“The staff at Sono Bello in St Louis, MO were unbelievably caring, supportive, and great to be around. They've created a relaxed but professional environment. The staff clearly enjoys working together and the front and back teammates
clearly strive to work together as 1 unit and communicate with each other in a respectful, "team" oriented environment. Both areas of life this particular practice- are fast, effective, and fluid. I write all this because I have worked in the private sector of the healthcare system, and I personally know how challenging it is for back (surgical) staff and the front (clerical) staff to meld into one unit.

“Horribly experience from the consultation reps that evidently aren't located in the area. They was able to tell me general pricing for 3 areas but was unable to give me a general price on only 1 area. I understand that prices vary but they should still be able to give you an average price or at least a starting price. It was a scripted sales pitch and was not pleasant. Not everybody has the time to drive an hour and then do an hour consultation during working hours and then drive an hour back if the trip isn't going to be worth it. So unless you got time and money to waste then I wouldn't recommend them.”

“Kristine has been wonderful and I appreciate everything she did to help me. However I feel like I should have talked to a doctor during my consultation rather then waiting until the pre op appointment. During consultation, I was made to think I was a good candidate for smart lipo but during the pre op, the doctor let me know that I really need to lose weight and would not see any dramatic change with sonobello's service. I feel like it was a waste of the company's time and mine to go through financing and making appointments. I am grateful that the doctor was very honest and that's why I feel like I should have seen the doctor during my consultation. To top it off they will not give me a refund of my downpayment, even though I didn't have any work done. I feel like sonobello tricked me and took my money. Now I'm being told oh that doctor you spoke with is conservative and we want you to talk to another doctor we have. I feel like they would say anything and I cannot trust them what they say. I definitely would not recommend.”

“This is such an amazing place. I had high blood pressure (white coat syndrome) and they cared so much about my health. I had to wait a few times until it was under control. “I feel very lucky to have gotten the team I did to help me get my journey started! My consultant Kristine was the sweetest and helpful with answering all my questions, listening to my concerns, and helping me find best package , and even getting me financed! Day of surgery, Tiara was my best friend for the day. I was so nervous, she would just keep reminding me why i was there. She'd let me just ramble on about whatever, we laughed, I cried lol. It was super comforting to have with me, and the stress ball idea in my worst moment, was exactly what I needed, ty!
Dr Gage is very professional, honest and compassionate. He's been more than helpful before, during and even after my procedure. I had some concerns, he took all into consideration and told me what I needed to hear, and not what I wanted to hear. I had a couple of what turned out to be minor issues, but in the moment wasn't sure if it was major or not, and Kristen was on the other end of the phone with me for both of them. Kristen was amazing and a great help with getting me answers, giving suggestions to help always checking back in with me after each one. I was happy to have her at my 1 week post op appointment, where she made me feel really good about my decision, and gave me some really good advice, went above and beyond to help answer all my questions! She really is the perfect person for that position.
Nicole and Cassie are stellar at what they do! Everything you call there, it's usually one of them and they are quick to get you what yiu need or to who you need. Every time I called or texted, which was alot lol, they were on top of whatever it was I needed, and or super quick to respond back!
This has definitely been an experience, and I couldn't have hand picked a better team to share it with! ❤️”

Although I remained nervous deciding to make a transformation the excitement and upmost professionalism their team offered to me gave me the knowledge and courage to fullfill a long time goal. “I am not happy at all. I had my procedure on July 31. Not much has changed except I have a lip at the bottom of my stomach. It clearly states that if you’re not happy with the results you can come back within the year of having the procedure if you haven’t gained any weight. I lost 10 lbs and abdomen is still sticking out. I had my “6 month” visit today and all I can say is I wouldn’t recommend any one to Dr.Gage he Seems like all he care about is money instead of trying to solve my issue he states that he can’t do anything unless I pay for a tummy tuck. Now I just paid 6,400 for absolutely nothing. It feels like I still have fatty pockets in my stomach. All Dr. gauge keept saying was diet and exercise diet and exercise and there was nothing he could do. I lost 10 pounds I watch my diet and I do exercise I am 5’5 161 pounds I’m not trying to be 5’5 and wearing a size 2. I could have taken my money to a Board-certified doctor in Miami and paid almost $3000 less, and it would’ve been done right. If you look at the pictures the dates are on them you can tell that there wasn’t much of a change so no I’m not happy with this procedure with that doctor at all now I have to walk around depressed self-conscious of how my abdomen looks it’s disgusting”

Few years back I had done cool sculpting which did not work for me at all, no results. Which made this little bit difficult for me since cool sculpting created lotta scar tissue so some parts of my procedure was little uncomfortable.
Today is exactly 9 days, since I’ve done it and I already see results. Amazing I’m very excited.

One thing I would mention if you do more physical work do not rush back. I went back three days later and I was a little uncomfortable, maybe shorten your hours for few days.”

“This procedure was much more painful and traumatic than advertised. The doctor only appeared to care about my well being. He repeatedly scolded me and told me to stay still during the procedure despite the fact that I was in evident pain. I vomited for ten hours after the procedure. I could not even keep water down. I needed help but didn’t get any support from them. When I shared my concerns at my follow up appointments, the only relief I was offered was a “touch up” session, which obviously means more of the previous treatment. Be wary of this! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!”

It’s hard to talk about the part of yourself that makes you uncomfortable. I felt safe to share my reasons for wanting surgery because we all have a story. I had laser liposuction.
Meeting Dr Lionelli was such a highlight ! He is exceptional at his craft. Of course surgery is scary but he made me feel like I would get through all of it and come out with so much more confidence. You cannot put a price on bedside manor . He was so kind and I got through surgery great. There is some pain that comes with the procedure and the entire staff was there to get me through it. He even called me after to check in as well as the staff .
You can tell Dr Lionelli was born to do this :)
Brittney, my nurse was beyond helpful. I even special requested her to be there during surgery and she happily obliged. She related to me and held my hand if I got nervous. Answered all of my questions and calmed me.

The entire staff cheers you on as you are going through this new body transition /journey ! I cannot thank them enough for encouraging me without being a pushy sales person(s), I did my research and education on liposuction surgery and chose Sono Bello for all of the above reasons and many more! Their professionalism is exceptional . I’m still healing and can not wait to see even more change !

My consultation with the doctor was very thorough and he was very detailed and his explanation and sat and talked with me until I was finished. I did not feel rushed or as if I was another case he was just trying to get out of there, he sat there patiently and took the time to answer questions and concerns and walked me through how the entire process would be beginning to end. “I am 72 and had lost weight. I works out a lot, but could not lose my stomach fat. I though about going there, but I assume it was really expensive. After we got off the phone I receive a text stating "I think I can get the doctor to stay now can you give me 10 minutes to confirm." “My initial consult went great, I was not kept waiting and the lady that helped me was very informed and thorough on the procedure. Once we finalized the plans, I was booked two weeks out. I went in for a pre op with Dr Lionelli and he was very kind, informative and honest about the procedure and expectations. I was sent home with everything I needed to be ready for my procedure.

The day of surgery I showed up and everything proceeded on time. I was nervous but Dr Lionelli was very considerate and patient. He went over everything again and marked the areas he would be working on and I was given medication.

Once the procedure started, there was mild discomfort and occasional medium discomfort and Dr Lionelli was very attentive, he paused every few minutes to look over and ask me how I was doing and make sure I was as comfortable as possible. The time seemed to go by quickly and before long I was being helped into my garments and on my way home. Within 4-5 days I was able to do most normal everyday things without anything more than mild discomfort. I found that exercise (walking) really helped me. Once I unwrapped my binder on day three I was surprised to see such a big transformation because I had been warned ahead of time that the results would not be as evident until the swelling went down. Everyday is better and at 7 days post op I could not be happier with my results! Dr Lionelli did an AMAZING job of contouring my waste and hips. My 21 year old and I have a very similar figure now and today someone asked if we were sisters 👯‍♀️ Knowing it’s only going to get better is mind blowing to me since I’m already so happy with how I look!

I’m still swollen it's only been 3 days since the surgery no severe pain have not needed to take the pain meds they gave me just a little discomfort bending, sitting and getting up otherwise for the most part it went very well. I was just wondering when our freedom of speech became illegal? Why can I not tell my side of the story just because it was bad? “All of the Sono Bella staff, except for the doctors, are very polite and welcoming. The doctors are rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. I had surgery done on my lower abs, upper abs, and waist. After the horrible pain and sleeping all day for a few days, when I could finally get up and do something it was still a very slow recovery even though I used everything that Sono Bello gave me which included a scar cream, bruising pills, pain pills, a bruising and pain rub lotion, and two compression garments. I wore the compression garments and used everything that I could for the full six weeks that I was told to. Still after six weeks there were no visible changes in the areas of my surgery. My stomach area was very squishy and flabby like Jell-O which I figured was the liquid that was injected into me before the surgery that I could not get rid of even though they told me to drink water and a lot of it, which I did. They proceeded to have me see their head doctor which flew in from Arizona, who was about as rude as they come. He wasn’t going to do the revision because he said I had gained 5 pounds, which I told him in women we can fluctuate 5 pounds in a day depending on what we drink and what we eat and he did not believe me. Anyway after talking to the office manager, she had talked the doctor into doing my revision which he still did not want to do all of this he was only going to do my abs and not my waist. Finally he told me he would do the full revision and blamed it on the previous doctor not taking enough fat cells out. So I went and had my revision done causing more scars on me and this doctor did not go inside my belly button he went above my belly button which then took three months to heal, caused a scar over where my belly button ring goes so I couldn’t put my belly button ring back in and now the hole is completely closed and I cannot wear my belly button ring. So again I had to go through the pain, the sleeping, and the not being able to really do anything, six weeks worth of the stupid compression again which I did and drinking plenty of water which I did. Only to realize that very little change had happened again. So threatening to take them to channel 2 news about it, the manager of the office decided to give me eight sessions of what they called Venus. So I go and do once a week a session of Venus for eight weeks which takes me one hour to get there, and absolutely no results. I just went for my final check up and still had gained the weight, my belly is still jiggly in the area that I said is liquid, and was told that it was fat and maybe a medicine that I am on is causing me to gain weight. I was told that all areas that have the Lipo will never ever grow fat cells again so why do I still have fat cells in those areas? I truly think Sono Bello in Creve Coeur is false advertisement and fake products. It cost me almost $6000 to have those three areas done and I am still disappointed In the way my midsection looks, I have multiple scars, and do not look very much different than one year ago when all of this started. I do not recommend this facility for anyone looking into liposuction. I would recommend looking into a plastic surgeon locally that does not have offices all over the United States. My husband keeps telling me to get a lawyer and sue them to at least get my money back for not providing me with a service that they said they would. They hype it all up making you think you’re going to come out of there in one day with this beautiful flat stomach and hourglass figure but when in all reality you come out a tiny bit thinner, disappointed, and thousands of dollars poorer. No one there can say that I am lying either because they take lots of pictures of your body before, during treatment, and for six months after. So if anything after reading my review I hope that I save thousands of men and women who are looking into using Sono Bello for their liposuction. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice....”

“The service has been exceptional from the beginning, with Stephanie laying out the options, and helping me find the right plan. The entire staff has been professional and kind throughout my journey...always genuinely concerned and helpful. Dr. Porshinsky has also been both professional and honestly kind. He was considerate during the surgery process, asking questions about my pain and comfort, and he called the day after to check on me. He did not only suck the fat out of my body. He took time to artfully sculpt my body, considering how each change would affect the whole. The changes have been incredible! For me, the main purpose of the liposuction was to give me a fresh start both health wise and with feeling better about myself. Before the surgeries I was trying to exercise, but the extra weight combined with some health issues made it almost impossible. I was eating healthy as well, but my medication contributed to weight gain, especially in my belly. Since the surgeries I have been able to cut in half the medication that was contributing greatly affecting my weight. I am also walking 4 miles almost every day, and doing some low impact exercise. I've lost over 40 pounds, and I'm still losing! I've already gone from bursting out of a size 16W to a size 10! That's pretty amazing! Thank you Dr. Porshinsky, Amanda and all of the staff at SonoBello St. Louis! I am grateful!”

“It’s been about a year since my procedure and I am still in love with the results! I still have a pretty decent scar, but to be honest I’ve done minimal to treat it. The staff was amazing. My few suggestions would be to ask TONS of questions during the sales pitch. (It has been some time since my procedure so things can change!) but in my experience I didn’t really know what I was in for until the consultation after I signed the paper work. The doctor was so professional, very clear on what to expect and willing to work around any swim suit etc he could! You ARE AWAKE DURING THE PROCEDURE and there was a lot of pain until the numbing medication kicked it. This procedure is definitely worth the results BUT if you have a low pain tolerance, or blood make your uncomfortable this may not the procedure for you. You will be in a bit of pain the first week or so, but I healed pretty quickly. I am so thankful I got this procedure done here!!! The last two pictures are about 9 months post op!”

“I have struggle with my midsection weight gain after turning 45 years of age. I tired everything from working out, different diet programs and yes diet pills. I started looking into Sono Bello over a year before I had my actual procedure. I had made at lease 6 no show consultation appointment before keeping my final appointment were I meet with Stephanie at the St. Louis New Ballas location. She was awesome and made me feel like I was focus in the right direction for this jump start of weight loss I wanted.

I left the consultation excited and put my down payment down within the next two weeks. Like most people when you begin to truly focus on the financial obligation you begin to second guess yourself, is this what you want to do. I began to look at the google reviews and questions if I was making the right decision. I called the office numerous times asking all kinds of questions because of the doubts the google review shown. Everytime they answer with patience and reinforcement that it will be ok.

I changed my date and pushed it up and I am now almost 2 weeks after my procedure and I’m so HAPPY with my results. All the nurses were friendly and full of knowledge, Dr. Lionelli was unbelievable awesome. The ONLY disappointment I have, is that I did not do it year ago.

I say to anyone questioning if you should do it....just do it. If its financial obligation there are options call them. For me I saved and I sacrifice something for me. As women we sometimes take care of our families and others, but not ourselves. Choose you this time, you won’t regret it.

During my pre exam the doctor was honest with advice and suggested a slight change what I originally requesres, I'm grateful he did. Although my issue was resolved, and now eight months later, my stomach is very lumpy and uneven. I wish I would have chosen differently. My belly looks flat under clothes, however, out of clothes and very fitted shirts tells another story. I'm just not one of the success stories.
Just adding an update. I did not think about it until I was alerted that ppl have read my review. So, I am now going to another doctor for a tummy tuck to correct what was done. Nothing else would help. Please do your research before making this big decision.”

Dr. Shatz performed my procedure, he was very direct and matter of fact, which I appreciated. The office waiting area was very welcoming and comforting. I had liposuction on my upper/lower abs, hips, and sides. The procedure was not painful but was somewhat uncomfortable (but completely tolerable). 3mo post I have noticed a dramatic difference in my lower abs and sides. “Horrific experience that has left me traumatized. I had botched surgery on several areas of my body. 2 revision surgeries were done and the areas are still there! One by Dr Dillon that still wasnt fixed and the next by the Cheif of Sonobello. I also have complete sensation loss to the bottom of my left calf. And apparently Dr. Dillon has done this to several patients and the other Drs in the office are fixing his botched work. He was "let go" from St Louis SonoBello. He should NOT have a license to do surgery! It scares me to think he is still a surgeon. The Chief Executive of SonoBello had to fly in on a day to meet me AND several people who had botched surgeries from Dr Dillon. I was scared and nervous and very upset about my leg and the other areas that were clearly and definitely messed up. When he met with me he was not sympathetic or never apologized for what I had been through. When I said, "Will Dr Dillon have repercussions for this?" He answered, "Repercissions like lose his license? I don't do that. He did a mediocre job." I thought really?? Mediocre??? So that's why you had to fly in to try to fix all these areas? In fact, a surgeon that worked in the same office refused to do my revision because he was so upset with the outcome that Dr Dillon did. He was afraid to furthermore make the areas worse. He quote said, "Its too much of a Liability." When I started crying in front of him and the office manager while they looked at my almost naked body, I said, "I am so upset right now and he said in a very stern voice, "You think I don't know that?!" That is a lot of why the Cheif had to fly in to do my surgery. He then said to me that I have gained weight and I said yes...he said "well I mean...we could always come back and say that you gained weight." I said, "The weight gain was AFTER the botched surgery. It has no relevance to his poor work." He never said a word...I left in tears....the Cheif rescheduled my surgery with no explanation from the staff. I was only notified a week prior after the fact that I had gotten days off from work and then lost those hours...the day of my surgery I was so scared I cried when I went in. My blood pressure was elevated because I was so overwhelmed. I felt like the only way to fix this is to do this surgery. I had the surgery last Dec. I've been called one time and that's it.... it will be a year in about 4 months....the areas are STILL botched. I was promised before all of this that I would receive free tightening and toning treatments...as if that was enough...then they never did them. I'm 27yrs old and I put over $20,000 into these surgeries. Only to have a messed up hip where too much fat was taken out and way smaller than the other, messed up calf that was smaller than the other one with an area that was dented in where too much fat was taken out. On my revision he had to do a fat transfer in one part of the leg because it was so bad. My upper and lower abdomen is uneven where too much fat was taken out then not enough so it looks rough. The public area is lumpy. I had my "banana rolls" or under my buttcheeks done and fat was missed on both sides. I have put so much money into this and I am still paying debt from botched surgery that has left me traumatized. I can't even get it paid off because the interest is charging me almost $200 after every payment through a loan company that they use. I'm so depressed and sick about it and yet scared about what to do. I need justice and I haven't received it. Being a nursing school student and having 2-3 jobs at a time is a lot. And then I had to go through this. Not to mention th surgeries were painful. Because you are AWAKE during them. I remember several times laying on the table saying "Ow, Ow, Ow" and in tears and asking for more numbing injections. Some of which were not given to me...I remember EVERYTHING. “Wife and I paid $6000, for her to have waist, upper and lower abs. She is devastated by her unsatisfactory results. I didn't have the heart to tell her until a few days ago that they botched her liposuction and it virtually looks the exact same as before the liposuction. I'm angry with the staff and her results. Her self esteem is terrible and I wanted her to feel pretty again. They promised life changing results and it was not.

The manager (Melinda) of the office insinuated that my wife was lying when she said the Dr said her stomach would be flat. I was in the room for every appointment except during the surgery.
I heard the Dr and a few other workers tell my wife and assure her that her stomach would be flat.
They refuse to do anything about this problem until her 6 month appointment. They told my wife we would revisit the conversation then. Their actions and handling of the situation is unacceptable.

I was very nervous, scared and terrified after reading a few other posts. I went in to see Dr. Shatz and he reassured me. The day I went in of course I was nervous. All the prep was done and went in for the procedure and was pleasantly surprised that I really didn't feel anything after the initial shots of deadening and that wasn't as bad as I thought. Next thing I new it was done and time to go home. This was done on Saturday and Monday my first shower and Tuesday much better. I do like what I saw on Monday. I was smaller and that was with the swelling. The staff at SonoBello is fantastic and very caring. Can't wait for the swelling to go down and see the improvement without the swelling. My experience with SonoBello has been wonderful, from start to finish! I am in the medical profession myself, so I know what to look for and what to expect. Everyone from the receptionist to the physician have been personable, yet professional. The environment was warm and welcoming. I was able to get a consultation almost immediately. Everyone made me feel comfortable...so comfortable, that I scheduled my procedure two days later. Dr. Scheu was friendly and very knowledgeable. He took ample time to explain the procedure in detail, what to expect in the immediate post op period, and realistic results. His examination of me was thorough. I appreciated the fact that he has been doing these procedures for 30+ years. I googled him before my procedure as well and read awesome reviews. This made me feel even more at ease with my decision to move forward. Dr. Scheu even called to check on me later that night. The surgical nurse was also very nice and compassionate. I was able to see some improvement/results the following day after I took off the bandages, despite the swelling and numbness. I have not had any post op complications i.e. bleeding, excessive drainage, bruising, etc. I was quite sore the first 2 days, but this has dissipated and is minimal now. The post op follow up has been great too with frequent emails and updates. I can not wait to see the final outcome in about 6 months when all the swelling has resolved. I would definitely recommend SonoBello. Great job guys!”

Ok everyone, Sonobello advertisements are true. I did my research. I went online, looked at other companies, but decided to do the consultation with them. They answered my email request within 5 minuets of sending. My consult was real. Katey was not only my consultant, she was a able to look at the areas that I wanted done and give me real insight, cost and did I mention she was a financing guru. They have financing to meet everyone needs. After my consult within 2 weeks I was schedule to have my upper and lower waist and sides done. I have lost about 38 pounds within the last 6 months, but after 4 kids my stomach muscle are shot and the fat just was not moving. Ok guys don't be shy. At your pre-op they give you this really ugly 2 piece paper bra and panty set so the Doc can take a look at you and give you the 411 (information). Dr. Lionelle made me feel comfortable first and foremost. He listened to what I wanted and what I wanted to achieve. He then took a look at what he had to work with. He explained what he could do with every part of the areas that I wanted done and the end results. He educated, informed, but made me laugh at the same time. I knew with Dr. Lionelli I was in good hands. The day of surgery guys my nurse was so awesome. I dont like needles, but she made sure the process was quick and as painless as possible. My procedure was 3 hours long, but felt like one. I was able to pick my own music while the procedure was being done, but the the great part about the whole experience was that Dr. Lionelli and I talked all throughout my procedure. I was even joking. My friend that came along was in the waiting room and was like amazed and listening to our conversation and didnt know what was going on. Thats just how comfortable and at ease the Sonobello team makes your procedure. I'm almost 3 weeks post-op, and believe you this, my waist and stomach has already went down and I have curves already. I was amazed at how relatively painless the procedure was. I talked through the whole procedure and relate it basically to the pain level of a tattoo. My downtime was basically one day. I had it done on a Saturday. I called Monday morning because I wasn't draining. A nurse called me back within three minutes to tell me it was normal. I taught classes that night. The hardest part of this whole episode has been getting the compression garment snapped by myself! The doctor and staff were all highly professional. They were also very friendly and I felt like they got to know me and they treated all my questions with respect and gave me detailed and knowledgeable answers. I've recommended them to several of my friends and can't wait for my three month follow up. At my one week follow up, I was 12 pounds lighter and one pant size smaller and thrilled.
