“So I had the skin removal and lipo done, all a good experience until I was done. I wound up with what they call dog ears and called several times and told they would fix it. I kept having to go in to have it looked at over and over and finally the Dr convinced me to have this treatment to see if a shot would diminish the poking out skin. It left me with a discolored area that's completely sunken in. It bothers me more than the dog ears. I really want it fixed and last I called it was months before they could see me. I'm disappointed and frustrated. I kinda of gave up them I decided to write a review to see if this helps me get what I need :(. I was going to write a review after it was fixed to say how I was happy, but they never made me happy.”

Everyone was very friendly from the moment of setting up my appointment to greeting me with a smile when I checked in to having my consultation with an amazing, compassionate and caring employee; Jessica. Everyone made me feel welcome and understood with what I have been dealing with and what results I am looking for. Jessica was absolutely amazing during the consultation. She listened to everything I had to say, she made her recommendations after we talked and she looked at the areas I would like work done on. Jessica had great energy, as well as compassion while explaining to me the procedures I will be having done. She went over all the requirements needed on my end after it’s all done and went over all the details of the procedures. She was so understanding and easy to talk to. Jessica was also able to get me in sooner than later for the procedures, so I can still ski in the upcoming season. Jessica absolutely Rocks!!! Thanks Sonobello and Jessica for everything. You all helped me make something I have wanted to do and have dreamed of doing for 26 yrs. become a reality. “*** AGAIN PLEASE 🙏🏽 READ ***
. Car sales man mentality,TRAINING LOCATION, and lack of customer service! These all are key points to know before you go here. Sadly it’s the only location in Utah, not sure why it would be a training location. Not all employees here are lacking in customer service. But pressured into signing up for the chest area procedure $5,000! Just for the front chest doesn’t includes sides or anything, making the procedure look like a botched surgery. Had to push the surgery out for my school schedule and wanted to do it durning spring break week. So because I moved or rescheduling out the dates from early December to March since it would be durning a spring break and the prior time rolled over to pre-op surgery which was wrong.
I was told at the pre op my surgery would early 7am to show up 6:45am, keep in mind I live 30 mins away. Arranged for a friend to drive me to my surgery. The day before surgery I was told it would be at 2pm. missing up my rides schedule and was told by the office they can have the car service drive me for a fee. Because of the situation they offered to remove $250 off the fee, but this was an original promotion they have running on ads. So wasn’t anything she was doing extra to help with the situation. I’m at the 3 month mark and I would NEVER go back here EVER again. It’s a waste of money, cool sculpting is half the price and does a larger area! Key points is you have to massage the area and get tons of scare tissue lumps! You need to wear a compression garment for 3 months for more that half the day, so not just while sleeping. Do this surgery in the fall time or winter!!! Also no sun exposer for 6-12 months and to wear lots of sun screen on the incision areas. Again would never go back to this location!!!!
I had run into traffic on I-15 06/07/2023 called them 30 minutes prior to appointment at 2:45 so 2:15 letting them know I’d be 10-15 minutes late they said that should be fine and to just show up. Got there at 7 minutes passed my appointment time. Was not able to get the first venus treatment done. Just post ops pictures and nothing more apparently the treatment was booked back to back. Rescheduled for the next appointment that worked with my schedule and the technician on site.
“Hi James! This is Laura, the Practice Manager at Sono Bello Sandy. We have you scheduled on July 12th for your Venus treatment but unfortunately we don't currently have a Venus technician. We are in the hiring process and once they are up and running, we will get you back on the books for that treatment. I apologize for any inconvenience.”
They have changed times on me numerous times. And wondering if my bad review had anything to do with them canceling on me.”

“For what it's worth, a little over 8 years ago I made the decision to have my upper arms, thighs (saddle bags) and lower abdomen done here. I had seen pictures of "botched" procedures leaving indents across the stomach, but there were so many great reviews and I told myself, that won't happen to me.
Well...after battling hormonal issues, insulin resistance, and adrenal fatigue you'd never even know I had any type of procedure other than the scars and the hideous indentations where removal is uneven across my lower abdomenand hip area. I wish i had never had the procedures because 1) getting fat sucked was only a temporary fix that ended up making things look worse and 2) at the time, all I knew was trying all my old tricks to lose weight weren't working anymore and I figured this would fix that...what I did not understand was that my body was changing hormonally and doing these procedures had more of an adverse effect than anything.
I hate looking at my stomach and hip the most because it's so uneven and indented. I was just looking at some pin up style photos I had done a few years prior to going to Sonobello and boy is that depressing. Everything was smooth and even, unlike now. It's actually depressing to think I paid as much as I did to look worse.
Buyer beware. If you are at that age when suddenly the weight is coming on and no amount of diet and exercise is working, do not go to Sonobello thinking all your problems will be solved. If anything, they'll be exacerbated.
They also trade areas of work for a 5 star review. I wouldn't be surprised if they bribe people to remove bad reviews.
Just be in tune with your body before choosing this option. They do not care about what your body might be doing at different life stages, They just want your money.”

“This was my first experience at Sono Bello and honestly, I was going in for the free consult to see what the reality really was for getting a few areas looked at. I’ve always been pretty thin and active but being 48 and in the middle of menopause, I wanted a tune up. I met with Jessica and she was very personable. She listened to what I wanted and was very upfront about the cost. No hidden fees or tricks, just straight forward. I haven’t had my procedure yet. It’s next week, but as far as the consultation went, it was wonderful.

“The whole process is rushed! No time is spent at all in the beginning it definitely felt like a sales pitch. Also when pulling your credit it isn't made clear that's its a loan/credit card because of the terminology they use. They make it seem innocent and then a credit card shows up at your door even when you haven't confirmed you are going to have a procedure done. You don't meet with a doctor which is super sketchy so how do they or you know you are a good candidate for having a procedure like this done! And when confronting the sales person about it they get snippy and defensive like how dare you question their motives! Even if this was legit I will not be going here now or ever! Plus the pricing is way off its $3000 per service supposedly, but if you get two all of a sudden it's $8000- $9000 before taxes I mean I'm not a mathematician but something doesn't add up so all the discounts they offer are fake the whole thing is just not right!. I'd give it negative stars if I could!”

I would give them 0 stars if I could.
This company is more focused on getting money out of you than they are about their actual patients. The “consultation”
is a sales pitch, they are not a doctor in any shape or form — they are more concerned about the money and financing than what you actually need. We only spent 2 mins talking about what I wanted for my procedure. NOT AN EXAGGERATION!
After that, we went straight into financing. They will offer you extra discounts and money off ONLY if you have your surgery sooner. The consultant wanted me to have my procedure that same week! They make it seem like a deal but in reality it’s really a trap. After deciding with my family i hat it was better to not do it SonoBello still proceeded to call and text me — they offered me an extra $1000 if I were to have the surgery by the next day. What happened to all the safety requirements? What if I was on prescription medication, drinking alcohol, etc? They did not even confirm if i’d have a ride or 24 supervision.
If this company is so patient focused why does it have to be such a rush to have surgery? The consultant will purposely not explain major details to you. They’ll try to get you to finance by claiming it is 0% interest for 12 months but they do not tell you that after a year it’ll go up to 30%! Not only that but if you go to your Pre-Op appointment and the surgeon deems you fit, you cannot change your mind because you will be charged the FULL AMOUNT of the procedure.”

From the initial consultation, Jessica greeted me warmly and provided information on what the procedure would look like. Other companies couldn’t set up a consult for 8 weeks and they had me put down a payment just for the consultation. The entire staff at Sandy,UT has been helpful, knowledgeable, comforting and easy to work with. All my questions and concerns were addressed and if someone didn’t have an answer to my question they would find out the correct answer and get back to me. These ladies always got back to me in a timely fashion. Rarely did I wait more than 72 hours for a call back with an answer. That includes my surgeon Dr. Allred. “I did my procedure in Aug 2020 tummy (top & bottom) they charge seperatly and my side bulge below the bra , the first doctor told me, He couldn't get a lot of fat out because I had a lot of muscles after I told him I was not happy, I looked the same, so within a year Feb 11 2021 they scheduled me to redo the sides(After 1yr if you don't like it you're stuck with it) or pay again. Overall You can see the difference but I know it could have been better. Just know the consultation is a sales pitch.”

“After two 60 lbs weight gain pregnancies and then two c-sections, and then normal motherhood weight gain and weight loses. I had extra skin and the mommy pooch.
With a healthy diet and daily gym routine, I went from 32 BMI to 24 BMI, that is when I started to research all the body sculpturing options. I met with Jessica at Sono Bello in Sandy, Utah. She is a consultant, who went through the Sono Bello procedures. She was very kind and patient with all my direct questions! I then met with Dr.Atun.
He was a knowledgeable “to the point” doctor and he was very confident on what was needed or not needed. Any nervous concerns I had about the procedure dissipated. I had the AB EX and body contouring in mid section soon after my consultation with the surgeon. Amidey was my nurse for the procedure. She was fantastic. Explaining everything before and what to expect during and afterwards.
The actual procedure was smooth from start to finish. Nothing surprising as I felt pretty much what I was told I would feel each step in the process. I was being talked through the steps of the procedure. To me it was like a really “deep tissue massage” types of tugs, a few pokes and a few ouches. Amidey was great afterwards as well. She gave me and my husband the Information needed for post surgery. It’s now about a week later. First few days were slow but not bad. I was at work Monday, day 4 and was good for most of the long workday. The worst part for me was the tender/itchy healing process. Yes I have a flat stomach again. The joy of it, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I can’t wait to see the better results in the next few months”

****Minimal result for a procedure that is overpriced. I regret doing the procedure and investing in myself, as I've walked away in debt and regret.
I spent $5,000 for it, something that gave me the most minimal results and didn't even target the area, which was my WHOLE reason I opted Sonobello over a tummy tuck. That probably would have been worth the $5,000.
The area that I wanted them to concentrate on was barely touched. I have loose skin at my navel and just below where my c-section incision is. I've been insecure about it and really wanted that area to be targeted even stated that at my consultation. It seemed like they targeted on removing fat more than they really did any skin tightening. I didn't even see a drop on my weight 6 months after the procedure, so I don't know what fat they removed.
At my 6-month follow-up I felt like I was blamed for why I don't have seven or eight pound drop in my weight. The loose skin is still there. I made a large investment in myself and I really regret. I don't recommend.****”

“Tons of miscommunication with front counter staff and the nurses. My daughter was in the waiting room during my pre-op and said the front staff was talking poorly about other customers. I was told to come in at 6 am the next morning for my surgery over a month ago. My Covid test was supposed to be a same day test. But during my pre-op they told me I had to change my surgery to noon the next day instead of 6 am because the Covid results would t be back in time. After having to make my whole family change their schedules to help me watch kids and hire people to watch my business during this adventure I was very disappointed. I had traveled about 3 hours to be there and those kind of schedule changes and delays are extremely hard. My daughter heard the front staff talking between each other and they were talking about changing my appointment because they didn’t want to be there that early in the morning. Very disappointed with the front staff. Nurses and Doctor Miller were amazing!!!! I wish I could say the same for the front counter staff. Going back in a couple of weeks for my next appointment. Hope the communication and everything goes better with front desk staff. If they don’t like their job or working with the customers, they should find another job. But the nurses and Dr Miller are absolutely worth the trouble with the front desk. ”

“I went there for a consultation for laser fat removal, In the consultation I was told that I that I had loose skin on my stomach not fat! And then consultant proceeded to try and sell me on the procedure( which I saw was a tummy tuck , cut would be across my lower stomach) to get rid of the the excess stomach skin. Keep in mind the skin on my stomach was not bad. Despite me voicing my reservations about this to the consultant, which she didn’t seem to take seriously, she kept trying to get me to commit and put a down payment. The real underhanded thing the consultant did was ask me if I would be interested in financing, since the procedure would be about $12,000. She told me she would “run my credit “ which she did which I agreed to. I never told her I was going to have the procedure I told her I had to think about it. I got home and thought not about the procedure itself but the manner in which the consultant was pushing this procedure, too many red flags. Almost two weeks later after the appointment I get in my mail a credit card, which Sonobello opened for me called credit care! I called the CC company and they informed me that sonobello opened the CC - it is to be used for medical expenses. I never gave the consultant or sonobello authorization to open up a cc for me. I canceled the card and reported it to their fraud department. I do not recommend going there.”

Also during the procedure last September, you are sedated but still awake, I was the first appointment that morning, they had another appointment after mine and someone came in and told him that they were waiting and to basically hurry up, I feel like he was rushed, and then today he made the comment that corporate had said something about them doing procedures for free so I'm assuming that means the satisfaction guarantee procedures. “Went in for sculpting and had legs, love handles, and stomach done. This was recommended by the salesperson as all I would need. After procedure my stomach looked slightly better but legs and love handles appeared to have little change, other then being uneven. When I went to my followup the nurse told me I hadn't lost enough weight or inches for the doctor to even out my legs. I then had to go to a warm sculpting establishment who evened out my love handles and thighs which where clearly uneven.”

“Honestly I only went in to acquire information about the procedure, finance, and information. Jessica was very efficient on providing me with all the information I needed and even provided me with answers to questions I didn’t know I needed. “I have what I call a "pooch" on my stomach from having 3 C-sections. No matter what kind of dieting I would try that pooch didn't seem to go away. After encouragement from my husband I decided to go into sonobello and see what could be done as I was frustrated that I wasn't able to shrink the "pooch".
Jessica was awesome and took the time to explain each of the different procedures and what each would do and helped me to see that why dieting wasn't solving my problem and wouldn't solve my problem. “I am so happy that I chose to finally do something wonderful for myself and go to Sono Bello! It's been an amazing experience, right from the start. First step was scheduling Lipo and filling out the document's with Jessica Blayden. Jessica was very kind and lead me through the process with excitement and reassurance that the results would be everything I was hoping for. Jessica was with me all the way answering questions as I went, she always got back to me immediately and she made the entire process very easy!
After meeting with Jessica I had an appointment with Dr. Miller. My appointment with Dr. Miller went exactly the same, I was very nervous and he explained everything to me in detail. Dr. Miller drew diagrams and showed me what to expect, we discussed options and what he felt was in my best interest, answering all my questions and reassured me that he would be here for me during and after the procedure.
The surgery went well, everyone at Sono Bello should be commended for the amazing job they do! I can't say how wonderful everyone was and how happy I am. The evening of my surgery Dr. Miller called to check on me and make sure everything was going well. The following day the nurse called, answering questions and making sure that I everything I needed. Follow up care was prompt and I understood exactly what the following weeks would consist of and what to expect as far as results.
Once I got through the recovery period which went very well, I was able to schedule appointments with Chandler Johnson for the Venus treatments. Chandler is the sweetiest little thing ever, so thoughtful and very easy to work with. Chandler discussed the importance of diet, exercise, and consuming enough water while going through the Venus process to further help tighten and tone the skin after Lipo. Chandler made me feel at ease and has been so wonderful to work with.
I am currently going through a series of Venus treatments with her and I am excited to see the results!
I would encourage anyone who has thought about doing this for themselves not to wait. Call and schedule an appoint with Jessica. meet Dr. Miller and his staff and experience how awesome it feels to finally have confidence in yourself and know you look amazing! Follow up with a series of Venus treatments with Chandler and make life long friend, she is very personable and she's flexible making sure that she works around your schedule.

“In 2016 I went to the Sandy,, UT location. Amy met with me and we discussed the procedure I wanted. She told me they could not do lower abs without doing upper abs as well but they needed to charge me for 2 seperate areas. I was confused as to why they wouldn't be considered one area if they would not do 1 of those 2 areas without doing the other as well. We discussed 2 other areas of concern as well. She told me my total weight loss would be about 50 lbs. when all was said and done and I would have to pay for 4 areas rather than only 3 because of how they charge for upper abs and lower abs seperately. During my procedure, I asked the doctor a couple questions and he told me that my time frame was almost up and he had things to do so if I asked questions, he would not have time in the 2 hours I paid over $8,000.00 for, to finish because he would stop to answer my questions. At the end he said that they were only able to get about 7 pounds out of me but it wasn't all fat because I had scar tisssue they removed instead. I didn't ever loose any weight or inches. I did complain about his rudeness and exaspersted demeanor and lack of results at my follow up visit. They sent me home and had me come back on a later date so I could share my concerns with someone else. Still, no help. I called to discuss my disappointment with Amy, but she had been promoted and was no longer at that office. I was given the name of someone in Seattle I could contact, but she was being transferred to a different area as well so couldn't help me. Nobody could or would help me. I finally received an email from a Brenda. I shared my concern and disappointment then was told it would be forwarded to someone else to review it. Everyone was being transferred around so nobody ever helped me. I am still sick about shelling out hard earned cash and not getting any results. They guaranteed results until I called them on it, then they just kept sending me to someone else that should know more about how to remedy my complaints. No one ever did!!!”

They were able to address all my questions related to the procedure, and were very supportive of my decisions. Dr. Miller was very honest and understanding of my concerns. I have endometriosis and as there’s some pain and discomfort with the procedure (especially the back bra roll due to more nerves in that area) I was very concerned with having to deal with the pain associated with my endometriosis and the discomfort after the procedure. He explained in depth what’s expected and helped me make an informed decision that’s I’m most comfortable with. As a result, I decided to postpone the procedure until after I had my endometriosis under control. I had my procedure done in June, I went through all the process to after the surgery that would insist on the best results. everywhere looked great, but my lower stomach that explained from the beginning was a huge problem. I go up to my place I got it done at, and they wanted to charge me another 4 k to fix their mess. No my stomach is not flat, it’s not smooth it’s lumpy and it’s been like that the whole time. I thought they would follow policy or want satisfied customers. No what they do is they say you’ll look great, then do the procedure mess up your body, in an EXTREME PERMANENT WAY! Then tell you sorry you have to pay. No they don’t change people’s lives they’re a company that wants to make money and not care about their actual customers. I do not recommend them at all. “I was so skeptical of this place after some of the reviews. I however went in for a consult. I wasn’t pushed at all. I went in for surgery Thursday morning and was scared to death. They don’t use General Anesthesia and I wasn’t sure what expect. They gave me a couple pills and within 10 minutes I was on the table. I felt the lidocaine shot but that’s all I felt. I don’t even remember anything. I rested very well during the procedure. I can’t wait to see my results. It will be a week before I remove the garment to look. Dr Allred is an awesome dr. “Let me tell you guys something. I got liposuction about 10 years ago. By the way they try and promise that you’re fat will never come back. You have to be careful because where are you did not have that removed as where it’s going if you gain weight. I went back twice because the first time my sides did not match each other. The lady doing the sales is very pushy I am still trying to debate if I want to go back in but just for my stomach area they want to charge me 5000. And I had told her every thing went everywhere else because when I got my lipo suction done I swelled up and was huge and probably gained about five more pounds until I started losing it a little by little if you want your surgery re-done you have to lose weight or they will not do it they will basically tell you while you gain the weight that’s not our problem you were not taking care of yourself how you were supposed to .. I asked her why the prices went up so much because when I did my liposuction I paid 4700 for my whole stomach certified surgeons when my liposuction was originally done I should definitely get a deal if those surgeons were not bored. Certified 🤦🏽♀️ Oh I forgot to add and I was awake during the whole procedure they just pretty much had me drugged up on every single drug that can be possible”

A little backstory (you’ll see later why I included this), before the procedure, I had a health issue, was put on meds, and lost some weight. So when I had the procedure, I was down about 5 pounds from my “normal” weight.
The procedure was painless, they took out about 4 pounds. So far so good!
But there was a pretty long and painful recovery. No way could I have gone back to work the next day, like they advertise. But I didn’t care, because I saw some results immediately.
Also, during the recovery, I recovered from the health issue, stopped the meds and gained back a few of the pounds.
Now, completely recovered, everything but the hips look amazing. There is a lumpy roundness instead of a streamlined smoothness on both sides.
So I went in for a post-op consultation, and, the doctor, chewing gum, said, “you gained weight.” [Meaning: that broke the guarantee, and the procedure was done properly. It’s your fault.] I felt dismissed, dejected, at fault...
So I went home feeling really depressed. I was too upset at the time, but later realized they told me when an area was lazered, fat cells were completely killed in that area, and that if I gained weight, it would happen somewhere else. So there should not have been any round (fat) there. Newly gained weight would appear in my legs, for instance.
I have since lost about 6 pounds from that post-op consult (unrelated to the procedure, or perhaps because of it and the emotional trauma of the way I was just rudely dismissed), and the hips look the same, not right.
I had regular lipo on my leg, due to a medical condition, and results were immediate with no downtime. Yes it was more expensive but insurance paid for most of it, and it worked.
I would NOT recommend Sonobello, as their customer service sucks (well, there were a few ppl who were great), they don’t stand by their guarantee, and I was shown rudeness.”

I had a procedure done here three years ago and I am still dealing with the repercussions. Sonobello is filled with a bunch of lying, manipulating scammers. They use peoples insecurities to gain a profit and they do it with absolutely no conscience. Dr. Avila is terrible. I was 22 when I had this procedure done. I was insecure and I should've just lost weight but he took advantage of me and messed up my stomach without making it ANY smaller. The lady you initially meet with is a SALESWOMAN. She is not a doctor yet she sat there and told me that my pants would be falling off of me and that I would be so skinny. None of which is true. You meet with an actual doctor AFTER you sign all the papers. However, meeting with the doctor is no better. During my procedure I was in so much pain that I was crying and all Dr. Avila cared to say what that I have a low threshold of pain and wants to know if he should continue. I just shelled out a bunch of money and I'm laying naked on a table high on a valium, in an extremely vulnerable moment and that's all he said to me. He has absolutely no compassion OR passion for what he does because he wouldn't be able to scam and treat people this way if he did. At the end of the day he knows hes getting paid and that's all he cares about. Please listen to me and DO NOT go here.
If this doesn't convince you then you are probably just as insecure and naive as I was and I wish you the best... but truthfully, you will not receive the best if you go here.

I met with Dr. Avila recently and at the meeting he told me "your experience with sonobello was not normal."
They have offered me the option of having revision surgery, meaning they acknowledge that this procedure did nothing. I told them I don't want anyone there to ever touch me again. They ALSO offered to have other services done on me at the same value of the procedure I had done. Why would they offer these to me if the procedure did what it was supposed to? Just do the right thing and give me my money back.
I, although slightly embarrassed of them (although not as embarrassed as sonobello should be), have taken the liberty to post my before and after pictures on google so as to deter as many people from this place as possible. You tell me if you think my "pants will be falling off" as a result of this procedure.

When i went in for my 9 month evaluation i cried to the doctor about how i had only lost 1 size and instead of seeing what he could do for the $5000 i paid he recommended a book on eating healthy. It is nothing like the commercial. You really have to go through a lot for nothing!!. I feel so duped!! Please do your research! My opinion is it is false advertising! They guarenteed 70% of fat removal and when i confronted the doctor he said they do not recommend going back in and redoing the surgery. So in other words i am stuck with what i got.

I got to talked to the doctor that would actual do the work, AND cost $3000 less then what Sono Bello wanted to charge AND did more, like skin tightening. It has truly been everything I was hoping to accomplish for myself. My neck was what my main concern was. And I say "was" because it's back to the way I see myself in my own mind's eye, and it's only been a week, thanks to my Doctor really listening to what I wanted. With the help from the nurses and staff, I feel I had everything I needed to make sure things went well for me. I felt like before surgery I knew what to expect and what to expect for my recovery time. The first 3 day were rough, but I was totally prepared with my ice packs, medicine, and soft foods. I have had very little bruising, and the bruising that did occur is yellow and almost faded away already. All the nurses that helped me were amazing, and great with my husband too. “Simply the reason of my 1 star rating is because I had an scheduled appointment for the free consultation and I arrived 10 minutes before to fill out the paperwork.
I understand that it's not the receptionist fault about waiting time, however, it would be nice to be advised ahead of time if they're running a little behind or something, that way we can accommodate our schedule if we needed to.
It didn't take me long to complete the forms and turn them in to the receptionist and she informed me that they would be me momentarily.
I went to have a sit to wait, other people walked in and they were seen before me, I waited about an hour until receptionist yields from the desk that she was sorry about the wait and that the person that went before for her consultation was taking more time than expected.
Although it supposed to be a free consultation, it costed me my time and it was wasted. I had other things to do so I walked to the front and informed the receptionist that I had other things to do and was not going to keep waiting and left. After reading some bad reviews on here, I'm glad I decided to leave and not keep waiting. I've always believe that things happen for a reason.
This isn't the only place to considered to have body contouring performed. I'll continue searching other alternatives.”

“Worst mistake of my entire life. I am a thoughtful person. I try to research and make informed decisions. I was impulsive about getting lipo suction done on my legs. I am 5'7" and weigh around 140 lbs. I've always carried my extra weight in my thighs. I spent $6,000 on 4 areas at sonobello (pricing is based on your BMI, I qualified for the base/lowest level of pricing). They removed about 2 liters of fat from my thighs to my knees. I could go on for hours explaining the entire process but I've decided to wait an entire year to write this review so that it offered perspective rather than gorey details. In the big picture, I have excessive scar tissue and I now weigh 10 lbs more than I have ever weighed. My legs are the same size (or slighly larger) than they were before. I am now collecting fat in other parts of my body. I have weird creasing and tugging because of the scar tissue. Also, the incision points are still visible and it has been an entire year. I exercise 3-5 times per week and my diet has not changed (it's probably improved a little). I spent $1200 in professional massage for the first 3-4 months post surgery (very painful and time consuming) to cope with all of the scar tissue and provide optimal results.
The only positive thing I can say is that I don't have "saddle bags". That's great when I wear skinny jeans but in a swim suit my legs are very embarrasing. I literally had a massage therapist gasp when she removed the blanket off my legs 11 months after my surgery. It was my first time to that therapist and she was not aware of my surgery.
Needless to say, I do not feel there is adequate post surgery information availbale from patients because the industry (money money money) has the ability to control the search results when consumers search for information from real live people who have lived through the hell of liposuction.
As a side note, I am a stable person with no major mental illness but I have to admit that I have suffered with anxiety and depression due to the psychological impact of the surgery. It is an extremely violent surgery and seeing myself look that way was painful for me as well as my spouse. To this day I regret ever allowing myself to attempt to change my body through surgery.
The office staff and doctor were very nice. I am not convinced they are fully honest with clients. I spent $1200 to have my knees done because they said it makes the legs look more complete. They only removed 1 table spoon per knee. That's some expensive fat! And my knees look the same. Knees are not worth the money for certain!!!”

I had a procedure done at Sono Bello 6 months ago. I know I was told that it would take time but I still had it in my head that I would have overnight results. I have lost 18 lbs since my surgery and I continue to lose inches. I have gone down 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt size. I went in with realistic expectations, and left with horrible disappointment down the road. I have areas larger on one side than others, missed areas, etc and I still have some pain and narly scars that remind me of this whole ordeal, haunting me almost every day of my life. Although only slightly slender in some not all areas, I am still wearing the same clothing size, lost only 7lbs, and not one person even noticed a difference in me. Sadly you are required to pay their insurance which covers re-dos. Amy (initial sales rep), made it sound so easy, she stated if you need any touch up work or are not happy, we can just touch it up, not a problem. I did everything they asked me to do (ate & massaged well), they said I healed, retracted, and my areas felt better than they were expecting. At my 6 mo visit, they still denied me the needed touch ups. I did NOT even gain weight, infact I had lost a few lbs, which they seemed shocked about. Other reviews complain of warranty being voided due to gaining weight, well I didn't and they still denied me! As soon as you mention to Dr Miller you are not happy, he becomes irritated, upset, and a "hot head"….rude and unprofessional. The meeting started with his usual talkative spill (more like a standard lecture he tells everyone, pretending to be your friend, speaking so much and leaving no time for the patient to put many words in) which left me irritated and undressed still as I patiently and kindly waited for my turn to speak almost a half hour later… I was very cooperative and kind during our meeting, did not yell at him, I only emotionally expressed my concerned areas at the very end, and my concerns overall that they didn't take me serious and had their minds made up for NO re-dos from the start. He literally snapped 360 degrees when I told him I was not happy, then became: irritated, childish, snappy with me, and really unprofessional throwing everything back onto me. I never in my life have heard or seen Dr act like he did. I highly doubt they even do re-dos as he had an excuse for every area I showed him. They stated they took the same out in both sides, etc… Well it happened unevenly because my body looks weird now and this should be a good reason for a touch up right? BEWARE, Insurance is a fraud; BEWARE, they don't care nor follow up, when they know you are upset and unhappy; BEWARE, Dr Miller (although board cert) is unprofessional & rude; BEWARE, you will waste your money on this smart-lipo procedure; BEWARE Unless you work really hard eating well and exercising harder than ever like I did, most likely you will gain your weight back within the year as its very easy to do; BEWARE, you will have lots of visible scars and your body will look weird: BEWARE, you will be haunted almost every day of your life every time you see yourself in the mirror or look at the scars on your body. Don't do lipo, I'm not even sure I would recommend this procedure even with a good Dr at another location. Really Diet and Exercise is the only thing that works, If you can't conquer this now, there is no way you will be happy with this procedure as you will gain the weight back over time. This might work for a skinny size 0-8 person who has a tiny bump? I was one of their smaller patients they said?? (avg, sz 14, still sz 14). Lets not forget, I wasted $10k, in which paid for scars, a weird body, and treated very unprofessional, thus feeling very ripped off for the rest of my life! This experience wouldn't be worth it even at no-cost. SONO BELLO & Dr Miller, remember we are human, our bodies, appearance, and feelings are important to US. You are ruining people's lives. Although only slightly slender in some not all areas, I am still wearing the same clothing size, lost only 7lbs, and not one person even noticed a difference in me. Sadly you are required to pay their insurance which covers re-dos. Amy (initial sales rep), made it sound so easy, she stated if you need any touch up work or are not happy, we can just touch it up, not a problem. I did everything they asked me to do (ate & massaged well), they said I healed, retracted, and my areas felt better than they were expecting. At my 6 mo visit, they still denied me the needed touch ups. I did NOT even gain weight, infact I had lost a few lbs, which they seemed shocked about. Other reviews complain of warranty being voided due to gaining weight, well I didn't and they still denied me! As soon as you mention to Dr Miller you are not happy, he becomes irritated, upset, and a "hot head"….rude and unprofessional. The meeting started with his usual talkative spill (more like a standard lecture he tells everyone, pretending to be your friend, speaking so much and leaving no time for the patient to put many words in) which left me irritated and undressed still as I patiently and kindly waited for my turn to speak almost a half hour later… I was very cooperative and kind during our meeting, did not yell at him, I only emotionally expressed my concerned areas at the very end, and my concerns overall that they didn't take me serious and had their minds made up for NO re-dos from the start. He literally snapped 360 degrees when I told him I was not happy, then became: irritated, childish, snappy with me, and really unprofessional throwing everything back onto me. I never in my life have heard or seen Dr act like he did. I highly doubt they even do re-dos as he had an excuse for every area I showed him. They stated they took the same out in both sides, etc… Well it happened unevenly because my body looks weird now and this should be a good reason for a touch up right? BEWARE, Insurance is a fraud; BEWARE, they don't care nor follow up, when they know you are upset and unhappy; BEWARE, Dr Miller (although board cert) is unprofessional & rude; BEWARE, you will waste your money on this smart-lipo procedure; BEWARE Unless you work really hard eating well and exercising harder than ever like I did, most likely you will gain your weight back within the year as its very easy to do; BEWARE, you will have lots of visible scars and your body will look weird: BEWARE, you will be haunted almost every day of your life every time you see yourself in the mirror or look at the scars on your body. Don't do lipo, I'm not even sure I would recommend this procedure even with a good Dr at another location. Really Diet and Exercise is the only thing that works, If you can't conquer this now, there is no way you will be happy with this procedure as you will gain the weight back over time. This might work for a skinny size 0-8 person who has a tiny bump? I was one of their smaller patients they said?? (avg, sz 14, still sz 14). Lets not forget, I wasted $10k, in which paid for scars, a weird body, and treated very unprofessional, thus feeling very ripped off for the rest of my life! This experience wouldn't be worth it even at no-cost. SONO BELLO & Dr Miller, remember we are human, our bodies, appearance, and feelings are important to US. You are ruining people's lives. Re-think your policies and procedures or the bad reviews will just keep coming in. I am sure there are so many out there who have had the same experience and are afraid to speak out, as it took me quite some time & courage myself.”

“For anyone thinking about this company, I had some work done there 2 years ago; First off, the girl who did my original assessment came across fairly pushy. She was not a doctor or surgeon, she was simply a salesperson. I kept asking her questions, my biggest question was, "If I have lipo done, will the skin retract?" I was told once it would, another person I asked told me it can. This simply is not true when it comes to lipo. They just wanted my money. They have pictures in the rooms where they take your weight and pictures. I asked about one of a man who had some lipo done to his stomach and after asking additional questions, she finally admitted to me that he looked that way not simply because of the lipo done. It's reasonable to look at a picture in a place like that with results and assume the results are do to procedures the company provides.

“I had been considering liposuction for quite awhile before I made my consultation appointment with Sonobello. I read and heard mixed reviews, but decided to just give them a try.
They were extremely kind and helpful on the phone, always willing to answer my worrisome questions. However, after attending my appointment, I left very disappointed. The individual responsible for the consolation was not even a surgeon. Moreover, she made me feel very rushed and pressured to pay upfront, right then and there.
I was looking to treat upper and lower abdomen; she responded that this would be no problem. In fact, I was actually an ideal liposuction match. Thankfully I did not fall for their deception. I decided to look around for a board certified plastic surgeon. When examined by an actual professional, liposuction was not even the appropriate procedure for my personal abdominal situation.
Following through with this surgeon, I choose to do liposuction on my inner and outer thigh area. I am now almost 5 weeks out and each day I realize more and more how Sonobello is a horrible scam.
Liposuction is NOT an easy, quick recovery like they make it out to be. In reality it is very painful and requires a decent amount of down time in order to properly heal. I was told at my Sonobello consolation I could start running again in as little as a 1 week, which I now realize is completely absurd.
In Utah we are blessed with many wonderful, talented plastic surgeons. I researched thoroughly and am relieve that I did so. Most importantly, please, do yourself a favor, look elsewhere if you are considering liposuction. I promise to you that you will not regret it.”

“My Sonobello Nightmare
Recently I chose to receive a laser lipo procedure from Sonobello performed by one of their Dr's.
Dr Eduardo Avila.
Let me first say, up to the day of the procedure, I have never felt more comfortable or treated with more respect as I was from the staff in the Salt Lake location. My meeting with Dr Avila the day prior for a preop was uneventful and he appeared professional and polite.
It was during the actual procedure when things went very wrong. First who I am. I have 25 years in the military and have had numerous injuries in sports. I have also had several cosmetic surgeries recently as I age I am like most of clients for Sono Bello trying to maintain my looks. So when I say I have never experienced the level of pain and the level of disregard by Dr Avila, I speak from experience.
The staff administers a narcotic that makes you very calm and semi-conscious. This was where I was when laying I believe on my side/front something shot through my body bringing me to total consciousness. My only reaction was to say stop. The pain was intense. I realized I was not very capable of making decisions at this point but could not stand the pain. Dr Avila from what I could perceive was only concerned about whether he should continue. Picture laying semi naked on a table and having the Dr ask you over and over in a irritated voice “what do you want to do (saying your name)” How would you answer that question? Shouldn't he be concerned for what is causing your distress? Maybe he is hitting something with a needle he shouldn't be. Shouldn't he be perceptive and caring to wonder if in fact it is something wrong? My feeling was of betrayal and embarrassment. How could I be such a wimp when so many have done this before? However I know that I am far from it.

More Demerol was administered is what I was told. The procedure continued and during it while I was semi-conscious I heard the Dr explain to the nurse that I had a low threshold of pain. Never did he even consider my feelings as real or take a critical look at maybe he might be hitting something or doing something wrong.
I am in post op recovery and bloated, bruised, itching and several marks other than the holes. As of 1 week I am no smaller than I was. I expect the bloating to decrease hopefully, stand by for more.
In summary there are good Dr's and dispassionate lousy ones. Dr Avila can be added to your do not use list. There are 2 other Dr's in the Salt Lake location. I can not comment on their level of caring or concern for patient well being. I just know DO NOT USE DR. AVILA!”

“Right now I am almost 7 weeks out from my surgery. I have been so happy with my results so far. All the staff that I have talked with since the beginning and my doctor were great. My surgery went well also. All of my bruising was gone in two weeks. I was told it could take 3-6 months for a final result so I am very excited to see how much more swelling will go down.
I have discussed my surgery with family and some close friends and told them I would recommend Sonobello for any procedure. “I had laser liposuction with Dr. Miller who left me with a scar the size of my palm and pitting 1/8 inch deep. He was not concerned with the infection I had after my procedure. He told me I was over reacting. He offered me Vicodin and no treatment or compassion towards my issue. I don't need pain medications. I would never recommend Sono Bello to anyone! I have picture to prove the neglect and malpractice. Pictures don't lie.”

“I was cursed with large upper arms from my mothers side. We have these huge arms and fat above our elbows. My arms don't match my body. I have curvy figure but my arms make me appear fat. I do everything to hide them, cropped cardi's, Bolero jackets, shrugs, every type of denim jackets, nothing shorter than 1/4 length sleeves shirts, even in summer time! here in Utah it gets upto 100+ degrees.
I have been procrastinating because I'm scared I won't get the result I'm looking for. I'm a perfectionist and I wont be happy with so so. I've consulted with different dr.s and I think I have narrowed my decision down to Dr. Joseph Jensen. I've had two consultations with him so far. He's honest, caring and confident in his abilities. He made me feel very comfortable. He took time to talk to my Husband and I, I never felt rushed Even though I was late to my appt. I always left his office feeling positive. He said he believes I will have a great result. I hope this is true! Fingers crossed! I'm going next week to put deposit and schedule my surgery. One thing I didn't like is, they want me to buy two compression garments from their office at $150 each but I don't really like them. While Online I seen another lipo arm sleeve garment at lipogarmentscom that I like way better. This particular garment has adjustment on sleeves to tighten or loosen to your arms as they swell or go down and you can wear your own bra underneath. Plus, it's way less, only $48 each. I wonder if It is an absolute requirement to purchase from the office? The office lady seemed to be pushing it on me. I told her I seen another I like better and she said I would need to call "this number" to see what they say about that And she handed me their CG brochure.”

“My only regret with doing the procedure is that I didn't do it sooner. I love my legs now and that's a big deal for me. I've never liked skinny jeans or leggings on myself, and since it doesn't look like cargo pants are coming back anytime soon, I figured I was out of luck. Now I pretty much only wear leggings and I can't wait to bust out some shorts for summer!
I did my procedure the week of Christmas, and I was shocked at how normal I felt. A few days after that, I went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. I loved that I didn't miss a beat over the holidays and I didn't have to waste time in bed, recovering. Most of my family had no idea. The ones that do know are all considering going to you guys now that they've seen the results.
The staff and doctor were incredible. I was nervous, but everyone I've talked to there was kind and genuinely excited for me. I know they do this all day, every day. And for that I'm grateful because it means they have the experience to do excellent work. But they treated me like an individual who was making a life-changing choice. And I was!
I can't even come up with one piece of constructive criticism. I loved everything about my experience, most especially the results. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but I don't need to. I like all of me now!”

“I am about 10 days out after my procedure and I couldn't be happier! I want to go back for more! I had my waist and hips done and I could tell a difference immediately! Everyone in the office is wonderful to work with. I was extremely embarrassed but Amy put me right at ease even while she's sitting there pinching my fat! The girl knows her stuff but she is very realistic at the same time. Dr. Miller made me feel very comfortable! He was professional and nonjudgmental during the entire procedure! “Well, the itching has gone away. It lasted for approx. 5 days during week 3 & was a bit more uncomfortable than any other time, but tolerable, & STILL WORTH IT! I actually had my chin & neck done 2 days ago, same doctor (Dr. Avila) & will be posting about that as well soon. This was a much easier procedure & I'm healing even faster. As for going into the 4th week for the original abdominal procedure, almost all of the swelling is gone, it's all flexible but there is still a ways to go to see the final results but it can easily be hidden with a "mommy onesie" for a while until the skin begins to tighten.”

“I read many, many reviews before making my consultation appointment with Amy. She was very honest, down to earth, and fun to talk with. I scheduled my procedure, and was a little nervous. My surgical nurse, Lori, was fantastic. Again, super fun to talk with, put me at ease, and answered all of the questions I had. Dr. Avila is a artist! He's is friendly, and knows what he's doing. I'm able to walk around with relative ease. I have been taking the ibuprofen, arnica and loritab that was prescribed. I feel bruised, that's about all.
