’m healing as expected and can already see the results taking shape. I would recommend Sono Bello to anyone!”

“Okay, so at the beginning I was so nervous I felt sick to my stomach, I never so much as had a tooth pulled.but when I got to the facility everybody made me feel so comfortable And confident my fears started to ease away, the girls was so nice. “Wow ! Where do I start !! Well Dr. Kathju is a magician his work has surpassed my expectations! Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always had a pouch 6 pack on my abdomen as I got older I got bigger no matter how much exercise I would do it just wouldn’t go I was mainly focused on that but Dr. Kathju gave me an hourglass shape as well and I can wear clothes that make me feel really good I feel so much better about my self now . By the way I remember during my procedure the nurse came in to tell him the next patient was there he said he will be 15 mins longer and he spent an extra 15-20 mins contouring me running into the next client . Guys he really cares ! So if your appointment is running behind just think it could be you getting that extra time with him trying to make your shape perfect. It’s only been 2 weeks I can’t wait to see what I will look like after 3 months !! Also the staff is amazing super friendly and they really care about you ! You can tell by the was they talk to you it’s like talking to a friend . “Coming to Sonobello is so much more than “getting a procedure done.” And it changes more than how you SEE yourself - it changes the whole way you FEEL about yourself! I used to dread seeing myself in the mirror but now, I am simply thrilled! Make no mistake - it is NOT a weight loss program but it changes your outline for the better! And it can be uncomfortable in the beginning as you would expect - but that decreases and I have never been so happy about something that I did for myself. “I write this review with the unique perspective of being a repeat customer of SonoBello. My original procedure was in late 2018.
Specifically, this review is with regard to the Cranberry Township office in Pennsylvania.
The new 2020 staff, beginning with reception and logistics (Amber), and extending to the medical staff are very attentive, both to the patient’s needs, and including their preventive care and related dynamics in this Covid era.
Dr Sandeep Kathju (Surgeon) and his principal assistants Holly (RN) and Jessica (RN) , have spent a thorough, perhaps an inordinate, amount of time with me both before and after the surgery.... So that during every step of the process I have felt informed and completely assured of their treatment plan and how I should approach my recovery plan.
I need to also a complement Lara, the SonoBello office manager and head of marketing. She was instrumental in my successful visit as a return customer.

“There is so much information they don't tell you, until after the procedure. Be aware: you will only look like these pictures 9 months later IF you exercise and change your eating habits, the procedures alone will not suffice. After the procedure, I had an extreme amount of swelling and pain. The swelling will take at least 6 months to resolve. I returned for my post op visit and showed the nurse (you will never see the Dr again) the lumps and irregular flat and fat curves all over my abdomen and waste. I was offered additional services, at additional costs to smooth out my appearance, but after $8000, I should not have to continue to pay to correct the irregular liposuction procedure. I felt better only when wearing the support garments, but my goal was to not have to wear these forever! I did not have a high BMI, so I was not extremely obese, i just wanted the belly fat removed and waist narrowed. I am now left with a disproportioned, lumpy torso!”

“There is a good experience and there's a bad experience the staff was nice I somewhat like lipo experience and results. My stomache isn't where I want it to be but it's hard exercising with a itchy stomache. Within the first month after my procedure there was a rip feeling on my left side and a hole where I'd not used to be not sure why the right side and the center keloid out but the whole stomach is keloid that .It's been almost two years next month and my stomach keloid up. It itches constantly. Different materials irritates in and make it itch. During the first year overtime they gave me two different methods to try for the keloids that didn't work I have tried different things on my own and the two things that I found that work is apple cider vinegar in hemorrhoid medicine.I have holes in different undergarments from scratching and itching I wish I was my suggestion is if you have keloids on your body don't get this procedure. When I asked before your consultation they told me I had good skin. I have a few keloid spots on my body and none of them has never itched like this and for this long.”
