“i would recommend Annalise and Dr Hwang to anybody looking to transform their bodies. 

My husband is a veteran and was excited to see Dr Hwang was being offered as a surgeon. You see apart from being a surgeon here at Sonebello, Dr Hwang is also a surgeon at Walter Reed. Dr Hwang is known for his professionalism and care of patients.

My interaction with him started with pre-op, where he answered all my husbands’ and my questions regarding the procedure and any side effects. It continued with the surgery, where he reassured me I was in capable hands and there was nothing to worry about. 

I had my surgery and he followed up with my caregiver (my husband) and explained what to expect in the healing process and how to go about taking care of myself. I will see him again post-surgery to gauge how I’m doing.

Enter Annalise…. she has been remarkable with her care. Making sure I had all my meds and supplies available. Reassuring me what to expect during my healing and answering questions I hadn’t asked Dr. Hwang. As a former patient herself she had first hand knowledge of what to expect and that put me at ease. She has continued to follow up with phone calls and emails. ”

“"I had a tummy tuck here and I insisted that my stomach skin be pulled tight, but I'm not satisfied at all with the outcome of the surgery. Neither the fats are completely pulled nor my skin. My stomach skin still sags and trembles. I've reached out and messaged a lot, but no one cared. I still can't look at myself in the mirror. I've become depressed. I endured both the pain of the surgery and the expense, but you deceived me. You didn't do what you said you would. If you didn't have the skills, why did you agree to operate on me? “SB Tysons Corner, VA Location. I had U/L Abex and Front Bra Roll in June 2023. The results were amazing. So I went back again for another procedure, inner thighs, arms, BBR, Again, amazing results. I have had positive experiences from the first day I stepped into this VA Location. The Lobby front desk personnel Brian and Abigail, very friendly, always smiling and welcoming, bottles of water at desk for clients. My Consultant Ms Lane is just wonderful, she answered all questions, explained all. My surgeon Dr Allison, sat down with me, easy to talk to, explained ,answered and addressed all. My results are AMAZING, much more than I had expected. I also received Follow up phone call from Dr Allison checking if all was well and if I had any questions. My OR Nurse Annalise –patiently explained what to expect before the procedure, the medications and effects. “I lost 60 lbs in 2021, and gained some of it back in 2023 from stress eating and moving from my home state of Texas. I lost 50 lbs towards the end of 2023 after leaving the military, and felt like my skin had lost so much elasticity from when I joined. The extra skin wasn’t melting away! I went to a consultation and Natalie made me feel very comfortable. Four days later, I was getting my surgery done by Dr. Fripp. She’s really kind, and took my anxiousness away on the day of surgery. I mentioned my nervousness to her the morning of, and she told me “I’m not nervous at all.” That’s when I took a breather, and realized I was in great hands.  Nearly three weeks later, I’m slowly getting back to my workout regimen, and the swelling has gone down immensely. Each day is progress, and my self massages are only showcasing what a great job Dr. Fripp has done as well. Emma, and the front desk at Tyson’s Corner are so sweet. They give me that southern hospitality I’ve been looking for in the DMV! If you have any problem areas, or just want to correct a few things about body, go to SonoBello! “All I can say is if you are considering an AbEx or lipo-this is the place to go. I visited several places before making my decision. I needed lipo on my outer thighs ( saddlebags) and and lipo and an AbEx on my stomach. From the first time I walked in to the day I had my procedure I couldn't have been more happier or pleased.
Starting with Lane V my consultant-she has enough patience to nail jello to a wall. She answered all my repeated phone calls and talked me through everything. She never pushed or talked me into anything-everything was my own decision.
On to Dr Nicodem and her surgical nurse Drea. Both completely fabulous the entire morning of my surgery.
They moved quickly & efficiently which gave me such a calm.
They talked me through everything they were doing & why. Before I knew it I was in the car on my way home.
Yes there were some uncomfortable parts but they were quick and bearable-nothing lasted more than a few seconds at a time-and you are pretty out of it most of the time.
I cannot wait to see my final results!”

“On the day of my pre-op appointment, it was raining pretty heavy and a staff member met my husband and I at the side door so keep us from getting soaked and having to walk to the from top the building. I appreciated the staff giving space for my husband to sit with me as well during the consultation, so he is able to ask questions to the surgeon.
Unfortunately, what prevented me giving this location a 5-star review is due to a staff members- on three accounts came and left the room while I was in pre-op attire (surgical bra and panties). My husband was not happy and had to share his irritation [in a respectful manner] the to staff.
Following our visit, I share this feedback in an appointment survey. Angie, the Patient Manager called me today, asking me to recount the situation. Her concern of the matter and of my personal experience demonstrate what management and customer service should reflect in every establishment. After a pleasant 30 minute conversation- I still rest in my final decision not to proceed with the surgery, however I am grateful for Angie's concerns and follow-up.”

“Our visit to Sono Bello Tysons Corner was marred by concerning breaches of privacy, particularly during my wife’s consultation. Despite assurances of confidentiality, we were dismayed by the repeated opening of the door while my wife was in a state of undress.

The constant interruption compromised her privacy and left her feeling exposed and uncomfortable. Despite voicing our concerns to the staff, the issue persisted, indicating a lack of regard for patient privacy and dignity.

Moreover, the rushed nature of the consultation exacerbated the situation. My wife felt unable to fully express her concerns or ask questions due to the hurried atmosphere.

Overall, our experience at Sono Bello Tysons Corner was deeply disappointing. The blatant disregard for patient privacy, coupled with the rushed consultation, raises serious concerns about the clinic’s commitment to providing a respectful and confidential environment for patients.”

My experience at Sono Bella today was positive. I was seen by a nurse named Christine, an exceptional person. She dedicated time to fully understand my concerns and addressed them to my satisfaction. I am very pleased with how Sono Bella handled and resolved my concerns.

Using Sono Bello was an excellent choice when it came to the actual performance of the surgery. I couldn't stop singing the recommendation of how good the surgery turned out. However, that's where the joy stopped. Right after surgery, post-surgery. I was let go. The ball dropped, no more attention. On the day of the surgery, they sent me home with a temporary girdle to wear. I returned for a follow-up visit a week later; everything was going well. The Assistant told me I could start exercising, and then they scheduled me for a three-month check-up. That was all I received during my checkup.
Everything looked good, but I needed advice on my next steps. There is no advice on which exercises I can do or which I cannot: nothing, nada. My sculpture started to deform, and they had mentioned at the front desk that they were sending me a new girdle. I have yet to receive it as of today, nine weeks later. I called and inquired, and they said it was coming. I finally became too exhausted to ask again. I went out and did my research and found out that there are two stages of girdles to wear. The first one is for four weeks to keep everything in place. Well, that didn't happen because I trusted they would send me the girdle and didn't research until it was too late. The second one is after four weeks; this one you wear for all your daily activities for another four weeks, depending on your doctor. Then, I received an email from Sono Bello with a YouTube video attached saying it was my six-week marker. Now I can exercise. But didn't they say it was okay to exercise during my first follow-up? Okay, so nine weeks later, my body is deformed and still hurts.
I called the front office and they wanted to sell me more products. I told them I will not be using more products until what I paid for looks how it should. They scheduled me for an appointment with a nurse the following day. I had to cancel for work related issues. They said I can speak with a virtual nurse. I agreed, and they said she would contact me within a day or two. She did contact me; only she contacted me to make an appointment five days later. I was looking for an immediate appointment, not to wait to speak with someone virtually an additional five days later. For a procedure that cost me over 10K. I have been greatly disappointed in their post-surgery follow-up. Now, instead of saying how great they are, make sure you have all the instructions in place. They need to improve with follow-up. Otherwise, you will be writing a review of how unattended they are.”

“Watching TV and saw the Sono Bello ad. It renewed my desire to complete the transformation initiated when I joined a gym and followed a dietician a few years back. I had reached the best BMI, weight and still having the same issues with the upper and lower abs. I decided to go to the free-consultation offered at the nearest site, Tysons Corner in VA. Lean Veech, consultant was very understanding and listened to all my ramble about what I have done and what I wanted to achieve. She was very supportive, caring and professional. She took her time to evaluate everything and gave me her recommendation. Including financial options that were really convenient for me. I booked the procedure and in the meantime, she called me again with BETTER financial promotions. What a sweetheart. Dr. Hwang performed the procedure and was very professional. He told me everything that was going to happen and how would I feel. It's been only a week after, and I am extremely pleased with the results I am seeing. I had the post-op with Emma Sanford and she explained where I am and how the healing process will continue. She answered all my questions and shared a lot of information about surgery day. The reception staff was very nice and helpful too. I will strongly recommend visiting Sono bello in Tysons.”

“My experience was embarrassing and traumatic and I will never go there again or any Sono Bello. I started at the Baltimore location and proceeded to Tysons for the experience of one of the plastic surgeons. My pre-op... Another procedure(s) (2) that was recommended by MD was added. The MD talked to my coordinator and she said the MD said only one was necessary at this time for the results I was looking for... I arrived on time and was called back later than my expected start time 1030 for a 1230 procedure. The MD came in and asked did you add on ------ I started to laugh because I was like something was going on and the communication was off and I was thinking to myself... I was not told everything that the MD recommended so I would be satisfied. I must say it was not about the money at all for this MD. Sonobello ... Yes all about the money and commission. Anyway, I had additional financing so I attempted to use it to get the full 360 lipo. It is almost 1 pm... An unknown person I believe her name was Stephanie was coming in asking me what I wanted to do and I told her... I thought she was helping with the process ... Nope. I called the company to determine what I needed to do to get the funding... As I was almost done a nurse came into the room, "What are you going to do, we have to push your procedure back because another patient is waiting... Okay, I have been waiting too! I became so upset and defeated... The MD came into the room because I was crying and had to ask Mellanie who finally gave me her name after she tried to cover up her messy and unprofessional behavior to leave because she was trying to tell the MD another patient was waiting and she needed to push me back... Baltimore to VA with my son and mom... Nope, I canceled and requested a refund. Then Mellanie proceeded to email the Baltimore location and try to make them the problem and gave them her interpretation of what she thought I said instead of dealing with the important issue HER POOR BEDSIDE MANNER...and to top it off she kept saying that I looked good the way I was and she was wondering why I was there... Well, I was there for me and the way I feel... Maybe I was not fat enough to be treated with respect. Thanks for nothing sono bello. They stated maybe I should go to the MD personal practice and get the results I want... What did I do to Be passed around like trash !!. I truly HATE THIS PLACE. That was not the first time they attempted to persuade me to go elsewhere!! TYSONS CORNER NEVER AGAIN and I WILL NOW TAKE YOUR ADVICE AND GO ELSEWHERE!!

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the experience I had at the Sono bello office in Tysons Corner. On February 1, 2023, I underwent a procedure at the Tysons Corner office and I feel compelled to bring to your attention the numerous issues I encountered during and after the process. Prior to the procedure, I had a consultation at the Woodbridge office in January 2023, where I was provided with information about the procedure, its cost, and other relevant details. Subsequently, I was referred to the Tysons Corner office for the pre-op appointment. During the surgery, I experienced unbearable pain and was fully awake at various points, resulting in me crying and screaming due to the excruciating pain. Despite my distress, the doctor's response was to repeatedly tell me to be quiet and even administered lidocaine medication, which unfortunately did not alleviate the pain. The pain was unbearable I felt every excision and skin removal. (WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS NOT ANIMALS TO HAVE TO TAKE THIS LEVEL OF PAIN WAS NOT . HUMANE.) The procedure lasted significantly longer than expected, approximately 4 to 5 hours, and following its completion, when the nurse helped me into a girdle, I experienced a sudden drop in blood pressure, accompanied by dizziness, nausea, and an overall feeling of unwellness. After about 20 minutes, I was prepared to leave and was placed in a wheelchair. This entire experience has left me deeply disturbed and dissatisfied with the level of care I received at your facility. I experienced following my procedure at Sonobello Immediately after returning home from the procedure, at approximately 6 PM, I began feeling very sick. With assistance, I went to the bathroom to change my gauze and suddenly started to bleed from all of my incisions, which ultimately led to me to passing out. My spouse promptly contacted Sonobello and 911, and we were instructed that I needed to be transported to the hospital. After 5 to 10 minutes, the ambulance arrived, and I was found nonresponsive in my bathtub. I was then transported from my home to the local hospital. Following numerous examinations, CPR was performed in the ambulance, and after a few hours, I was transferred from my local hospital to the nearest hospital associated with Sono Bello. After speaking with the doctor who performed the surgery, I underwent several tests and was subsequently informed that I had a blood clot in my right lung, which was determined to be a direct result of the surgery. This surgery put my life in a life-threatening situation and at risk. Given the severity of these complications, it is imperative that I seek appropriate action to address this matter and ensure that others do not face similar risks. Their negligence almost cost me my life. I was a very health person with no prior medical conditions. After 10 months of the procedure, I have continued to have severe complications in response to the surgery. Extensive medical care that required after the surgery and has been proven that all of the diagnosis and long-term effect was caused by the surgery. The surgery was not done correctly. I have a long-term deformities due to the incorrect of the way the surgery was performed.I was required to be off of work for over a month and a half per the doctor in Tyson corner from Sonobello. When the recovery time was supposed to be 1 to 5 days it put my family in a hardship in all of the medical cost that we had to pay after the surgery. I am requesting for someone to contact me immediately. I have tried to contact the office in multiple occasions and have left multiple messages to the office manager with no response even after 10 months and all the complications of after seeing the Doctor No one has taken responsibility of what had occurred to me and has not even contacted me. I am still being required to pay the surgery in full even after all that has happened. THIS COMPANY IS A MONEY SCAM THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE PATIENCE.”

“I recently had a pre-operative consultation with Sona Bella for a trisculpt procedure, and I wanted to share my experience. From the moment I arrived at the clinic, I was greeted with professionalism and a friendly atmosphere. The staff at Sona Bella, including my nurse Roysla, made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process.

Roysla, my nurse, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive during my pre-operative consultation. She took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer all of my questions, and address any concerns I had. Her expertise and genuine care for my well-being were evident, and I felt confident in her abilities to support me throughout the trisculpt process.

Additionally, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Saeed Marefat, my surgeon, during the pre-operative consultation. Dr. Marefat's expertise and experience in trisculpt procedures were immediately apparent. He took the time to listen to my goals and concerns, and he provided me with realistic expectations for the surgery. Dr. Marefat's attention to detail and commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for his patients were truly impressive.

During the consultation, Dr. Marefat thoroughly explained the surgical process, including the techniques he would use and the expected recovery timeline. His clear and concise communication style helped me feel informed and prepared for the upcoming procedure. I was impressed by his professionalism and his ability to address any concerns I had, further solidifying my trust in his expertise.

Overall, my pre-operative experience with Sona Bella, Roysla, and Dr. Marefat was exceptional. The professionalism, knowledge, and care demonstrated by the entire team have given me confidence in their ability to provide outstanding surgical care. I arrived on time and was called back later than my expected start time 1030 for a 1230 procedure. The MD came in and asked did you add on ------ I started to laugh because I was like something was going on and the communication was off and I was thinking to myself... I was not told everything that the MD recommended so I would be satisfied. I must say it was not about the money at all for this MD. Sonobello ... Yes all about the money and commission. Anyway, I had additional financing so I attempted to use it to get the full 360 lipo. It is almost 1 pm... An unknown person I believe her name was Stephanie was coming in asking me what I wanted to do and I told her... I thought she was helping with the process ... Nope. I called the company to determine what I needed to do to get the funding... As I was almost done a nurse came into the room, "What are you going to do, we have to push your procedure back because another patient is waiting... Okay, I have been waiting too! I became so upset and defeated... The MD came into the room because I was crying and had to ask Mellanie who finally gave me her name after she tried to cover up her messy and professional behavior to leave because she was trying to tell the MD another patient was waiting and she needed to push me back... Baltimore to VA with my son and mom... Nope, I canceled and requested a refund. Then Mellanie proceeded to email the Baltimore location and try to make them the problem and gave them her interpretation of what she thought I said instead of dealing with the important issue HER POOR BEDSIDE MANNER...and to top it off she kept saying that I looked good the way I was and she was wondering why I was there... Well, I was there for me and the way I feel... Maybe I was not fat enough to be treated with respect. Thanks for nothing sono bello. They stated maybe I should go to the MD personal practice and get the results I want... What did I do to Be passed around like trash !!. I truly HATE THIS PLACE. “STAY AWAY FROM DR. NICKODERM!

Though on paper she seems to be a renowned doctor who had attained great success and recognition in her field. However, behind her impressive credentials and accomplishments, there lay a flaw that was easily noticeable – a distinct lack of empathy and professionalism.

This doctor seemed to lack the basic ability to connect on a compassionate level, leaving me feeling misunderstood and neglected during my time of need and excruciating pain with no medication at hand. She treated me with a condescending attitude, belittling me and dismissing my concerns without providing the care and support I deserved. Her behavior left me feeling unheard and invalidated, as my worries and anxieties were brushed aside. Her callousness was evident in her actions, as she prioritized her own ego and reputation over the well-being of those seeking her expertise.

She seemed to relish in enforcing her authority and making me feel inferior, rather than nurturing a trusting and collaborative doctor-patient relationship. However, amidst this bleak picture, it is important to remember that not all doctors are the same. While this particular doctor may have exuded mean and callous behavior, the medical profession is filled with countless caring and empathetic professionals. It is crucial to seek out doctors who display compassion, understanding, and professionalism. Taking the time to research doctors, read reviews, and seek recommendations can help you find a practitioners who will truly provide you with the support you need during their medical journeys.

“My experience with Sonobello Tyson started off very well. The nurses and receptionist were attentive, and appear to be listening with all ears to the desires that I wanted. However, the day of the procedure, Dr. Marfat was a little short and irritated w/ my anxiety. The surgery was short and I later found out that only 3 lbs of fat was removed. More fat should have been take out, especially in my lower abdomen . I am extremely disappointed with my results as of now. At my 3 month mark appoint the nurse shared that I may have another layer of fat that just wasn’t reached. Isn’t that the purpose of this surgery to reach and take out stubborn fat. My results aren’t what I envisioned to be at this point. Knowing my body and completely changing my diet and exercise, I’ll need another round to get what I want and initially paid for. However , I will continue with doing my part. Hopefully by the 6month mark I’ll see what I paid for.”

“I had dr Nickodem, she was amazing. Was very honest during my pre-procedure exam. She called me that evening. See if I was OK after the procedure. The one thing I did was have the procedure and being realistic. Overall, the staff was helpful. I felt the doctor and I communicated well. The only reason I am not giving, this location a five star review is because I feel like there is not enough done about aftercare. There are so many things that come up post procedure that were never discussed. Overall I’m very happy. ”

“I am very disappointed with my results. When I went back to the doctor after surgery, he said that way more skin should have been pulled and cut off. The doctor said he would happily do a correction for free that he would have the manager call me to schedule. No one called so I called back several times and they said they did not have availability and that the girl who scheduled the corrections was not in and an plethora of excuses each time I called. After time had passed they refused and said I had to pay to get this done because a year had passed and they didn't see any note from the original doctor saying I needed a correction. During one of the calls they said they'd refund me $1,500 but that's nothing compared to what I paid or will have to pay another doctor to do my correction. After trying to get this resolved and calling various times I gave up. I would not recommend them to anyone given that if your surgery isn’t done well or your results aren’t good, they will not take responsibility and correct them.”

“My experience has been so great frm the moment I walked into the office, that I was having "too good to be true" syndrome and hesitated to put my review awaiting the "let down". Well I am just over 1 month post op and I have not been deeply disappointed yet (thought they were supposed to send me a smaller phase 2 garment and I never received it). Lane was a pleasure to work with in making my decision and assured me that the surgeon she was placing me with fit my personality and would give me the results I was seeking. She was spot on. Dr Dawson might not be everyone's "cup of tea" as he's not very talkative but very direct and thorough. Even with a foggy mindset during surgery, I remember feeling at ease the entire time and my results have not disappointed. Very smooth and even incision and a healing journey I couldn't have planned better. The follow-up nursing staff has been just as helpful and supportive s the front desk (before they get your money). I am so glad that I took this journey to get my body back after having birthed and raised 3 kids. Definitely worth it and so happy Dr Dawson was my surgeon. He was a TOP NOTCH professional. ”

“Post op day 12, U/L abdomen, waist, bra roll and Abex. After seeing so much SB on TV and Social Media I did my research and decided to go for consultation. I had a great meet with Ms Lane, she answered all my questions. I decided to go for it. I eventually met with Dr Allison, (I had done my research on him prior to meet). Dr Allison was very patient, answered my questions, explained the procedure. Day of procedure, met again with Dr Allison, he mapped my body and explained procedure. I had now added inner thighs and arms,, he explained that as much as he would love to do all those body parts, best to have in 2 sessions, he explained the rationale and I so much appreciated that, any other surgeon would have just done it all. I did not feel a thing during the whole process. Woke up after the procedure dressed in my faja. I took prescribed pain meds for 3 days. Pain resolves but the discomfort of swelling and compression. I am almost 2 weeks and very happy with my results, still swollen, compressing, massage, hydrating, and walks. I am so happy I did this and thankful to the whole SB Tysons corner team. I am particularly grateful to Dr Allison for his professionalism, for the perfect Abex incision and, for the follow up phone call. Thank you!”

“They will tell you this procedure is painless and let me tell you if have Dr Dawson at this location it is not. It was pretty awful to bear I would describe as a 6/10 pain for two hours. I told dr Dawson I was in pain and he told me that it was all in my head and if I didn’t think about it I wouldn’t be in pain. He did not offer more anesthesia or anything. He also told me that because I didn’t want to go through the pain of diet and exercise I had to go through this pain.

They took off so much skin I can’t even stand straight and my result is horrendous. Dr Dawson is a butcher with no bed side manner. I have a scar across my entire body so I don’t know how I will wear a bikini again even if in six months I get a good result. I feel misled about this whole process.”

She had no compression whatsoever for eight days after the procedure. She was incredibly swollen and miserable. When she went in for her first post-op appointment, the nurse asked her where was her compression binder and compression garment. She answered, "What compression binder?" What compression garment?" The nurse then provided her with a compression binder and ordered her (to be shipped to our home) a compression garment - after eight days of pain and discomfort. Totally unacceptable service!”

“This place is like cattle call. They get your money, rush you through the procedure. I was bleeding and could not speak with a clinician for weeks after my procedure. “I had my initial consultation with Lane who explained everything to me to the point that I left there ready for the procedure. Whenever I had more questions or needed help she was ALWAYS helpful. I went for my preop appointment and boy was I nervous but by the time I left there nurse Janeris and doctor Baraki had made me feel better. All the questions I had at the moment were answered. No one seemed to blow me off at all. As a matter of fact nurse Janerks and Dr. Baraki had to stay late because of me and they never acted irritated or tried to rush me. They took their time with me to ensure I was well. Come surgery day (next day), I got there in high spirits because I had most of my questions answered. The ones I had forgotten Dr. Baraki had told me to write them down and bring them back. He sat there and answered every single one of them. I was more than satisfied with each answer. He did not try to rush me because of schedule. He ensured I was well first. That day I worked with nurse Annalise. She was so funny and welcoming. She really took care of me from the moment she took me from the waiting area to even after the procedure (which went super super well. Didn’t feel any pain just a little pressure). I know some people might look at this review and say it is too good to be true but I beat you to it because I have already said my experience was too good to be true yet it is true. Thank you so so so much Tyson’s Corner Sono Bello. “I had Smart Lipo on my midsection and to say my experience was unacceptable would be an understatement! After about a month, I knew that my results were not what I wanted but I was assured it was just swelling. My experience with Sonobello Tysons has not been acceptable and I've shared with this location that I am not happy and was told there was nothing they could do until after my 6 month follow up (which I'm still waiting to schedule because no one answers the phone).

My initial surgery was with Dr. Dawson in August 2022. I was warned that his bedside manner was not the greatest but I was ok with that because I was assured that he was the best! Now, fast forward 6 months later, I've gone to every follow up appointment and expressed that my results are uneven and I am not happy. I've waited on hold for countless hours, and I'm still waiting to schedule an appointment to figure out how to cash in on their "satisfaction guaranteed" claim because I was told I couldn't do anything until 6 months after my procedure.

This location turns over staff at an incredible rate and I have no idea if these people are quitting or being terminated but the service is not up to par for an establishment that works with people on such an intimate procedure. During the 6 months I've been healing & waiting, I've spoken to nurses who were very kind but did not give me accurate information which led to fibrosis and thousands of dollars spent at my masseuse trying to correct a problem I never should have had in the first place.

After my surgery in August, my top complaint was that I was not prepared efficiently. I'm a very thorough person so I read all the information I was given and I asked questions during the consult. However, none of that prepared me for the questions I didn't know to ask. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have chosen Sonobello! I prefer a more complete and thorough experience that I just couldn't get there. The best part of my experience has been being able to connect with Michelle in the Silver Spring office. Although she doesn't work at the Tysons location, she always finds a way to connect me with the people I need to be connected with and doesn't make me feel like a nuisance when I'm expressing my concerns! I hope they appreciate her because in my book, she's the only good thing they got going for them right now!!

If the review helps at least 1 person, it was worth the time spent! The risk is yours to take but I wish you all the best in making your choice!”

She told me that I had to take the addictive Xanax and opioid prior to surgery , she said I will be injected with a blood pressure spiking medicine to separate fat . Total cost after discount 13k , financing available but i have to pay $2500 out of pocket.

I’m very concerned that these people are prescribing opioids knowing that 100s of people are dying from it every day. I rather have fat belly then die under sugary with all them dangerous medication they want me to take and inject me with dangerous meds that may cause me to have a stoke… And $13k for lipo section? I pass . I suggest you do the same.”

“From the moment I met with my Care Coordinator, Michelle W. I knew that Sonobello would be the place for me. All questions were answered effortlessly and without agitation.
The same goes for Dr. Nickodem, Annalise (Nurse) and all other office staff who assisted with my care before and after surgery.
Dr. Nickodem and staff were attentive during surgery & advocated for me even when I was silent about my discomfort. They were encouraging and gentle. Dr. Nickodem asked if I would like to see the fat removed as she proceeded with each step and talked throughout the procedure making me feel involved.
Aftercare instructions were explained in great detail and I was encouraged to call with any additional questions that I may have.
Although swollen, I can already see a great new shape forming and I am on 2 days post op. I have already received my Stage 2 garment in the mail and am excited to see how much my body changes from now until my one week post op appointment.

“My journey with Sono Bello in Tysons has been nothing less than fantastic! Beginning with a warm welcome from Alma at the front desk to the care after my procedure.

My initial consultation was with Lane. I can’t write enough positive words to describe her. Her outgoing and happy demeanor immediately put my nerves at ease, as did her knowledge and compassion for my well being. She stayed in touch throughout the entire process, which made me feel special vs. feeling like just a “Sale”.

The next interactions I had were with the pre-op medical assistant, Yheune, Nurse Clinical Manager, Mel, and OR nurse Dez. All of them were compassionate, kind, and patient. They gave me time to ask all my questions and express any concerns that I may have had regarding surgery. With their support and caring, my anxiety dissipated.

Now I would like to talk about pre-op and surgery day with Dr. Dawson. Now if you are like me, you read previous reviews. Quite frankly, I would like to challenge the reviews that portrayed a negative impression of him. On the contrary, I found him to be professional and candid throughout the entire process, which I appreciated immensely. Some complained that he wasn’t warm etc. I think perhaps his professional demeanor was confused with him not caring, but I totally disagree. Not only did he perform my surgery with perfect skill, he personally followed up with me the next day to see how I was feeling. He expressed care for me which made me feel like I wasn’t just a procedure to him, but a valued human being. Bottom line is this: I did not choose Dr. Dawson for hugs and warm fuzzy feelings, which some folks complained he did not provide. I chose the exemplary team at Sono Bello to achieve impeccable results in contouring my body, which Dr. Dawson did flawlessly. He exceeded my expectations and I am fortunate that he was the surgeon who performed my procedure.

In sum, I highly recommend the Sono Bello team in Tysons, VA. Trust in them; undoubtedly, you will be in terrific hands.”

“I had surgery in 2019, and Sonobello has the worst customer service I have ever had. I had to go back two times to fix the situation and go back under anesthesia twice due to their mistakes, and they still did not do a good job. I have reached out several times regarding my files being sent to another office because I am not happy with Sonobello. So now I have to fix their mistake with another company. I asked for a callback, and it took a week for them to call back, and I had to cancel my surgery date because they were not faxing over my documents. It’s been a week of waiting, and now they are telling me I must wait two more weeks. This is unacceptable! I would never recommend this company. I am not the only one that had that issue with their work. Their incompetence as a certified medical company that deals in surgeries and the fact that they could not fill a simple request of faxing over medical records that by law were requested in a timely matter it is unethical and unprofessional Horrible!”

“Dr.N was my doctor and she was straight forward with how the procedure was going to happen and what I could expect during it. During the consult she advised me of what she thought I needed to have done to get closer to the results I wanted. Although, they kept trying to push for me to have skin removal, I was adamant that I did not need that, she respected my decision and prepared me for what I was going to have done. (It felt great to know my body and return after the first week and have the staff tell me I was right with my decision to not have the skin removed because it wasn’t needed)
Fina was great! She was my follow up nurse and she gave me realistic expectations of what was needed to complete my journey.
My only complaints were not seeing the doctor after the procedure, and the lack of consideration on those having to travel over two hours for appointments. They didn’t try to accommodate times that would be easier for those of us having to travel. I had appointments that would require me to leave home at 5 in the morning because I live in Richmond VA. and went to the Tyson’s location.
My biggest complaint is their price and their financing company. ”

“On 01/22/22, I went for my consultation with Lane Veech. We talked like we were girlfriends over a glass of wine. She made me feel so comfortable. No judgment. I left her office on cloud 100 and with no regret. On 02/18/22, I went for my pre-procedure and met Yhune. He was so lovely and professional. He made me feel so comfortable by being a man looking at me and taking pictures of my body. On 02/24/22, I went for my procedure, and Annalise took very care of me before and during. She had me laughing to bring down my blood pressure and stop me from being nervous. Then Dr. Nickodem came in and had me laughing as well. I felt so comfortable before and during the procedure. Dr. Nickodem called me at home to check on me. I thought that was a wonderful touch. Alma helped in the procedure room and kept me safe and well. On 03/03/22, I went for my post-procedure and met Fina Malave. She was so lovely and upbeat. She had me laughing and feeling so good. Listen to me and my concerns and answer every question with knowledge. Give me helpful advice on what is happening to my body and what to do to help it get better. Email me later to check on me as well. I emailed her about something, and she responded in an excellent, timely manner. On 03/15/22, I had my second procedure with Dr. Nickodem and Erin. Last time they took excellent care of me. On 03/24/22 I saw Fina again for the follow-up from my second procedure, and she was still the same happy, loving, and helpful person. On 04/04/22, I went for my one-month post-procedure with Mellanie, and she was as wonderful as the others.
 All I can say about all the people I met in Sono Bello McLean, VA, is that they are the BIGGEST CHEERLEADERS you can have and a support group. They all have made me feel like I was the only person they were working on, like a Celebrity.

Dr Nikodem was super professional and was very patient with me during the procedure (the meds they gave to calm you beforehand made me loopy), so I felt very at ease. Mel, the pre-op nurse, I believe Amy and Nikki were the nurses in the operating suite were incredibly kind and thurough. I cannot praise this practice enough! If you are planning on getting sculpting, go here!!!!
