She actively listened and let me guide the discussion based on my expected outcome, questions, and concerns. All of my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed. This led to me scheduling my procedure.

At my pre-op appointment, it was Mellanie that truly put me at ease with my decision to move forward. Mellanie and Dr. Dawson were direct and intentional about best practices pre and post op, as well as addressing my laundry list of questions and concerns to ensure the best possible outcome.. The were straight up, no chaser: Nothing is perfect , but anything is possible with commitment. I am more satisfied with my “why” and “what “ regardless of anything else. I’m very excited about their professionalism and my expectations. If you’re ready for a lifestyle change, this is your team!”

I started at the Baltimore location and proceeded to Tysons for the experience of one of the plastic surgeons. My pre-op... Another procedure(s) (2) that was recommended by MD was added. The MD talked to my coordinator and she said the MD said only one was necessary at this time for the results I was looking for... I arrived on time and was called back later than my expected start time 1030 for a 1230 procedure. The MD came in and asked did you add on ------ I started to laugh because I was like something was going on and the communication was off and I was thinking to myself... I was not told everything that the MD recommended so I would be satisfied. I must say it was not about the money at all for this MD. Sonobello ... Yes all about the money and commission. Anyway, I had additional financing so I attempted to use it to get the full 360 lipo. It is almost 1 pm... An unknown person I believe her name was Stephanie was coming in asking me what I wanted to do and I told her... I thought she was helping with the process ... Nope. I called the company to determine what I needed to do to get the funding... As I was almost done a nurse came into the room, "What are you going to do, we have to push your procedure back because another patient is waiting... Okay, I have been waiting too! I became so upset and defeated... The MD came into the room because I was crying and had to ask Mellanie who finally gave me her name after she tried to cover up her messy and professional behavior to leave because she was trying to tell the MD another patient was waiting and she needed to push me back... Baltimore to VA with my son and mom... Nope, I canceled and requested a refund. Then Mellanie proceeded to email the Baltimore location and try to make them the problem and gave them her interpretation of what she thought I said instead of dealing with the important issue HER POOR BEDSIDE MANNER...and to top it off she kept saying that I looked good the way I was and she was wondering why I was there... Well, I was there for me and the way I feel... Maybe I was not fat enough to be treated with respect. Thanks for nothing sono bello. They stated maybe I should go to the MD personal practice and get the results I want... What did I do to Be passed around like trash !!. I truly HATE THIS PLACE. That was not the first time they attempted to persuade me to go elsewhere!! TYSONS CORNER NEVER AGAIN and I WILL NOW TAKE YOUR ADVICE AND GO ELSEWHERE!!”

“I am very pleased with Sonobello in McLean Virginia. I highly recommend Dr. Marefat, he is an highly skilled Plastic Surgeon, who cares about obtaining the best outcome of his work. Dr. Marefat, provides great communication and a awesome bedside manner, He ensures he understands exactly what your goals are for the specific areas, you want to target, with giving honest feedback. I was going to do my outer thighs and inner thighs, Dr. Marefat, explained and showed me, I did not need my outer thighs, that if I really wanted my inner thighs it was important to address my knees with inner thighs, his very through explanation showing me what would happen if I did not do my knees, it made total sense. Dr. Marefat truly takes the time, and its so important, to have that Surgeon who see’s you as his own family member and not a number or $$$.
The nurses at Sonobello have been amazing, Nurse Melanie has been above and beyond helpful, and a good listener and Nurse Christine as well. Front Desk has been very helpful as well. Also, the Patient Advocates are very helpful, caring and great listeners as well. Kudos to all.
I recommend Sonobello for great patient Satisfaction. ”

Surgeon Dr Dawson, Annalise (lead nurse), Emma and Christine (nurses), Angie L. “STAY AWAY FROM DR. NICKODERM!

Though on paper she seems to be a renowned doctor who had attained great success and recognition in her field. However, behind her impressive credentials and accomplishments, there lay a flaw that was easily noticeable – a distinct lack of empathy and professionalism.

This doctor seemed to lack the basic ability to connect on a compassionate level, leaving me feeling misunderstood and neglected during my time of need and excruciating pain with no medication at hand. She treated me with a condescending attitude, belittling me and dismissing my concerns without providing the care and support I deserved. Her behavior left me feeling unheard and invalidated, as my worries and anxieties were brushed aside. Her callousness was evident in her actions, as she prioritized her own ego and reputation over the well-being of those seeking her expertise.

She seemed to relish in enforcing her authority and making me feel inferior, rather than nurturing a trusting and collaborative doctor-patient relationship. However, amidst this bleak picture, it is important to remember that not all doctors are the same. While this particular doctor may have exuded mean and callous behavior, the medical profession is filled with countless caring and empathetic professionals. It is crucial to seek out doctors who display compassion, understanding, and professionalism. Taking the time to research doctors, read reviews, and seek recommendations can help you find a practitioners who will truly provide you with the support you need during their medical journeys.

“My experience with Sonobello Tyson started off very well. The nurses and receptionist were attentive, and appear to be listening with all ears to the desires that I wanted. However, the day of the procedure, Dr. Marfat was a little short and irritated w/ my anxiety. The surgery was short and I later found out that only 3 lbs of fat was removed. More fat should have been take out, especially in my lower abdomen . I am extremely disappointed with my results as of now. At my 3 month mark appoint the nurse shared that I may have another layer of fat that just wasn’t reached. Isn’t that the purpose of this surgery to reach and take out stubborn fat. My results aren’t what I envisioned to be at this point. Knowing my body and completely changing my diet and exercise, I’ll need another round to get what I want and initially paid for. However , I will continue with doing my part. Hopefully by the 6month mark I’ll see what I paid for.”

“I am very disappointed with my results. When I went back to the doctor after surgery, he said that way more skin should have been pulled and cut off. The doctor said he would happily do a correction for free that he would have the manager call me to schedule. No one called so I called back several times and they said they did not have availability and that the girl who scheduled the corrections was not in and an plethora of excuses each time I called. After time had passed they refused and said I had to pay to get this done because a year had passed and they didn't see any note from the original doctor saying I needed a correction. During one of the calls they said they'd refund me $1,500 but that's nothing compared to what I paid or will have to pay another doctor to do my correction. After trying to get this resolved and calling various times I gave up. I would not recommend them to anyone given that if your surgery isn’t done well or your results aren’t good, they will not take responsibility and correct them.”

“My experience has been so great frm the moment I walked into the office, that I was having "too good to be true" syndrome and hesitated to put my review awaiting the "let down". Well I am just over 1 month post op and I have not been deeply disappointed yet (thought they were supposed to send me a smaller phase 2 garment and I never received it). Lane was a pleasure to work with in making my decision and assured me that the surgeon she was placing me with fit my personality and would give me the results I was seeking. She was spot on. Dr Dawson might not be everyone's "cup of tea" as he's not very talkative but very direct and thorough. Even with a foggy mindset during surgery, I remember feeling at ease the entire time and my results have not disappointed. Very smooth and even incision and a healing journey I couldn't have planned better. The follow-up nursing staff has been just as helpful and supportive s the front desk (before they get your money). I am so glad that I took this journey to get my body back after having birthed and raised 3 kids. Definitely worth it and so happy Dr Dawson was my surgeon. He was a TOP NOTCH professional. ”

“Post op day 12, U/L abdomen, waist, bra roll and Abex. After seeing so much SB on TV and Social Media I did my research and decided to go for consultation. I had a great meet with Ms Lane, she answered all my questions. I decided to go for it. I eventually met with Dr Allison, (I had done my research on him prior to meet). Dr Allison was very patient, answered my questions, explained the procedure. Day of procedure, met again with Dr Allison, he mapped my body and explained procedure. I had now added inner thighs and arms,, he explained that as much as he would love to do all those body parts, best to have in 2 sessions, he explained the rationale and I so much appreciated that, any other surgeon would have just done it all. I did not feel a thing during the whole process. Woke up after the procedure dressed in my faja. I took prescribed pain meds for 3 days. Pain resolves but the discomfort of swelling and compression. I am almost 2 weeks and very happy with my results, still swollen, compressing, massage, hydrating, and walks. I am so happy I did this and thankful to the whole SB Tysons corner team. I am particularly grateful to Dr Allison for his professionalism, for the perfect Abex incision and, for the follow up phone call. Thank you!”

“They will tell you this procedure is painless and let me tell you if have Dr Dawson at this location it is not. It was pretty awful to bear I would describe as a 6/10 pain for two hours. I told dr Dawson I was in pain and he told me that it was all in my head and if I didn’t think about it I wouldn’t be in pain. He did not offer more anesthesia or anything. He also told me that because I didn’t want to go through the pain of diet and exercise I had to go through this pain.

They took off so much skin I can’t even stand straight and my result is horrendous. Dr Dawson is a butcher with no bed side manner. I have a scar across my entire body so I don’t know how I will wear a bikini again even if in six months I get a good result. I feel misled about this whole process.”

“Be prepared to be herded in an out on an unprofessional money-making assembly line. My wife was sent home after her procedure with a male XXL garment that was hanging baggy off of her body. She had no compression whatsoever for eight days after the procedure. She was incredibly swollen and miserable. When she went in for her first post-op appointment, the nurse asked her where was her compression binder and compression garment. She answered, "What compression binder?" What compression garment?" The nurse then provided her with a compression binder and ordered her (to be shipped to our home) a compression garment - after eight days of pain and discomfort. Totally unacceptable service!”

“This place is like cattle call. They get your money, rush you through the procedure. I was bleeding and could not speak with a clinician for weeks after my procedure. The doctor was has zero bedside manner, he was so rude and downright cruel to me. I had to urinate during my procedure and both the doctor and nurse was mad because I had to go to the bathroom. Overall my results are coming along. But stay clear of this facility. Dr. Dawson need to retire. He is to evil to be a doctor

This is a expensive procedure but the aftercare does not exist. Do not expect anything beyond getting gutted open.

The best part is the receptionist Robert. The other person does nothing but ignore you and leave you on hold, she is terrible. The one star is for the look.”

“I had my initial consultation with Lane who explained everything to me to the point that I left there ready for the procedure. Whenever I had more questions or needed help she was ALWAYS helpful. I went for my preop appointment and boy was I nervous but by the time I left there nurse Janeris and doctor Baraki had made me feel better. All the questions I had at the moment were answered. No one seemed to blow me off at all. As a matter of fact nurse Janerks and Dr. Baraki had to stay late because of me and they never acted irritated or tried to rush me. They took their time with me to ensure I was well. Come surgery day (next day), I got there in high spirits because I had most of my questions answered. The ones I had forgotten Dr. Baraki had told me to write them down and bring them back. He sat there and answered every single one of them. I was more than satisfied with each answer. He did not try to rush me because of schedule. He ensured I was well first. That day I worked with nurse Annalise. She was so funny and welcoming. She really took care of me from the moment she took me from the waiting area to even after the procedure (which went super super well. Didn’t feel any pain just a little pressure). I know some people might look at this review and say it is too good to be true but I beat you to it because I have already said my experience was too good to be true yet it is true. Thank you so so so much Tyson’s Corner Sono Bello. A special thank you to Lane for assuring me things will be well, nurses Annalise and Janeris for the amazing treatment and assistance, and Dr Baraki for the last minute procedure. “I had Smart Lipo on my midsection and to say my experience was unacceptable would be an understatement! After about a month, I knew that my results were not what I wanted but I was assured it was just swelling. My experience with Sonobello Tysons has not been acceptable and I've shared with this location that I am not happy and was told there was nothing they could do until after my 6 month follow up (which I'm still waiting to schedule because no one answers the phone).

My initial surgery was with Dr. Dawson in August 2022. I was warned that his bedside manner was not the greatest but I was ok with that because I was assured that he was the best! Now, fast forward 6 months later, I've gone to every follow up appointment and expressed that my results are uneven and I am not happy. I've waited on hold for countless hours, and I'm still waiting to schedule an appointment to figure out how to cash in on their "satisfaction guaranteed" claim because I was told I couldn't do anything until 6 months after my procedure.

This location turns over staff at an incredible rate and I have no idea if these people are quitting or being terminated but the service is not up to par for an establishment that works with people on such an intimate procedure. During the 6 months I've been healing & waiting, I've spoken to nurses who were very kind but did not give me accurate information which led to fibrosis and thousands of dollars spent at my masseuse trying to correct a problem I never should have had in the first place.

After my surgery in August, my top complaint was that I was not prepared efficiently. I'm a very thorough person so I read all the information I was given and I asked questions during the consult. However, none of that prepared me for the questions I didn't know to ask. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have chosen Sonobello! I prefer a more complete and thorough experience that I just couldn't get there. The best part of my experience has been being able to connect with Michelle in the Silver Spring office. Although she doesn't work at the Tysons location, she always finds a way to connect me with the people I need to be connected with and doesn't make me feel like a nuisance when I'm expressing my concerns! I hope they appreciate her because in my book, she's the only good thing they got going for them right now!!

If the review helps at least 1 person, it was worth the time spent! The risk is yours to take but I wish you all the best in making your choice!”

“Went for initial consultation and met with the office manager? Instead of the surgeon who cleared me right away for the surgery. Odd . She told me that I had to take the addictive Xanax and opioid prior to surgery , she said I will be injected with a blood pressure spiking medicine to separate fat . Total cost after discount 13k , financing available but i have to pay $2500 out of pocket.

I’m very concerned that these people are prescribing opioids knowing that 100s of people are dying from it every day. I rather have fat belly then die under sugary with all them dangerous medication they want me to take and inject me with dangerous meds that may cause me to have a stoke… And $13k for lipo section? I pass . I suggest you do the same.”

“From the moment I met with my Care Coordinator, Michelle W. I knew that Sonobello would be the place for me. All questions were answered effortlessly and without agitation.
The same goes for Dr. Nickodem, Annalise (Nurse) and all other office staff who assisted with my care before and after surgery.
Dr. Nickodem and staff were attentive during surgery & advocated for me even when I was silent about my discomfort. They were encouraging and gentle. Dr. Nickodem asked if I would like to see the fat removed as she proceeded with each step and talked throughout the procedure making me feel involved.
Aftercare instructions were explained in great detail and I was encouraged to call with any additional questions that I may have.
Although swollen, I can already see a great new shape forming and I am on 2 days post op. I have already received my Stage 2 garment in the mail and am excited to see how much my body changes from now until my one week post op appointment.

“My journey with Sono Bello in Tysons has been nothing less than fantastic! Beginning with a warm welcome from Alma at the front desk to the care after my procedure.

My initial consultation was with Lane. I can’t write enough positive words to describe her. Her outgoing and happy demeanor immediately put my nerves at ease, as did her knowledge and compassion for my well being. She stayed in touch throughout the entire process, which made me feel special vs. feeling like just a “Sale”.

The next interactions I had were with the pre-op medical assistant, Yheune, Nurse Clinical Manager, Mel, and OR nurse Dez. All of them were compassionate, kind, and patient. They gave me time to ask all my questions and express any concerns that I may have had regarding surgery. With their support and caring, my anxiety dissipated.

Now I would like to talk about pre-op and surgery day with Dr. Dawson. Now if you are like me, you read previous reviews. Quite frankly, I would like to challenge the reviews that portrayed a negative impression of him. On the contrary, I found him to be professional and candid throughout the entire process, which I appreciated immensely. Some complained that he wasn’t warm etc. I think perhaps his professional demeanor was confused with him not caring, but I totally disagree. Not only did he perform my surgery with perfect skill, he personally followed up with me the next day to see how I was feeling. I had to go back two times to fix the situation and go back under anesthesia twice due to their mistakes, and they still did not do a good job. I asked for a callback, and it took a week for them to call back, and I had to cancel my surgery date because they were not faxing over my documents. “Dr.N was my doctor and she was straight forward with how the procedure was going to happen and what I could expect during it. During the consult she advised me of what she thought I needed to have done to get closer to the results I wanted. Although, they kept trying to push for me to have skin removal, I was adamant that I did not need that, she respected my decision and prepared me for what I was going to have done. (It felt great to know my body and return after the first week and have the staff tell me I was right with my decision to not have the skin removed because it wasn’t needed)
Fina was great! She was my follow up nurse and she gave me realistic expectations of what was needed to complete my journey.
My only complaints were not seeing the doctor after the procedure, and the lack of consideration on those having to travel over two hours for appointments. They didn’t try to accommodate times that would be easier for those of us having to travel. I had appointments that would require me to leave home at 5 in the morning because I live in Richmond VA. and went to the Tyson’s location.
My biggest complaint is their price and their financing company. ”

Dr. Nickodem called me at home to check on me. I thought that was a wonderful touch. Alma helped in the procedure room and kept me safe and well. On 03/03/22, I went for my post-procedure and met Fina Malave. She was so lovely and upbeat. She had me laughing and feeling so good. Listen to me and my concerns and answer every question with knowledge. Give me helpful advice on what is happening to my body and what to do to help it get better. Email me later to check on me as well. I emailed her about something, and she responded in an excellent, timely manner. On 03/15/22, I had my second procedure with Dr. Nickodem and Erin. Last time they took excellent care of me. On 03/24/22 I saw Fina again for the follow-up from my second procedure, and she was still the same happy, loving, and helpful person. On 04/04/22, I went for my one-month post-procedure with Mellanie, and she was as wonderful as the others.
 All I can say about all the people I met in Sono Bello McLean, VA, is that they are the BIGGEST CHEERLEADERS you can have and a support group. They all have made me feel like I was the only person they were working on, like a Celebrity.

“I took my wife into Sono Bello for a 2nd procedure. The doctor was great. He did everything he was supposed to do so I am not going to list his name and associate him with this negative review. The post surgery appointment is the issue as well as the policies the nurse sited to my wife about post surgery concerns. Sono Bello specifically says to contact them and come in for post operation concerns. My wife had some concerns over the weekend with her resting heart rate increasing. On Monday March 28th I called and asked to have her appointment moved up to a sooner date. I handed my wife the phone, she explained her concerns to whomever I had on the phone. The lady explained her issues could be due to missing electrolytes and that she should drink some pedialyte or Gatorade. She did not tell my wife they would not be able to help her with this concern if she went in for a post operation appointment. Her appointment was scheduled for the next morning at 0930.

We live 2 hours from Sono Bello. However, the experience from the first procedure was great so it was only logical for my wife to return as a repeat customer. After my wife explained her issues to the head nurse, she told my wife they could not assist her. They do not do blood work and will not delve into her issues. She recommended my wife go to Urgent Care or to her Primary Care. Had we been informed of this we would have driven her to a hospital or urgent care, not 2 hours to Sono Bello. My wife was stunned as she had a resting pulse over 100 and was really concerned. My guess is that these appointments are just feel good appointments to make you feel good about the operation. In this case if they cannot actually help you with concerns there is no point in making any appointments with Sono Bello post operation.

After visiting Urgent Care, we discover that Arnica Montana (given to my wife by Sono Bello) is not good for people with heart conditions or high blood pressure. This office knew my wife had a history of hypertension and she had been controlling it through diet and exercise. Arnica montana side effects are rapid heart rates and it affects blood pressure. If the nurse was not so quick to dismiss my wife and would have just looked over her chart she would have known it was a bad idea for them to recommend for her to take arnica montana with a history of hypertension.

The customer service has really gone down at this place. There are still a few great people here so it disheartens me leave such a negative review. However if Sono Bello's policy is to not actually assist customers with post operation concerns, this should be stated up front.

“I had the MOST TRAUMATIC experience at this sono bello. Dr. Konrad Dawson was my surgeon whom I highly do NOT recommend. From the very first day I met him his bedside manner was just terrible. My surgery was rescheduled 3 times. Which was an incredible inconvenience. Day of surgery Dr. Dawson spoke ill of another surgeon in front of me and then asked why I wasn't asleep yet from the meds they gave 20 minutes prior. Xanax doesn't make me sleepy. So I was awake for the entire surgery. I felt every inch of my procedure. When said it was painful I was told to be quiet. He was so cold and mean he scared me. I was visibly shaking and the nurse wiped the tears I cried. I was sobbing the entire time. He does not care about his patients. I was able to speak to someone about him and she ensured me that wasnt normal. But if you google his name his reviews are TERRIBLE. I should have done more research before I chose this place. Be careful with this place and make sure you have the right surgeon. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I did!!!!”

Every plastic surgeon I’ve been to since for revision consultations looks at me and says you get what you pay for. I have 10 incision marks that healed horribly that are over an inch in diameter. Maria was so nice, understanding, and sweet. Don’t get me wrong everyone was nice but Maria went above and beyond and I really appreciate that.
I only gave 4 stars because of me needing a revision. I can’t wait to see my results after my revision. And I definitely recommend Sonobello to anyone because they stand by their policies as far as customer satisfaction”

“Five days post-op and I've had a pretty great experience to date. Like others, I want my consultant Lane to be my new best friend and the surgeon, Dr Marefat was phenomenal. He's short on small talk and pleasantries if you need that sorta thing, but I got the sense that he truly wanted the most beautiful outcome possible for me. Importantly the procedure was mostly painless (some pain is to be expected but I managed through it just fine and Dr Marefat was very sensitive to any discomfort) and the recovery isn't as bad as I feared.

Fast forward: I'm puffy and swollen but really digging the results. Removing one star since I haven't gotten a follow-up call from Sonobello since my surgery. Feels a little like they took their money off the nightstand and rolled out. But overall - happy camper over here. I can live without the second date. ”

“10 months post op, and finally got to see the doctor (after weeks of being rescheduled). I had some concerns, and the moment he stepped in, he said "i dont even know why i'm here". As if i wasn't important or my concerns. All of my concerns were brushed away and he handled it very unprofessionally. The nurse was kind, but it seemed like sono bello just wanted my money and once they got it i was tossed aside, ignored, pushed back and neglected. I wish there was more honesty from the beginning. Im not happy with my results. But sono bello advertises as if they actually care about your results. Please be more honest with people with results and stop rushing to take people's money. This is a life changing surgery and for those few that wont look like the commercials or ads, they obviously wont advertise it. So the next person considering this, do your research and consider other clinics that are not big Corporate chains.”

“When I was just planning the procedure I had many doubts and concerns. However, the stuff and doctors were very helpful and professional. The process was explained from the beginning till the end and till now, almost two weeks after surgery I am still having tips and advices from sono Bello team to have better experience in healing and getting the goal I want.
Dr. Allison did a great job during procedure, because again it’s not even 2 weeks after surgery I definitely see results are going to be great!
I can’t say the procedure is painful I would say you just have some unpleasant feeling. During the procedure though all the stuff is right there to have your back in any case possible.
All the appointments before and after procedure were professional and helpful. The atmosphere during visits was very welcoming. Any questions or concerns they have an answer for everything.
Today I had a post op with Melanie. She is just amazing! Helpful, professional, nice, polite and very positive person. Any question I had she had an answer. Explaining everything that was going on with my body almost two weeks after procedure and helpful tips to not only maintain it in a good shape but how to get there. How to work with swelling and general recommendations.
I had a great experience with Sono Bello and would definitely recommend it. Services are offered and explained but it’s only up to you what do you want to do. They trying to work not only with their schedule but with the patients schedule too.”

“Don’t waist you time I got appointment one month ahead and when I show up 15 min before my appointment , I sat there for 45 min and the front desk lady sent two other people behind me first she called me that we have only one person for consult and she can’t take you today ,I asked for manager she came out and she raise her voice said what you want me to do the consult lady is fully booked , I said it’s not my problem I got an appointment and I have to do my consultation she told me do what ever you want to do ,really I never had this experience in my whole life , disrespecting the client and be rude , except they took me right away she turn her back on me and walk away , they don’t know how to manage appointments how they will do the surgery, if you want to be in a big trouble and regret about your decision this is the place and you really can be disrespectful and disappointed, the consult lady call me and she apologize and said we are nation wide and I’m the only one here to do consultation it’s not my problem hire more staff or hire a manager to manage the appointments or teach the staff how to work , if any doctors have these kind of staff something is really wrong with the whole team , don’t go Here or at any sono Bello .”

“I can’t thank enough Dr. Allison for being so supportive all throughout the surgery! He would walk you through the process, let you know what he is doing, asks you how you feel, funny and will make conversations to get your mind at ease. Nurse Dez is so patient & all smiles even though I think I was late coming in (I thought to get there 7am anytime, which I did, but it should be one hour before is the expected time to come in), she still did not make me feel to hurry up. Very accommodating. Nurse Abby is so sweet and very informative for the post op instructions! Great experience so far!

David & Maria have been very pleasant, especially when I have a last minute schedule problem that they have to move and find a time/date for me, whether its probably from someone who cancelled or just tried to squeeze me in on that day.
Right now, I am on my first day postop. So far just following what they told me, taking my meds on time and hydrating real good! I love what I see so far (even though I know I still have the swelling but OMG I see a great difference already, even my hubby is smiling!)”

“My Sonobello experience at Tysons with Dr. David Allison was exceptionally great. His bedside manners are great. Experienced, Knowledgeable and provided best in class service. He did an amazing job with my EX and my lipo. He was extremely patient with me during the pre-op meeting. I asked a ton of questions. I even asked about his experience with keloids and women of color. He answered every question I had. I am 6 months post-op and I can 100% see the difference. I also had an outstanding experience with my nurse Abby. I wish I had her from the very beginning. Abby gave me great encouragement and insight on the healing process. I have to be honest and say yes, this was painful and the results greatly rely on you. You have to put the work in after the procedure. If you make no change to your lifestyle don't expect amazing results. The doctors work is only 50% the other 50% comes from you. In addition wearing the proper garment is extremely important. This is the one part I feel Sonobello as a company can improve on is the total transparency of the after care and there is cost in the after care as well.

Overall good experience and you absolutely must do your research to decide what is best for you. Be realistic.”

“I don't have numbers but I have a testimony. I did have a complication (cellulitis), but that is possible with any procedure that opens the skin, so...I can't even be upset. Affordable is key! Minimum pain afterwards (maybe at most 5/10). Abby (nurse) brought me down to earth today...kinda shut down the thought of doing it again. After I did it, not 1, but 2 (revision) times. They say, once you nip, it's hard to stop... "Behind my skin, is organ." So, unless I desire to kill myself (which I don't), I have to stop somewhere, preferably now. So, I'm good "enough."”

“I had an appointment today March 18 at Tysons corner I went to my pre-surgery appointment yesterday March 17 and was informed that I wasn’t able I wasn’t going to be able to have the surgery today March 18 because the surgeon wasn’t able to perform the surgery correct he said I will be left with a sack on my chest or like an empty bag I had a consultation on 15 March I was told that I was a perfect candidate so I paid $5200 right then and there and I took off work for seven days just for the healing process just to find out that I’m not having the surgery the day befor and that I will have to have a refund this is the most inconvenience/heartbreaking thing I’ve ever experience I really wanted to surgery and I wish when I went to my consultation that I was told the correct thing now they’re saying and I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refundAnd I’m not happy at all I was told that someone was going to give me a call back from corporate office within the hour yesterday March 17 and no one contacted me I wish my time wasn’t wasted but it was and now what was suppose to be the happiest day of my life is turning into hell, what I wished happens is that When you have a consultation that there should be a doctor present my time was truly wasted and now I have seven days off of work for nothing and I can’t go back to work so I’m losing money all around I would never go back here for anything”

“My overall impression I would not recommend this place or procedure. Two months into my surgery and minimal changes. Your initial appointment is not with a MD, you are ask to sign a contract and at your preop appointment is when you see the MD. My procedure was painful, I could hear myself screaming help help, I was not aware on my initial appointment that I would be awake and would only be given ativan and a pain med. As I type this I can feel my emotions just reflecting two months later no changes. Never saw MD after surgery my post surgery appointment was with a nurse. I was told to wear a garment for 6 weeks. It is two months and I am still swollen in my abdomen. I weigh more than I have ever in my life. I would never do or recommend this. I am so disappointed.”

“I don’t normally write reviews but I had such a good experience so far that I wanted to share! I got the lipo with skin removal with Dr. Dawson and I’m so pleased! It’s only been a little over 24 hours since my procedure but I can already see a change. He may be a man of very few words (lol) but his work is amazing and he’s been doing this for many years! I was also blessed to have the nurse Alice (Ali) with be during the procedure. She is a SWEETHEART ! She made me feel calm and reassured me everything was going to be just fine, and she was right! I didn’t feel any pain during my procedure and both Dr. Dawson and Ali made me feel comfortable. This is so important to me because I’ve never had any type of surgery before so I was really scared. We listened to some good music, we sang! Or maybe I was the only one singing lol we had full conversations and laughed! If I had to do this all over again I would! “I wanted to wait until I had gone through the complete process before I gave a review. I am one week post-out and now I can post my reviews.
The consultation with Courtney and Kayla were very helpful. They were very knowledgeable. I was able to get all my questions answered.
The pre-opt at Tysons corner went very good also. The doctor (Saeed Marefat) came in and explain the procedure also gave recommendations on what I needed to have done if I wanted certain results. I ended up adding another area to my procedures based on the doctors recommendation. Very glad I did.
The day of surgery was a little unexpected. I wasn’t aware of the level of pain I would feel while going through the procedure. Maybe I have a low tolerance for pain. After the surgery, I am sore. I am able to resume my normal activity with limitation. The staff at both locations were excellent!”

“I really wanted to love this place! I was so excited about getting my procedure. Now I have this thing with lidocaine, it doesn't numb me. For some reason my body just absorbs it and the numbing is ineffective. I have to use marcaine (same family, just slightly different ingredients). I was super upfront with the gal I had my consult with and asked specifically if they would be able to use something else other than lidocaine to numb me. She positively assured me they had multiple ways of numbing and it wouldn't be a problem. Great! I handed over my credit for over 6 thousand dollars and eagerly awaited my surgery date. Mind you, I live over an hour away so driving there for a consult was time consuming but I didn't mind if I got the results I was hoping for. I went to my pre-op appointment. The doctor came in, asked me what I wanted. I felt he was very impatient. He actually left the room when I wasn't using the correct terms for places on the body and I wanted to get his opinion on what areas I should have done. He told me he would leave me with the tech assistant to figure it out and come back in a little while. This was after I waited in the exam room over an hour for HIM to get out of surgery... when he did come back and again asked what we were doing, I told him. Then asked again about the lidocaine to make sure he was OK using something else. He said they didn't have anything else... they only use lidocaine. Their surgical rooms aren't equipped with anything else. And there was nothing he could do so he would have to just cancel my surgery. Just like that... He shrugged his shoulders and just said "sorry, I know it sucks, and I don't like to cancel surgery. But there's nothing I can do" and promptly left. The tech apologized and suggested if they knew before about my issue with lidocaine, they could have told me and not wasted my time. I told her I had been very specific in informing during the first consultation... she just said "oh..." I was escorted out in silence. They pointed to the exit sign and left me to leave on my own. I was humiliated honestly. . I really felt like the manager should have said something, assured me that I would receive a full refund etc. But nothing. They said I would get a call from them later, never happened. I finally called them to ask. The receptionist said someone would call me back after she could only refund 1000 of my money. No one called... I did receive a check for the full amount. but I was so disappointed in general with it all. Perhaps not all locations are like that. But I definitely won't be going back to this one. I felt like they could less about me after they got the money and then afterwards when they had to give it back 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😞”

“My experience was Fantastic-You just have to have the courage to come to Sonobello and admit that you need help.. Their staff was fantastic. They even helped arranged transportation to and from the procedure (My wife had to attend her favorite uncle’s funeral in Ohio)—-Thank you Carson ( the receptionists). My surgeon Dr Ann Nicodem assured me that I would have an excellent outcome and she was correct. I am delighted— no more love handles. If you follow the directions that you are given—pre -op and post -op , that coupled with their 24/7 customer support—- you will have “MINIMAL DISCOMFORT”. Your faith must be stronger than your fear. The Nurse (Amanda) who was assigned to my case , did thorough examinations periodically checking my incisions for signs of healing and possible infections. So I called sonobello Tysons corner & spoke to Lane. She immediately connected with me we spoke like 2 old friends, it didn’t feel like a sales transaction it felt like I was being heard. I explained my urgency 2 do the procedure if the cost was right in 2 weeks. What I like about Lane is she didn’t make any promises but said she would do her best to accommodate me. “Words just cannot suffice for how amazing and wonderful Dr. Nickodem and nurse Amanda are.
I was rather nervous but they both were encouraging and calming.

Dr. Nickodem answered all the questions I had, she was patient , kind , attentive, pleasant, respectful and definitely respectable

. I researched and read about her online prior to my procedure and the great comments and online kudos just didn’t do her justice.

She has an unparalleled bedside manor and she even kept conversation to help keep me distracted during my procedure. One of the things I liked the most is that during my or procedure, she explained what area she was doing next and asked me periodically how I was feeling.
Her bedside manor speaks volumes for the type of doctor she is.

Amanda.... just an absolute great nurse. She knew I was nervous walked me through just breathing and staying calm. Prior to my procedure she asked if I had eaten and provided me with crackers and water to ensure I would not get sick.

She treated me like a person and not as though I was just another patient. She was kind to me. When she provided me with the cocktail of meds she explained which each one was and what it was for. She assured me that I was in good hands and even said if I needed to she would hold my hand literally. She played a huge part in calming my nerves.

I left the waiting area and entered the surgical room feeling more calm and confident that both Dr. Nickodem and Nurse Amanda would take great care of me.

My sister is scheduling a procedure at Sonno Bello and I truly hope and pray that she gets you nurse Amanda & Dr. Nickodem.”

“I went in expecting minimal results ok, what I didn't expect was a botched surgery. I was told I had one of the best surgeons in the practice but Dr. Morris left me lopsided. They kept telling that I was on the low end of the healing curve and it would get better but it never did. Even my nurse Angie had to admit after while that something went wrong and that was unusual for Dr. Morris but no one ever fixed the issue. I went into depression for a while and now I'm sitting here just of two years later still with a lopsided stomach and i don't have the money to fix it and i am embarrassed to even wear a swim suit. I wish that I hadn't done the surgery if I knew I would have ended up like this.”

“From the person who scheduled my consult appointment to the initial consult & my main nurse, they were wonderful. But my situation is different. I have pre-existing physical issues & it's a shame that I have the same complaint no matter if its a physical therapist or Sono Bello's doctor. Neither take my pre-existing handicaps into consideration when discussing the recovery process. To not get into my HIPPA info specifically, envision a doctor asking you to do a push-up BUT you don't have arms or legs. It makes you feel like they are insensitive to your specific situation. The other part which is weird, is that Sono Bello's process is: 1. Consult appointment (no doctor attends) 2. Pre-operation appt (doctor attends) 3. Procedure appt 4. Follow-up appts BUT at the consult appt which doesn't include a doctor letting you know if you're even a candidate for the procedure, Sono Bello want you to pay & sign a contract that day prior to knowing if you're even approved nor what specifics you even need for YOUR desired results. Ex: you think all you need is some lipo but you're told later you need more than that for YOUR desired results which will go over your budget, if you back out, Sono Bello keeps $900. In my opinion, you need a physician at the initial consult to discuss YOUR desired results & let you know what that entails so the consultant can give you a realistic fee amount prior to you being on the hook for $900. I've had plenty of surgeries but this was the 1st that a physician didn't exam you on initial consult. Outside of the pre-op visit with the doctor & preliminary nurse being insensitive to my individual situation, on ALL other occasions, it was excellence in all they do. I'm still in recovery, so I can't discuss results yet”

“The first contact- the front desk was very professional. Ms. Erin came out to great me and she was so awesome. She was very comforting from the start. She asked me what I wanted done. She made some suggestions and showed me some results. She talked to me about the procedures and what to expect and THEN she actually got the doctor, who was there for another reason to see me!!!!!!!!
He spoke with me for a few minutes and told me what to expect. That and Erin’s comforting manner made me know I had come to the right place. Hold on! I’m not finished. “Take it from me, do not go here. It’s been almost two years since I had my lipo on my flanks and abs. Because of my dr (Dr. Morse) I had to do’s second surgery to fix his mistakes. I asked for my love handles to be suctioned and he suctioned out my waist to give me a hour glass figure. I’m a man btw, I would never ask for that body shape. I told him and showed him and even had him re marker my body before the first surgery and still I had to wait a year looking awe full before I could go back to have it fixed. The nurses where puzzled by my womanly figure and to add to it all it my love handles look significantly worse. The customer service here is terrible. To there defense every person there is new and doesn’t know what there doing so to no training. There sales people are NOT doctors! They have no idea what there talking about. There just there to sell you the procedures. DO YOU RESEARCH!!! don’t make the same mistake I did.”

“I’m not impressed with my results. After my procedure I was able to reduce my BMI by 4 and lost 15lbs. However, I still have my pooch with no sculpting. I came back for all of my follow up appointments and finally they said it would be another $4000 to remove more fat and give me the results I’m looking for. I decline to pay the cost of another procedure. The commercials are great but it’s not real results. My friends say to go to NYC or ATL.”

“***LENGTHY but HONEST and ACCURATE***
So, I am a Black male, of 48. Most of my life, I've been fairly active. I ran track from the 7th grade through my Senior year of high school and a year after when I enlisted in the US Army. For the most part, that kept me in pretty decent shape, as I have never had an issue with weight. After leaving the army, I was still slightly active as a young man in my 20s and someone who still has a natural walk that is much faster than most people. After a while, I became less active as I aged and my metabolism slowed. On to Sono Bello. I know my body very well and it has always reacted differently then most. I said to myself that for my 50th birthday, my present to myself would be to be in the best shape I have ever been in my adult life. Well, life added more weight in less time than I anticipated and I since I've always hated the gym (even with the positive results it gave), I knew I needed motivation and help. I saw the Sono Bello commercial and made a call. I was so excited about my appointment until the night before when I read some not so favorable reviews (while keeping in mind that my body and experiences are always different). I am a stickler for time and accuracy. When I arrived for my consultation, it appeared that I wasn't scheduled with the concierge and that was a red flag. Once I was escorted upstairs, I was warmly greeted by a gorgeous young lady named Krystle who made me feel welcomed and invited. She escorted me to a room, where I filled out paperwork and waited. It seemed as if I waited for 30 minutes or so, which to me was annoying, disrespectful and far too long for an appointment. Just as I was about to leave (as I thought it was a sign), someone came to get me. I don't remember her name but she was very friendly and informative, it almost felt forced but we both had high energy because I was very excited as well. We made the appointment for the McLean office. They followed up with phone calls, information, what to expect and all that. Very nice, warm, and professional. I arrive at the office, which is beautiful and was again warmly greeted with great smiles and great energy by Kendra and Shar. They were even open to my corny jokes and we all shared very positive energy. Once taken to the back, changed and had my vitals taken by Marnice, who was hilarious and professional, I was waiting for Dr. Dawson and could hear people constantly asking, "have you seen Dr. Dawson?" Again, I loathe excessive waiting. I think it is so disrespectful of other people's time. Finally, i did my own internal countdown and there was still no sign of Dr. Dawson. I dressed and went to the restroom before I was about to leave, again feeling like it was a sign. My nurse saw me enter the restroom and asked if I'd spoken with Dr. Dawson, to which I replied, "no". By the time I was leaving the restroom, I was told Dr. Dawson was ready for me, so I go back to the room and change again. He wasn't quite ready but I was kept busy until he arrived. Once he arrived, he quickly put me at complete ease. His energy, mannerisms and voice was very safe, commanding and father-like. He got some information from me, showed me where and what he would do and again, my excitement was on 100! Again, I received follow up calls and emails. The day of my surgery, everything ran smoothly and on time. Again, the young ladies at the front desk were amazing. The surgery itself was quite uncomfortable at times and was downright painful at times but it was bearable and I believed it would be realistically worth it. I left with thorough information on what to do and what to expect. I have so much more to share but I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS!”

“For the most part I am pleased with my experience at Sonobello. I was a bit surprised that, immediately following my procedure, there was a sense of urgency to get me out of the clinic. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I experienced dizziness and nausea following my procedure so I was allowed to stay for a little while as an IV was started.
I was also surprised at the first follow-up visit. I didn’t see the doctor, but the nurse simply took pictures and I was out the door.
I do appreciate the emails that I have been getting, noting what I may be experiencing and the fact that these feelings/sensations are normal. If it wasn’t for these emails I would feel as if I’m left on my own from this point forward. The lack of personal contact/care is disconcerting.”

Doing Lipo is something I had been considering for a while and once I made up my mind I know Sono Bello was the place I needed to do this procedure with. On Tuesday, I met with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Amid Moshyedi and his staff for my pre-op. Again, right away I knew this was the place to being doing this procedure and I really felt that I was in great hands. My doctor made some wonderful recommendations which I would not have considered if he hadn’t given me the honest feedback. Thursday was procedure day. Went in, didn’t take long before I was in a room taking my meds. The nurses explained everything and really did a wonderful job of making me feel so comfortable. My doctor was extremely professional, and did a fabulous job! I’m so happy and would highly recommend Sono Bello and particularly each and every one who I met along the way!”

As a single parent with a busy stressful lifestyle I needed a jump start on my physical transformation goals. I’m over 40, not as active as I’ve been in the past and struggled to get past a plateau of weight loss. I’ve used Sonobello to give me a kickstart. “This is a pure cosmetic market place. They do procedures with local anesthesia, but they do charge like if they will be using the service of an anesthesiologist. They wanted me to pay before I would be able to talk with the Dr. The ‘consultant’ could be more like a Macy’s counter cosmetologist than a plastic surgery specialist. Do not spend your money with this people. You can get much better and accurate results with a real plastic surgeon.”

“Very disappointed in the experience. Ms Levitt told me what my results would be which were not even close to what they actually were. Signed the papers and when I asked about the refund policy I was told once you sign the papers you can not get your deposit back if you cancel. First off, that is not ethical and really quite shady.
Schedule date for pre-operative was wrong, surgery time I was told was in correct
I now have to have the procedure re done so hopefully the 2nd time is the charm
My appointment was 12/12 and I had to make 3 calls to get in touch with the office manager, Amy to get it rescheduled . Why would I have to call three times? I am assuming the office manager Amy either didn't get the messages or she had no interest in ever returning my call.
BUYER BEWARE!! Once they get your money they have no interest in helping you regarding providing the service and customer service you purchased.”

“The negative reviews for this place are a bit ridiculous. Yes, your appointment may be delayed. Do you understand the Doctors are conducting procedures while you are waiting? They can not have an exact timeline. Would you want them to cut short on you because they have another appointment?
Ladies, this is not magic! If you did not get the results you wanted, did you diet, change your lifestyle? These go hand in hand. I didn't lose much weight after, but fat was removed. Then I went to a weight loss Doctor and changed the way I eat, diet, water in-take, medication. I went in to Tyson's in May 2018. Set my appointment for procedure in June. Simultaneously I started seeing a weight loss Physician. I started at 188 pounds. By September I was down 34 pounds. By October, 40 pounds and to this day I have kept it off by changing my eating lifestyle. I am 147 pounds and now a size 6, possibly a 4 instead of the 12/14 that I was.
Be honest with yourself. You can't get liposuction and go back to bad eating. Fast food, fried chicken, pasta breads, soda, etc. are not going to help you!”
